Which is a ridiculous statement.
Most people would have been compliant knowing the police were there trying to protect their property.
It's when Gates became beligerent when first met by the police as to their purpose for being there, refusing to produce any identification and his first reponse being "Why, because I'm a black man in America?" that the trouble started.
Would that have been your first reaction?
All you can do is plumb ancient history??

Is there another election you can use this against Obama, or is it all just sour grapes from a loser??

The latter, fer sure.

Obama won re-election, yet you never talk about why your side performed so badly.

All you do is continue the same losing arguments that didn't work for you for four years.

----------

BTW, the Cambridge Police dropped the charges.

When police drop charges, they admit they had no ability to convict.

The cop entered Gates' residence without permission. In many states, he could have been shot - legally.

I despise intrigue.

I just heard on C-span that they've found a notebook belonging to Vince Foster of the Clinton administration. Some homeless guy had found it on the ground around the time Foster was killed.

Apparently it contained details of private conversations with Hillary Billary and sources say it demonstrates that Hillary and he were having an affair!

How the mighty libs tumble, eh?

It's Obama and the liberals who keep bringing it up and, in the process, have done more to make it worse than to heal any residual racial divide.
So why do they do that? For what purpose other than to create more derisiveness on the issue and for no other reason than personal and political gain?
I'd really like to know.

Agree. CIA?
lily's response just four posts later.

The CIA base in Benghazi was operating a secret war in Libya and elsewhere in the region. Contractor-operatives such as Woods could each manage rebel groups of up to 100 and create a lot of damage on the local governments thus distracting the national military forces.
Petreaus's main squeeze would later confirm this to be true at a speaking engagement in Colorado where she added that the CIA base in Benghazi had been used to house prisoners.

And the right wing loons think it was all about the embassy annex.

How do you know what 'most Americans' believe??

You're a shut-in with no social life but Topix!!

As for who's promoting racism, read it and weep, nitwit;

----------

Racial Comment by Republican Official in Ohio Rekindles Battle Over Early Voting"

"Doug Preisse, the influential Republican Party chairman of Franklin County, which includes the state capital, Columbus, was quoted in The Columbus Dispatch newspaper as saying,“I guess I really actually feel we shouldn’t contort the voting process to accommodate the urban — read African-American — voter turnout machine.”

----------

Another Stupid, Racist Comment by the Republicans? Say It Aint So

"A supporter named Ed Koziol wrote to the representative first saying that he was glad of the voter suppression laws that Clemmons had drafted. He then commented that the government shouldn't offer a reward for people to obtain voter ID cards because, in his words, "It would be like a swarm of bees going after a watermelon."

----------

How's about your hero, Newt??

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), claims that poor children have “no habits of working.” While he does not explicitly say “black children,” his related comments about “black people deserving better than food stamps” as well as his tinged epitaph for Obama, the “food stamp president,” allow us to draw a dotted line. Again, not the end of a campaign."

----------

"Yes, "Mittens" finally made the list. At a campaign stop in Michigan, former Governor Romney (R-Mass.), quipped,“No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate; they know that this is the place that we were born and raised.”(‘Because I’m white”). In an obvious allusion to the birther movement, Romney single-handedly validated the belief that Obama is a foreign-born socialist muslim terrorist. Bravo governor, bravo."

----------

" Rep. Joe Walsh, R-Ill., has again inserted foot into mouth by making some ignorant comments in regard to Hispanics, blacks and welfare. Last week at a Town Hall meeting, Walsh told constituents the Democratic Party wants Hispanics and blacks to be dependent on government and also said civil rights leader Jesse Jackson wants the same thing.

"Jesse Jackson would be out of work if (blacks) weren't dependent on government," Walsh said.

On Friday, Walsh had the opportunity to apologize on the "Big John & Amy" radio show but instead, as reported by the Chicagoist, he stepped in even deeper saying, "All Jesse Jackson is trying to do is to keep African-Americans down on some plantation."

----------

The problem with you racists is that you're too obtuse to recognize racism from your own, because it is part of your core value system.

You're disgusting.

NBC News exit poll on election day 2012:
52% of Americans said America was on the wrong track while 46% said the nation was "generally going in the right direction."
Exit polls showed that most voters, 53%, thought the federal government is doing too much.
Exit polls also showed 25% favored total repeal of Obamcare, another 23% wanted to see some of it repealed, 19% favored leaving the law as it is, and another 25% want expansion of the law.
Again, the majority wanted all of it or some of it repealed.
