And oil companies don't actually make all that much profit on the dollar, TWO to FOUR cents average.
What drains people at the gaspumps-
TAXES.
So save your clueless bobblehead propoganda-because not everyone are idiots.
I agree that all Americans aren't idiots, that's the exclusive right of those on the "RIGHT" like you.

First of all, who is "they", the Senate? the House? In our democratic government this isn't even a remote possibility. You just provided an example that exposes the absurdity of the slippery slope argument. Even in the ridiculous hypothetical situation you described, I have confidence that the American people would impeach anyone entertaining your fantasy world theory.
The current Democrat Senate would not convict Obama on impeachment regardless of his actions.

You raise a question that no right winger will answer. If the US Government decided to "round up" "execute" or otherwise abuse gun owneres, or any other large segment of the population, who would actually do the rounding up?

Oh, not so. There is the opium production, drug routes and oil pipeline routes (and natural resources) that they have secured and want to keep.
Not 'winnable', and sustainable, I'd agree. Being there at all was folly. But staying there is pure folly. But stay we will. For the obvious reasons.
We went to Iraq for nothing but to secure the oil for big mega corporations.
Mission accomplished.
If there is no more oil, we will all be walking. No one

Exxon as of 2012 made $104 MILLION profit every day 7 days per week 365 days per year. The .04 cents is at the gas pump. Most of their income is due to it costing them $2.30/barrel to produce and selling it on the world market at almost $100/barrel.
The next big sell out of America by them is the new found natural gas. In Aug of 2012 they filed for a permit to build the largest LPG port in America. All this new gas that was suppose to get us off import oil all together will be shipped to China.
Drill Baby Drill and Frack Baby Frack helped NO one in America. We were sold out by big oil.
.
WASHINGTON The Republican Senate blocked an effort to end billions of dollars in tax breaks for the oil industry, brushing aside President Obama's argument that the five big oil companies were doing "just fine" while consumers were struggling with painfully high gasoline prices.

There's no secret. No one loves the idea of drones, however, they have been pretty effective. Would Mitt Romney or any future republican president abolish the use of drones? Or is it that you just have another excuse to whine about the President?
Drones are a good thing when compared to the alternatives. Additionally the vast majority of drone flights are simply for the purpose of gathering intel.

Carol's distaste for drones is puzzling imo. Perhaps she would prefer F-116 A's or A-10's rolling hot on target and inevitably leading to US POW's.

You seem to think Social Security and Medicare are sustainable. Republicans want to reform both so they will still be viable programs for those 50 and under down the road.
This adminstration wants the easily fooled to believe the status quo is perfectly acceptable. You, for instance.
Liberals are the guilty ones when it comes to changing the "American Way of Life". They want Obama to fundamentally change it until it's totally unrecognizable.
Open your eyes.
SS and Medicare ARE very sustainable. And the working poor, folks like you, will need it more than ever!!

You're just a fool who is easily conned by wealthy folks like Bill O'Reilly, worth hundreds of millions to your bupkis!!

It's all a matter of priorities.

Our military is a failure, filled with criminals like Petraeus and rape scandals in all branches of service.

Time to cut it by at least half.

We can't afford to be the world's troublemaker anymore.

We haven't won a war since WWII.

Unless you consider Rayguns heroics in Grenada a war!! LOL

Comes down to guns or butter. Guns have been a failure, making us less secure by the day, time to focus on butter.

Take care of America, let the rest of the world take care of themselves.

You complain about drones, but Realtime posted your message where you demanded Obama get involved in Libya during teh rebellion.

You can't have it both ways, you flip-flopping nitiwt!!

Here's a more probable example of a government gone wrong:
Deuteronomy 13:7 If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or your intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your father have not known, gods of any other nation, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity on him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the lord, your god.

Republicans want the Bible taught in our schools.

It wasn't intervention; it was supportive, just like with Turkey:

Also, U.S. forces helped in a failed rescue attempt of a French intelligence agent. The White House announced Sunday evening that the American military had provided "limited technical support" to a French military operation in Somalia, in which commandos attempted to rescue an intelligence agent who has been held by al-Shabaab for years. President Barack Obama authorized the use of American fighters to provide indirect support of the operation, but the fighters never dropped any munitions and left Somalian air space soon after. The French military operation was described as bloody and failed to rescue
Denis Allex, a French intelligence agent using a cover name, according to the WaPo, who is believed dead. One other French soldier was killed in the operation, which took place about 75 miles northwest of the capital Mogadishu, and another is missing; 17 Islamic soldiers were also killed.
Obama, in a letter to Congress - "I directed U.S. forces to support this
rescue operation in furtherance of U.S. national security interests, and
pursuant to my constitutional authority to conduct U.S. foreign relations and as Commander in Chief and Chief Executive."
