Barack Obama, our next President

Cherry picking, eh? Numbers cannot be ignored, except by extremists like you loons here.

If Obama is a "moderate" then you are not a liar and you are very smart, none of which is true.

The National Journal, in its 27th annual vote ratings, identified Obama as "the most liberal senator"

of course what that really means is:
"Until bright young students and engineers are enlisted in our workforce, and MS-13 and other gang bangers can continue draining our social services, educational, prisons, maternity wards and all tax-payer funded systems rather than expelled from our country.”
Nah, I understand that. When y'all can't make a point with facts you just make up "facts" to make your point.

BTW, its clear from the quote you posted he was referring to students on student visas not illegal aliens.

Virginia Democrats are raising hell after Republicans unexpectedly rammed a controversial redistricting bill through the state Senate on Monday, capitalizing on the absence of a Democratic lawmaker and civil rights leader who was in Washington for President Barack Obama's second inauguration.

The Virginia Senate is currently split evenly between Democrats and Republicans, each occupying 20 seats in the legislative body. Democratic State Sen. Harry Marsh's absence paved the way for passage of the previously unannounced legislation by a count of 20 votes to 19.

"The new redistricting map revises the districts created under the 2011 map," writes Talking Points Memo's Evan McMorris-Santoro, "and would take effect before the next state Senate elections in Virginia and would redraw district lines to maximize the number of safe GOP seats."

The state has the right5 to regulate it's own waters.
The waters beyond the state's boundaries the federal government has the right to regulate.
There are multiple laws passed by Congress that dictate how these regulations will be applied.
One such law is the EPA guidelines.
Another such law gives the Exeucitve Branch of government the authority to issue offshore leases in waters beyond the state waters boundary.
By law passed by Congress, the Chief Executive has the authority to regulate lease sales and conditions in federal waters.
The Chief Executive also has the authority to regulate lease sales and conditions on federal lands - which is why exploration of federal lands has dropped to just about zero since Obama took office.(He's saving that oil so he can give it to China, idiot.)
Now, back to the point, dufus.
The president does not have the authority to issue edicts to the population. The president has no authority outside the Executive Branch of government. Thus, no executive order can have authority outside the Executive Branch of government.
The only valid commands to the population must come in the form of a law passed by Congress and enacted in accordance with the Constitution.
Thus, any executive order from Obama giving any command to anyone or anything outside the Executive Branch of government isn't worth the paper it is written on.
If Obama had ever read the Constitution at least once in his life, he'd know that.
Did you just admit that there was an executive order banning offshore drilling in some areas?

I think you did.

So,what executive order from Obama are you talking about?

Perhaps I should have said "existing environmental regulations" instead of referenceing the actual agency that was later formed to enforce those regulations. Sorry for the oversight.

We still haven't heard form the Democrats on these issues.
Here's the questions again the Democrats are running away from like scalded dogs:

Where was Obama during the 7-hour battle between Al Qaeda and the stripped-down American security detatchment in Benghazi while the real-time video was being watched in the White House?

And;

Where will the money come from to pay for Obama's government?

So far, the Democrats have made some ludicrous proposals:

Tax the so-called "rich" who don't even have that much in earnings if you taxed them at 100 percent;

Economic canibalism. Tax/seize existing assets as earnings, something directly from Das Kapital;

Create an alternate government funded by the Executive Branch violating the Constitution and minting trillion dollar coins to give to the Federal Reserve, who gives the Executive Branch real money to pay for the unconstitutional alternate government (the only constitutional government requires that Congress be in full control of all spending and borrowing);

And, giving parts of states of the United States to China in exchange for payment on their part of the debt.

Are you idiots insane?

So, where will the money come from to pay for Obama's government?

"the term "Third Reich",[9] and advocated an ideology combining the nationalism of the right and the socialism of the left."
"the right-wing Volkish nationalist supporters of the Nazis moved to the new German Völkisch Freedom Party, leaving the north's left-wing Nazi members, such as Joseph Goebbels retaining support for the party.[52]"
so you can explain why Nazism was supported by leading capitalists and right wingers in the US?

First of all, the students are LEGAL aliens when they come to our colleges & universities.
Second they currently leave when they can not become legal after college.
Third, we would enable them to be legal if they wanted to stay.
There is not "illegal" anything.
Why do we need educated aliens when we have over 300 million goddam people here and the most expensive education system in the world ready to educate them?
Being here should be an opportunity to an alien, and not a requirement for us.

Why do we have the most ignorant workforce in the industrialized world, while at the same time we have the most expensive education system in the entire world?

By no means am I a tree hugger. But I do remember in the 70s the joke was fish in the Hudson River don't swim they walk across it. To this day it is a health risk to eat fish from the nearby Green River because of the Mercury and PCBs that were dumped in before the EPA was formed. If you want to know what the US would look like without an EPA just look at China. Street lights on during the day due to all the air pollution.

One answer: politics; and, unless and until the money is ever removed from politics then this will continue.
Nothing is perfect; however, without some regulations, the corporations would be able to pollute and burn and ravage every forest, stream, river, coastline for profit.
While I understand your point; who is to say that BP would have been completely liable? Furthermore, bankruptcy is never an end to an entity, it is a rebirth; just ask Mitt and Da Donald.
Large multi national corporations would protect themselves accordingly, i.e. go bankrupt and not pay the damages and reopen the next day under PB.

How can you be in such denial? Why are all the southern states red now?
Those are rhetorical questions since this has been shown to you many many times, you just refuse to accept that your party actively sought to bring southern racists rebelling against the Democratic Party into the Republican Party and that's where they've stayed until today and that's why the southern states are red.
You just don't tell the whole story.

Northern and Western Democrats supported civil rights as did Republicans. However, major civil rights bills in the 1950s and 60s generally depended more on Republican than Democratic support in Congress.

Conservatives in the GOP were split at the time – few lent their support to the Thurmond/Wallace/Bull Connor faction which was almost exclusively the province of the Democrats but some objected on other grounds to the pace and methods used to push civil rights, most famously Barry Goldwater’s opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 on constitutional grounds (Goldwater had supported other civil rights measures and would again). But those were disagreements about tactics and not outcomes.

Today, the old Dixiecrat resistance is thoroughly discredited. Most conservatives today want no part of the objections raised by Goldwater and his allies at the time.

The Nixon-era institution of affirmative action and the 1970s controversies over school busing remains much more controversial. Very few of the racially charged issues of the past 47 years had anything to do with legal equality for African-Americans.

On the GOP side, a number of the old Dixiecrats, led by Thurmond himself, switched parties. Ex-Dixiecrats like Thurmond and Jesse Helms abandoned their prior support for segregation along with the party they had left behind.

It's just that liberals can't seem to figure out which is worse. The entire Southern bloc of Democrats voting against civil rights since the Civil War up until the mid 1960s or Nixon voting for busing to keep peace in the south even though he was against it personally.

Or two Dixiecrats leaving behind the Democrat Party to join the side of Republicans changing their views on segreation in the process and Robert Byrd belonging to the KKK.

You can't dismiss an entire legacy of Southern Democrats because of an election strategy by Republicans to win the Southern states based on family values and gun ownership rights.

Or one controversial vote by one Republican president who did more to advance civil rights than any Democrat.

You just can't. If blacks can turn their backs that quickly on the party who had steadfastly been loyal to them because of one vote over busing, they need to take a long and hard look at the party who would have oppressed their rights to this day if the Southern bloc of Democrats had gotten their way.
