Every day the loonies on the right become more frantic in their search to find something, anything, that they can be right about. In spite of all their dire predictions Obama is steadily bringing the economy back, ending wars, solving the immigration problem, ending discrimination against gays, making health care available to millions more Americans and may even be able to put a dent in gun violence. They desperately want to win at something but every argument they make flies in the face of logic, science and morality.
All the right wing has left is a collection of frustrated losers that lie, cheat, slander, spin, whine and bark at the moon. I have to admit, its fascinating to watch them chase their tails here on Topix.

Weekend Flashback: Cruz Goes All McCarthy on Hagel

http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/t...

pointless exercise. Hagel will be the next SOD. not even in doubt.

there is a small portion of the Senate that thinks it is above reproach. an arrogance that is usually totally unearned. on top of that fact they are once again on the wrong side of the majority.

can someone explain how anyone can think they can win when they are constantly in the minority? and how does that garner respect? beyond the Colbert Report.

Obama Team Mocks ‘Skeeters’ After Release Of White House Photo
Following the release of a photo showing President Barack Obama shooting clay targets — a response to those who have raised doubt at Obama's recent claim that he goes skeet shooting "all the time" — two members of the White House's inner circle on Saturday responded to the skeptics on Twitter.
David Plouffe, Obama's 2008 campaign manager and an outgoing White House adviser, took a swipe at the "skeet birthers." "Make our day," wrote Plouffe:

That's not Obama in the picture, if you look closely you'll recognize that its Skip Fundy, a Hollywood stuntman known for standing in for such luminaries as Dustin Hoffman and Lindsey Lohan.

It's clear there's two fundamental ideologies dominating this country, but the closer to Washington you get the less defined they become until the two merge into a single, all consuming Juggernaut. No matter who argues what, it always results in the bureaucracy getting bigger and our voices getting fainter. I won't say we're at a point of no return but it's looking more and more like there's only one way out.
This should be obvious but the voting public is deluded into thinking there's a recognizable difference between the two major parties.

What do you think is the "one way out"?

seems like we learn something new from the right wing conspiracy sites on a daily basis. though those chain-emails floriduh loves so much are highly 'informative'. and keeping Snopes in business.

think they'll ever figure out Obama won the election? or will they just keep 'vetting' him for 4 more years since it worked out so well the first time around.

if this thread is any indication, it's going to be a laugh fest.

Funny how it works.

Eight years ago the leftists screamed about how the economy was lousy, worst since the Depression, and unemployment was briefly a whopping 6.3%.

Now, after four years of unemployment around 8% or worse, we're used to it. Nobody, especially the left, squawks.

Seven years ago the price of gasoline went over $4/gallon briefly and the leftists screamed about how Bush was profiteering. Princess Pelosi wanted to know the FACTS, dammit!

Now, after four years of gas prices above $3/gallon (and for a while over $5/gallon in some areas) we're used to it. No complaining. We'll just drive smaller cars.

Eight years ago Code Pink was creating a hysterical scene in front of the White House because THEY CARED SO DEEPLY about the war in Afghanistan.

We're still getting body bags from Afghanistan. Where's Code Pink?

Strip away all the fake "causes", and all leftists have the same simple, common purpose: THEY WANT FREE STUFF FROM THE GUBBERMINT. All the other stuff is nothing but a smoke screen to attack the Evil GOP, whom they regard as less likely to give them free stuff.

The GOP’s Easily Avoidable Self-Inflicted Wounds on Foreign Policy

Republican Nebraska Sen. Mike Johanns has reportedly announced his support for Hagel’s nomination, which makes it extremely unlikely that there are enough votes to filibuster even if there were an interest in doing so. Not only has the anti-Hagel campaign evidently failed, but it has also done lasting damage to the GOP in what was always very likely to be a vain effort to scuttle a major Cabinet nomination. The last time that the GOP found itself this isolated on the wrong side of a major national security vote was probably during the ratification debate over New START.

As in the New START debate, former and current national security officials were strongly and almost unanimously in favor of something that should have been easily approved, and most Republicans in the Senate opposed it anyway. As they were during the treaty ratification debate, Republican objections to Hagel have been spurious, made in bad faith, and driven by ideological preoccupations that reflect the views of a third of their own party at most. It appears that they have lost in both cases, and both efforts have ended up making them appear ridiculous. Anti-treaty Republicans made fools of themselves by fighting an arms control measure that was more modest than anything previous Republican presidents had embraced, and this week anti-Hagel Republicans have managed to embarrass themselves with their continued hostility to the idea of containment.

Since Bush and the GOP were repudiated at the polls in 2006, the party has had several opportunities to correct their disastrous foreign policy thinking, and it has failed to take advantage of a single one.

Well, just finished installing a redundant (post honeypot) alarm system under my bed to catch all my sockpuppets. Next step is to put a cheap camera/alarm out front to catch the sockpuppet who keeps stealing my name. Already did the cafeteria.
That dumb slimey sockpuppet has no clue I'm getting him next time. He's getting fingerprinted for sure next time. Can't wait until the next election when I can get myself arrested.
That will be fun. Justice.

John Kerry says that President Obama offered him the secretary of state job a week before Susan Rice publicly pulled out of the running for the job.
“He called me, actually a week before Susan got out of the thing,” Kerry tells the Boston Globe.“He called me and said,‘You’re my choice. I want you to do this.’ He asked me to keep it quiet. I did. I sat on it.”
At the time, Rice pulling out of the running for the top State Department job suggested that the position had simply fallen to Kerry, who had been in a neck-and-neck competition for the job. Now it seems that the White House allowed Susan Rice, the ambassador to the United Nations, to publicly save face by publicly withdrawing from a job that was never going to be offered to her in the first place.
Rice had come under fire for misleading the American public about what really happened in the terror attack against Americans on September 11 in Benghazi, Libya.
Obama allowed the right whiners to self destruct on the Rice thing. Obama had never offered her the job.

Looks to me that coal construction is at least in better shape than nuclear:

The Boy Messiah can't possibly fund Obamacare in any normal government way so efficiencies need to be increased dramatically.
Those citizens below, say, 60 years of age pay one helluva lot more in taxes than the spent nobodies draining away government resources and revenues. We've all heard about how unfair it is to coming generations that they be heavily taxed for SS benefits that they'll never live to see. It makes a young person angry that they should be forced to support those old bags. Let them die. I've got kids, a wife, a mortgage to take care of, they say. Obama's right. Let them die off. They've already had their chance. I haven't.
It's a New Age and the Boy Messiah loves you all.

Yep, Obamacare is just like the Holocaust.

sorry. no one sends me right wing chain-emails so i must rely on fact checking sites and The American Conservative.

funny how those real conservatives are getting fed up with you fake Tea Party fools.

....Conservatives, frankly, have become purveyors of outrage instead of preachers for a cause. Instead of showing how increasing government harms people, how free markets help people, and how conservative policies benefit all Americans, we scream “Benghazi” and “Fast & Furious.”

We’re off key and off message. We’ve become professional victims dialed up to 10 on the outrage meter. Who the hell wants to listen to conservatives whining and moaning all the time about the outrage du jour? Seriously? Mitt Romney ran a campaign on just how bad things are, but he was rejected by a majority of Americans who felt like he really did not care about them and really had no plans to improve their lives.

Bitching about Benghazi doesn’t do that either.

By this panel's refusal to fairly compensate Medicare doctors, the market will dry up and finding a Medicare Doctor will become impossible for many older Americans. This is "cost savings" for the system. I have personally spoken with physicians who say just what I wrote above.
The expression "Death Panel" may be seen as hyperbole and pooh-poohed by Liberal snakes but the effect will be the same.
Liberal/Socialist Rule: NEVER call things what they are but find some harmless sounding replacement for it.
"Efficiency Panel" sounds a lot better than "Death Panel" for elder care.
There is no reduction to doctors in the ACA.
