Can This Party Be Saved?

We Republicans cherish the free market. So now might be the right time to start listening to it. Our party has lost the popular vote in five of the past six presidential elections. That is 20 years of “no, thanks” from the American people. Only basketball’s Washington Generals, who are paid to lose to the Harlem Globetrotters, can exceed that losing record, and by only four years (1971–95).

The worst error politicians can make is to spin themselves. It’s time for the GOP to face the hard truth, no matter how painful. The Republican brand is dying, many of our strategists are incompetent, and we still design campaigns to prevail in the America of 25 years ago.

I'll bet on it. Carol's mood swings are directly related to her blood sugar level.
When it's low, she's mean as a junkyard dog, blaming Obama for everything.
When it's normal, she's Christian Carol, telling all how she blames both sides for the problems.
When her blood sugar is high, she goes off on her 'history lessons'!!LOL
It is much like being bipolar. She may be that, also.

You can ask this statement 'Is it OK if I drop expensive earthquake insurance on the assumption that the taxpayers will repair the damage in the event of an earthquake?'

Dan Issa didn't have a problem with pork when he requested it to make improvements in his district that benefited properties he owned.

Funny how you nitwits defended the Patriot Act when Bush passed it!! LOL
Sleazy Ed said 'if you haven't done anything wrong, you've nothing to fear from the Patriot Act'.
Looks like Ed had no problem with it. I remember many of the nitwits saying the same thing.
But now that Obama's President, you're all against Bush's signature act as a Dictator!!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Better read up on John Yoo, Bush's legal expert, who wrote much of Bush's Constitution busting PAtriot Act.
AKA John Choon Yoo
Born: 10-Jun-1967
Birthplace: Seoul, South Korea
Gender: Male
Race or Ethnicity: Asian
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Government
Party Affiliation: Republican
Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Thinks Geneva Conventions are obsolete
Former clerk for Laurence H. Silberman at the Court of Appeals, and later for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas 1994-95. Served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel at the DOJ 2001-03, where he wrote substantial parts of the PATRIOT act with Viet Dinh, and co-authored a report that spat on the Geneva Conventions.
The forty-two page memo in question, which he authored in January 2002, stipulated that since Afghanistan has no formal government to speak of, neither the Geneva Convention nor any other laws of war apply. This breaks a fifty-year U.S. military tradition of upholding those rules, rules that the U.S. adopted because the same rules protect captured American soldiers. When the U.S. state department read Yoo's memo, they were "horrified"; their chief legal advisor calling it "seriously flawed." But George W. Bush approved the policies in the memo, ultimately resulting in the Abu Ghraib fiasco and similar atrocities being committed in other Iraqi prisons as well as those in Afghanistan.
According to a 2010 report from the Justice Department's Office of Professional Responsibility, investigators asked Yoo whether he maintained that the President's authority is broad enough that he could hypothetically "order a village of civilians to be exterminated", to which Yoo responded, "Sure." Among his other zingers are quotes like "There is no constitutional right to privacy of records not in your possession" (said at a University of Virginia conference) and another on the PATRIOT Act, "It seems to me a very modest bill. There is no revolutionary change."
Other related memos discuss how to avoid prosecution of War Crimes that are expected to be committed by Americans following these policies, though it is not clear whether Yoo had a hand in authoring those.
Yoo occasionally appears on news programs such as Lehrer News Hour as a talking head (at least one time with Scott Horton as foil), largely defending Bush administration policies. With all these wonderful ideas coming out of his head Yoo still feels he has enough credibility to author a book on Constitutional law. He remains a tenured law professor at the University of California at Berkeley.

Fact is, nothing is unConstitutional until th eSupreme Court rules so.
Too bad you don't understand the Constitution or the Patriot Act.
But stay ignorant, that will ensure your supporting losers like Rmoney and McLame!!
I never liked the Patriot Act, dufus. However, I thought it was somewhat necessary to be able to monitor international phone calls between terrorists considering the fact that it was a liberal Democrat judge that prevented the FBI from being able to look on Moussaoui's hard drive and read the Al Qaeda 9/11(2001) plan in detail before the attack. So, it's your fault there was a war at all, dufus.

Now, back to the issue:

Where are you going to get the money from to pay for Obama's government?

OBama 65,367,939 51% 332 electoral votes

Rmoney 60,707,106 47% 206 electoral votes

Margin of victory over 4.6 million votes!!

Considering Busj lost to Gore by 500,000 votes in 2000, yes, it was a very solid victory.
