You have to understand, for "silly", the fact we have troops in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey is okay in as much as president nobama is cic. If a conservative was in charge, "silly" would be screaming about poor American kids doing the bidding of big business. "silly" is a hypocrite.

The basic things expected by our people of their political and economic systems are simple. They are:
Equality of opportunity for youth and for others.

January 6, 1941
Jobs for those who can work.
Security for those who need it.
The ending of special privilege for the few.
The preservation of civil liberties for all.
The enjoyment of the fruits of scientific progress in a wider and constantly rising standard of living.

These are the simple, the basic things that must never be lost sight of in the turmoil and unbelievable complexity of our modern world. The inner and abiding strength of our economic and political systems is dependent upon the degree to which they fulfill these expectations

Many subjects connected with our social economy call for immediate improvement. As examples: We should bring more citizens under the coverage of old-age pensions and unemployment insurance. We should widen the opportunities for adequate medical care. We should plan a better system by which persons deserving or needing gainful employment may obtain it."

Do you idiots really think as grimy as the republican party is, they haven't already vetted the 1st acknowledged black president? I can't think of the black actors name, but he already acknowledged the fact that he went to college with the president. He's an actor on CSI. All that aside, why the hell do ya'll feel thee need to pry your noses in that mans private business for? Just know this, he's 10 times smarter than that dumass ya'll voted in on 2 terms George Bush!

No, I'm not wrong. You said we should eliminate "every federal department and function" not specifically authorized. The entities and departments I mentioned are not specifically authorized.
If the government was limited to the enumerated powers specified in Article I, Section 8, the budget would show a huge surplus. These enumerated powers cover only those functions performed by the Departments of State, Defense, Treasury, and Justice.

If it makes you feel any better, we can dissolve the USMC and USAF and return them to their former homes in the USN and USA.

The war in Iraq should have ended as soon as we verified the absence of WMDs.

Should the taxpayers reimburse everybody whose home burns down, everybody whose car is stolen, and everybody robbed on the street?

The rationale that bad outcomes are compensated only for large events makes no logical sense.

I agree. That's why I think he should join the party he actually belongs to. Boehner is a Democrat. You'd know that if you actually follow events in Congress.
If you were paying any attention, he and Nancy Pelosi cut a deal for him to force the 112th Congress to vote him in as Speaker for the 113th Congress, which he did in mid-November. That got shoved up his ass yesterday. He barely kept enough votes to keep his position as Speaker.
It's obvious to everyone Boehner is a Democrat. It became obvious the first time the debt ceiling had to be raised, and he forced it through without any spending cuts.
And, what just happened?
Well, where's the money going to come from to pay for Obama's government?
"DBWriter"
"real dumb" doesn't give a ratsass where the money comes from. He just wants his freebees and he wants the hard working American's who work and produce to provide those freebees. He is one of the 47% who pay no Federal Income taxes. "BUT", "real dumb" and he is a "BUTT" will continue to dance, dodge and lie. He could care less where the monies come from as long as he is taken care of.

Then you should have no problem with the federal government, since, by your own admission, welfare payments, federal regulations, taxes, etc. do not come from the federal government. So your beef is with individual taxpayers.
The federal government confiscates the money from the taxpayers.

PS: Thank the good Lord, president nobama can not be elected again. Maybe there is hope.
But will there be a United States of America that is recognizable AFTER Obama?

Obama’s ultimate ambition is to break the nation’s 30-year thrall of low taxes — so powerful that those who defied the Reaganite norm paid heavily for it. Walter Mondale’s acceptance speech at the 1984 convention promising to raise taxes ended his campaign before it began. President George H.W. Bush’s no-new-taxes reversal cost him a second term.

On this, too, Obama is succeeding. He not only got his tax increase passed. He did it with public opinion behind him.

Why are higher taxes so important to him?

First, as a means: A high-tax economy is liberalism’s only hope for sustaining and enlarging the entitlement state. It provides the funds for enlightened adventures in everything from algae to Obamacare.(Failing socialist state, here we come.)

Second, as an end in itself. Fundamentally, Obama is a leveler. The community organizer seeks, above all, to reverse the growing inequality that he dates and attributes to ruthless Reaganism. Now, however, clothed in the immense powers of the presidency, he can actually engage in unadorned redistributionism. As in Tuesday night’s $620 billion wealth transfer.

Upon losing the House in 2010, the leveler took cover for the next two years. He wasn’t going to advance his real agenda through the Republican House anyway, and he needed to win reelection.

Now he’s won. The old Obama is back. He must not be underestimated. He has deftly leveraged his class-war-themed election victory

(a) to secure a source of funding (albeit still small) for the bloated welfare state,

(b) to carry out an admirably candid bit of income redistribution and

(c) to fracture the one remaining institutional obstacle to the rest of his ideological agenda.

Not bad for two months’ work.

The forces will augment Turkey's air defence capabilities and contribute to the de-escalation of the crisis along the Alliance's border," Eucom said in a statement.
"The deployment will be defensive only and will not support a no-fly zone or any offensive operation," it added.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says more than 44,000 people have been killed since the uprising began nearly two years ago, including nearly 31,000 civilians
The UN believes up to four million people inside Syria are soon going to need humanitarian aid, up from 2.5 million. Another 500,000 Syrians have also fled to neighbouring countries.

Without the "rebel uprising" there would be no deaths (of this magnitude) in Syria.
