I've corrected that lying scumbag a few times on that particular statement and he just keeps posting it. He's talking about the so called Easter Offensive in which First Air Cavalry ground and air assault units participated. The 3rd Brigades 7th Cav didn't leave Vietnam until Oct of 1972, well after Easter.<quoted text>
"Nixon - turned Vietnam over to the South Vietnamese who defeated the single largest communist invasion of the war in 1972 without any assistance from US ground combat units."
Ford in 1974?
It was the also the 7th Cav that was first to take on and defeat a large NVA force in Nov 1965 at the Ia Drang Valley in a battle nicknamed "fatal victory" and memorialized in "When We Were Soldiers" a reasonably accurate portrayal of the times.
