The link to race was, it was a coincidence the zones where banks lost money also were predominantly black. Banks don't care what you're race is. They only care that you pay your goddam note and the interest that allows them to not collapse.
Banks were faced with the threat of law suits if they did not make loans to these zones that historically caused them to lose money. The New York Times published an article in 1999 describing Cill Clinton applying the power of the White House to that threat. And, that article also predicted what we saw later in 2008.

And, lo and behold, Bill Clinton applying the weight of the White House to force banks to make loans in areas that historically caused the banks to lose money almost collapsed the entire banking system of the United States.

Don't Blame Liberals for Gun Control

ANTI-GUN CRUSADERS seem worried about the advent of a Republican administration. Heaven knows why. Republicans, in recent years, have managed to do nearly as much damage to the Second Amendment as Democrats.

In 1969, journalist William Safire asked Richard Nixon what he thought about gun control. "Guns are an abomination," Nixon replied. According to Safire, Nixon went on to confess that, "Free from fear of gun owners' retaliation at the polls, he favored making handguns illegal and requiring licenses for hunting rifles."

It was President George Bush, Sr. who banned the import of "assault weapons" in 1989, and promoted the view that Americans should only be allowed to own weapons suitable for "sporting purposes."

It was Governor Ronald Reagan of California who signed the Mulford Act in 1967, "prohibiting the carrying of firearms on one's person or in a vehicle, in any public place or on any public street." The law was aimed at stopping the Black Panthers, but affected all gun owners.

Twenty-four years later, Reagan was still pushing gun control. "I support the Brady Bill," he said in a March 28, 1991 speech, "and I urge the Congress to enact it without further delay."

Ah. Sunday morning. Let's go over the list of things not done this week and see if we can catch up on some things.
Looks like there were two questions that never got answered this week.
And it looks like the same fraud Democrats that ran away from these questions all week are here today.
Do any of you fascist Democrats have an answer to these questions nobody in the world has been able to answer:

Where was Obama during the 7-hour battle between Al Qaeda and the stripped-down security detatchment in Benghazi while the real-time video was being watched in the White House?

And;

Where will the money come from to pay for Obama's government?

And a bonus question:

When will Obama formally declare a rebellion against the government of the United States and begin writing his own laws to suit his whim?

It is a little humorous that it was the Democrats that used the word "fascist" to insult everything they didn't like, and now it is those same Democrats attempting to replace the constitutional republic with a fascist dictatorship.

How about a lesson on the Constitution, dufus.
The Constitution prohibits the president from issuing edicts to the population.
An Executive order has no authority outside the Executive Branch of government.
The only commands/requirements/restrict ions from the government any American citizen is obligated by law to comply with are in the form of laws enacted in accordance with the Constitution. No American citizen is required to obey any order from the government that did not originate in the form of a law enacted in accordance with the Constitution.
Let's introduce to you some definitions. We'll start with:
Fascism - a system where the head of state defines the government and blind alegiance to the state is required. Because the head of state defines the state, blind alegiance to the head of state is required.
In a fascist system, the head of state can write his own law to suit his whim.
The Constitution was written to prohibit fascism.
Since it's obvious Democrats intend to institute a fascist government, when do you think the Democrats will formally begin their rebellion against the government of the United States?
In other words, when will Obama begin to write his own laws and declare himself dictator?
You can answer that question after you reference any executive order that issued an edict to the people.
How does banning embryonic stem cell research fit into your definition? Does it mean that only members of the Executive Branch were banned from conducting such research?

Nearly 40 people were wounded in gun violence over one of Chicago's bloodiest weekends in recent months this weekend.

According to Fox Chicago, seven people were killed in shootings and one in a stabbing incident over the weekend in Chicago.

The fatal shooting victims range in age from 23 to 46. William Lee Martin, 30, died after being shot in the 4200 block of South Wells Street in Fuller Park around 6:20 p.m. Friday. Three other people were wounded in the same shooting which was followed, fifteen minutes later, with a separate shooting about two miles away -- in the 1100 block of West 51st Street -- where two 19-year-old men were critically wounded in an apparent drive-by shooting, according to DNAinfo.com Chicago.

Later on Friday, around 9:30 p.m., Aswell Selmon, 46, was fatally shot in front of his home and two others wounded critically during a shooting in the 5000 block of North Winthrop Avenue in the city's Uptown neighborhood, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Marlon L. Vaughn, 28, was stabbed in the chest in the city's Lawndale neighborhood around 12:25 a.m. Saturday and died shortly thereafter at an area hospital.

Fox Chicago has a rundown of additional fatal and non-fatal shootings in Chicago.

According to the RedEye homicide tracker's tally, Chicago is up to 485 homicides this year, as of early Sunday. Last Monday, on the heels of a holiday weekend that saw at least 24 shootings, two men were shot, one fatally, outside of a funeral for an alleged gang member. Later Monday evening, Porshe Foster, a 15-year-old girl, was fatally shot while standing with friends in a back yard during a sleepover.

Rate of Killings Rises 38 Percent in Chicago in 2012

CHICAGO ó Mayor Rahm Emanuelís first reading material each morning, at 5:30, is not a budget update, a legislative proposal or a packet of headlines. It is an e-mail from the Chicago Police Department listing the crimes that were committed during the night that just ended. By 7 a.m., he is calling Garry F. McCarthy, the police superintendent. That is unlikely to be their final conversation of the day, or even of the morning

Daniel Borris for The New York Times

A mural urges children in the area to resist gangs and drugs.

Mr. Emanuel listed safer streets among his top three priorities when he became mayor a year ago, but Chicago, the nationís third-largest city, is now testing that promise. Homicides are up by 38 percent from a year ago, and shootings have increased as well, even as killings have held steady or dropped in New York, Los Angeles and some other cities. As of June 17, 240 people had been killed here this year, mostly in shootings, 66 more deaths than occurred in the same period in 2011.

America Doesnít Have a Gun Problem, It Has a Gang Problem

Chicagoís murder numbers have hit that magic 500. Baltimoreís murder toll has passed 200. In Philly, itís up to 324, the highest since 2007. In Detroit, itís approaching 400, another record. In New Orleans, itís almost at 200. New York City is down to 414 from 508. In Los Angeles, itís over 500. In St. Louis itís 113 and 130 in Oakland. Itís 121 in Memphis and 76 in Birmingham.

Washington, D.C., home of the boys and girls who can solve it all, is nearing its own big 100.

Those 12 cities alone account for nearly 3,200 dead and nearly a quarter of all murders in the United States. And we havenít even visited sunny Atlanta or chilly Cleveland.

These cities are the heartland of Americaís real gun culture. It isnít the bitter gun-and-bible clingers in McCain and Romney territory who are racking up a more horrifying annual kill rate than Al Qaeda; itís Obamaís own voting base.

Chicago, where Obama delivered his victory speech, has homicide numbers that match all of Japan and are higher than Spain, Poland and pre-war Syria. If Chicago gets any worse, it will find itself passing the number of murders for the entire country of Canada.

Chicagoís murder rate of 15.65 per 100,000 people looks nothing like the American 4.2 rate, the Midwestern 4.5 or the Illinoisí 5.6 rates, but it does look like the murder rates in failed countries like Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe. To achieve Chicagoís murder rate, African countries usually have to experience a bloody genocidal civil war or decades of tyranny.

But Chicago isnít even all that unique. Or the worst case scenario. That would be New Orleans which at an incredible 72.8 murder rate is ten times higher than the national average. If New Orleans were a country, it would have the 2nd highest murder rate in the world, beating out El Salvador.

Louisiana went red for Romney 58 to 40, but Orleans Parish went blue for Obama 80 to 17.

St. Louis has a murder rate just a little lower than Belize. Baltimore has a worse murder rate than South Africa and Detroit has a worse murder rate than Colombia. Obama won both St. Louis and Baltimore by comfortable margins. He won Detroitís Wayne County 73 to 26.

Homicide rates like these show that something is broken, but it isnít broken among the Romney voters rushing to stock up on assault rifles every time Obama begins threatening their right to buy them; itís broken among Obamaís base.

Clauduis Jackson, 20, and Giovanni Martinez, 16, were both charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Keith Shaw, 22, after the pair allegedly killed him to fulfill a requirement for gang initiation, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Jackson and Martinez were walking with the Shaw when they led him into an alley. Thatís when the unsuspecting Shaw was allegedly faced with ambitious thugs with orders to follow.

The Chicago Tribune reports:

Jackson and Martinez, members of the Spanish Gangster Disciples street gang, were walking with Shaw, who was a rival, when they headed into an alley, prosecutors said.

Witnesses said Jackson pulled out a revolver and shot Shaw once, according to prosecutors. Shaw tried to flee and collapsed on a sidewalk, prosecutors said.

Jackson handed the gun to Martinez, who stood over the unarmed Shaw and fired, prosecutors said. Martinez shot a second time at close range, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said Jackson and Martinez were complying with orders from a high-ranking member of their gang to kill Shaw because he was a rival.

Martinez allegedly told others of his involvement and said Shaw pleaded for his life, prosecutors said.

ďKeith Shaw pleaded with him not to shoot and Keith Shaw said,ĎNah. Folks, donít do it, I love you,íĒ prosecutors said.

The recent spate of shootings in New York City are at best a statistical anomaly and at worst a disturbing new trend ó either way, it's terrifying. Eight more people were shot on Monday, leaving three dead, after a violent Fourth of July that saw at least a dozen people fall victim to gunfire; the week before, 60 people were shot. "It's true that this particular week of the Fourth of July traditionally has been a very high-crime shooting, murder week," Bloomberg said yesterday, repeating a claim he made over the weekend. "It's an outrage," he added. "I hope this week is just an aberration in the statistics, but we are working as hard as we can to stop it."

However you slice it, the numbers are up from last year: There have been 12 percent more shootings on the year so far, and murders are up to 21 from 18 at this point in 2011 ó a jump of almost 17 percent. But things are much worse in Chicago, where Mayor Rahm Emanuel is grappling with a homicide rate that's soared more than 30 percent.

As criticism builds over an array of horrifying recent incidents, including a 7-year-old girl shot while selling candy, Emanuel is begging for some compassion from the city's gangs. "We've got two gangbangers, one standing next to a kid. Get away from that kid. Take your stuff away to the alley. Don't touch the children of the city of Chicago. Don't get near them," he pleaded on CBS Evening News last night. "And it is about values. As I said then [when the 7-year-old girl was killed last month], who raised you? How were you raised? And I don't buy this case where people say they don't have values. They do have values. They have the wrong values. Don't come near the kids ó don't touch them."

PS: Fascism developed in the 20th century, most of the founders were dead by then.
The term "fascism" is a twentieth century term. However, the concept of fascism is as old as dictatorship. Fascism occurs when a dictator uses the concept of nationalism to command allegiance to himself, as opposed to using the concept of authority to command that allegiance.
When such people as Napoleon commanded that everyone who loved France must love him was instituting a fascist principle.

I'd like to read that executive order.
If the law stated money will be spent on stem cell research, then the president cannot issue an executive order that violates existing law.
If a law does not state specifically that money will be used for stem cell research, but within the agency that disburses the funds they fund stem cell research, then it is within the Constitutional authority of an executive order to restrict the general distribution of money.
That would have been very easy to rectify. An executive order cannot violate any law. So, all Congress needed to do was write a specific law funding stem cell research, and no executive order would have the authority to stop it.
That's the way it works in the government of the United States.

So, please reference the law that specifically funded stem cell research, and reference the executive order that violated that law.
Text from each would be helpful.
