Barack Obama, our next President

The entire nation is experiencing extremes in climate.

California is freezing while eastern states are relatively toasty.

http://video.today.msnbc.msn.com/today/504412...

Probably has more to do with the magnetic poles moving at 40 km per year than global warming.

http://www.nasa.gov/vision/earth/lookingatear...

Not to worry though. Scientists have long known that the magnetic pole moves.

Just like scientists have long known the climate changes.

I too am a big fan of southerners driving around in a circle until one of them smashes into a wall and he and his car and the four behind it are turned into a huge fireball that rises like the Phoenix into the afternoon air and then descends with a crash into the grandstands where acres of moon-faced adults sit transfixed by the imminence of death. Sigh! Where would we be without sports?

Why do Libs blame Bush?????????? Over 90% of ALL the home loans that went bad in 2008 at the economic collaspe were less than 5 year old loans. What happened in 2003 that 5 years later it ALL collapsed?????????? Why were lending rules were made so easy anyone with a heart beat could get a loan starting in 2003 ??????????
.
President Bush Signs American Dream Downpayment Act of 2003
.
Bush at the signing: "Last year I set a goal to add 5.5 million new homeowners in America by the end of the decade".
.
We understand that buying a home is a big step, and so these three recommendations we're making, these three changes in the rules will make that step easier; will enable people to make the step to buying a home -- they'll be able to do so with more confidence. These are practical ways that we are working to expand home ownership across the country.

What's astonishing is this information is readily available for anyone to look up for themselves.

Seems the main reason we're such a divided nation is the lack of interest in searching for the truth.

If it's not a liberal talking point, it simply doesn't exist for half the country. Or so it would seem.

backfire....

Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s stance on religious liberty likely won accolades from conservative Evangelicals, but he was probably not expecting to be lauded by Satanists as well.

Yet a group of Satanists in the Sunshine State will actually hold a rally in support of Scott on Jan. 25, reported Politicker.

The rally is meant to show solidarity with the governor specifically due to his support for a bill passed July 2012 that “allows an inspirational message to be delivered by students at a student assembly.”

No, dear, what's astonishing is that a grown woman would respond to a post by someone who calls himself old crazy goober expecting a lucid response or praise. We are a divided nation because half of us can't see why you'd ever do that?

Community Reinvestment Act had nothing to do with subprime crisis

Fresh off the false and politicized attack on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, today we’re hearing the know-nothings blame the subprime crisis on the Community Reinvestment Act — a 30-year-old law that was actually weakened by the Bush administration just as the worst lending wave began. This is even more ridiculous than blaming Freddie and Fannie.

The Community Reinvestment Act, passed in 1977, requires banks to lend in the low-income neighborhoods where they take deposits. Just the idea that a lending crisis created from 2004 to 2007 was caused by a 1977 law is silly. But it’s even more ridiculous when you consider that most subprime loans were made by firms that aren’t subject to the CRA. University of Michigan law professor Michael Barr testified back in February before the House Committee on Financial Services that 50% of subprime loans were made by mortgage service companies not subject comprehensive federal supervision and another 30% were made by affiliates of banks or thrifts which are not subject to routine supervision or examinations. As former Fed Governor Ned Gramlich said in an August, 2007, speech shortly before he passed away:“In the subprime market where we badly need supervision, a majority of loans are made with very little supervision. It is like a city with a murder law, but no cops on the beat.”

Not surprisingly given the higher degree of supervision, loans made under the CRA program were made in a more responsible way than other subprime loans. CRA loans carried lower rates than other subprime loans and were less likely to end up securitized into the mortgage-backed securities that have caused so many losses, according to a recent study by the law firm Traiger & Hinckley

Finally, keep in mind that the Bush administration has been weakening CRA enforcement and the law’s reach since the day it took office. The CRA was at its strongest in the 1990s, under the Clinton administration, a period when subprime loans performed quite well. It was only after the Bush administration cut back on CRA enforcement that problems arose, a timing issue which should stop those blaming the law dead in their tracks. The Federal Reserve, too, did nothing but encourage the wild west of lending in recent years. It wasn’t until the middle of 2007 that the Fed decided it was time to crack down on abusive pratices in the subprime lending market. Oops.

No part of the Cra forced anyone to give a loan.
Please name ANY bank that claims they were forced to lend?
Conservatives will simply lie about anything
If you were a bank and knew if you denied a loan to a minority, you would have a lot of 'splainin' to do to a bunch of bureaucrats and faced being charged with discrimination, you'd feel like you were being forced to give out a bad loan without anyone ever having to come right out and say it.

Why is it, that you ringers grasp onto the most obscure argument in order to do NOTHING only because admitting climate change meant a lifestyle change that you didn't want. Well I'm sorry it's a bit late now and this lifestyle change is coming your way real soon wether you like it or not. Extreme weather is the result of climate change, even your favorite man about town Big Al Gore predicted that. Australia is burning up at the moment with record highs never seen in 100's of years. The weather people had to find a new color to represent the heat patterns on the map. Two years ago a third of the East coast was under water in floods at the same time of year. Yet you lot want to stay in denial. It's people like you that is sending us all into oblivion.

Take a look at some of these pics and tell me its normal weather.

But... I'm not a bank, carol, no one here is. So, you see, it's hard to feel sorry for an inanimate object. Well, "a bank's just some people trying to get ahead in life through hard work and innovation," you might reasonably say. But then I say, "Come back to bed, carol, you're making yourself look foolish because you are unable to dot the "i"s or cross the "t"s of logic. Just lay back and settle for the admittedly ignominious title of "conservative woman", or, "How To Enjoy Being a Mere Convenient Receptacle For Some Man."

While today’s NRA takes hardline positions against even the most modest gun control measures, this was not always the case. Throughout its history, the NRA supported gun control, including restrictions on gun ownership, and was not focused on the Second Amendment.
But the organization had a change of heart in the 1970s when the Black Panthers advocated for an individual right to bear arms. Ironically, the Panthers were the founders of the modern-day gun rights movement, which became the purview of predominantly white, rural conservatives.

How about the Constitutional issue, dufus.

The president does not have the authority to write his own laws to suit his whim. We got rid of that system over two hundred years ago. We have no intention of having that system of government re-instated.

No citizen is required to obey or comply with any instruction from the government unless that instruction comes in the form of a law enacted in accordance with the Constitution.

Any attempt to force citizens to obey orders from the government that are not issued as part of a law enacted in accordance with the Constitution is treason against the American people.

However, the Democrats are too full of themselves and their ability to program the American people with lies to not start a civil war intended to eliminate the Constitution, and they are too ignorant to avoid doing it. Obama writing hiw own laws, specifically one that is in direct contradiction to the Constitution, is merely the formal beginning of that civil war the Democrats need to eliminate the Constitution.

When the smoke clears, the winners will certainly hang the losers.

See you then.
