I agree The Republican Party is divided.
I don't think cutting The Defense Budget is wise.
There are a lot of programs and entitlements that should be cut.
They are either excessive in spending on what is more than sufficient or frivilous programs that are failures right out of the gate, also repeatedly proven to be so.
The Republicans want to cut too many necessary and needed services to many who are legitimately in need of help and assistance.
The Democrats want to keep spending money we DON'T have on too many unnecessary and superfluous programs and services.
And ALL Americans should be concerned about how their tax dollars are being spent OR squandered.
And IMO, The Government actually KNOWS very little regarding Economics and Managing other peoples' money, OURS!
Yet Democrats want to hand over MORE! when they haven't even proven they can wisely manage what they already pillaged from our pockets!!

Name these "frivolous programs" that need to be cut before we stop funding the defense of places like Germany, Japan, S. Korea, Israel, and Taiwan. I can truly understand why you'd rather send a soldier to Seoul than buy textbooks or feed a hungry child but I want to hear it from you.

In a hotel outside of Vera Cruz for a couple of months. They gave us cereal for breakfast and the milk was always warm. It was good but I wondered why it was warm, must be a Mexican thing. Until I was up earlier than usual and one of the kitchen gals came from across the street with two pails of milk.

Yup, fresh milk is excellent.

Charles Krauthammer: Obama Showing 'Great Skill, Ruthless Skill' In Fiscal Cliff Talks

""Columnist and Fox News pundit Charles Krauthammer said Thursday that he thinks President Obama has been acting with "great skill" in the negotiations over the so-called "fiscal cliff."

Talks have continually stalled as the GOP and the Obama administration struggle to produce a deal about how much to raise taxes or cut spending. On Friday, the president summoned Congressional leaders to the White House for one more attempt at an accord.

Krauthammer told Hannity that Obama had been able to create a "civil war" over taxes within the GOP. Several high-profile Republicans have said that the party should concede to raising taxes on people making over $250,000.

"He's been using this -- and I must say with great skill, and ruthless skill, and success -- to fracture and basically shatter the Republican opposition," he said. "The only redoubt of the opposition is the House. And his objective from the very beginning was to break the will of the Republicans in the House, and to create an internal civil war, and he's done that. How did he do it? By always insisting from day one after the election that Republicans had to raise rates ... he did that because he knew it would create a crisis among Republicans, and it did.""

----------

Dr. Krauthammer pretty much destroyed your ignorant view of things.

He's whipping the clown's butts, and you're dumb enough to say he'sscared??

So why are the Republiclowns trembling before him??

BTW, the Healthcare plan was drawn up in Congress, with almost no input from Obama. But then, you're already proven you don't know shit.

And which 'isle' should he reach across, numbnuts??

You've got it bass ackwards, but then you're a Teabagger. They lost your side the election!!

Now that you've made a complete fool of yourself, go away.

I don't suffer fools gladly. And you're quite a fool.

Here's the Original Post: In response to DUPONT stating Obama has tried to work with The Republicans. Note: Limbaugh was just an amplified/highlighted example WITHIN the premise of the post to point out how petulant, childish his pubescent school yard display and response when confronted with an adversary, ANYone who opposes him/his policies, his "anything" response.

"When did Obama try this?
When he spent 2 years drafting HIS Health Care Plan and cut the Republicans and their input totally out of the process?
When he stated The Republicans can come along but they have to ride in the back of the bus?
When he spent his whole presidency villianizing Republicans?
When he's continued to blame Republicans, STILL blaming President Bush for his repeated and continued failures?
When his minions, from The Labor Unions to his Eric Holder have done nothing but demonized Republicans?
He hasn't tried jack shyte regarding reaching across the isle of partisanship to work with Republicans.
He's so scared sightless of Rush Limbaugh ...
That's why there's a Topix thread that bears the title:
"Barack Obama to GOP Dump Rush Limbaugh".
He's just a little man who fears and perceive all who oppose him as his enemy to be silenced.
HA! He's just a scared sissy a$$.

SO THE FIRST JEW TRIES IT AND COMES BACK LOOKING FOR HIS FRIEND THE NEXT DAY.

CHAIM LOOKS AT HIM DISGUSTEDLY AND SAYS, "NO, NO, I MEANT PAPER MONEY."

Yes, just as the MAJORITY of American voters did.

Funny to see a shrinking, rejected Party of nitwits accusing the winners of incompetence.

Last I looked, the Dictionary had Rmoney's picture neat to the word 'incompetent'.

New York City should be forced to install safety gates on their obviously unsafe subway platforms to prevent riders from being pushed or from jumping onto the tracks. Bloomberg should be sued, personally, for each subway death.
Come to think of it, this day and age demands such a setup. Those platforms are open invitations to wackos, jealous wives and copycat killers.

On Jan 1, New Yorkers should pass around thousands of Michael Bloomberg Dummies and perform a city-wide Flash Mob event. On the mark, all of those Michael Bloomberg Dummies should be pushed from subway platforms. They should be filled with Sidewalk Sausage, too, Pinata-Style.

Agree we need to cut all of the funding in defense for Nations you stated. Programs?

-The Solyndra Failure a'ringin' a bell?
*The closed facilities of Solyndra LLC, the solar-panel manufacturer that went bankrupt after receiving a $535 million federal government funding.

-Research Projects leading no where or to no avail, such as
"How to Lower Carbon Emissions from Cows" !... Just for starters. So many to name. And most if not all have already been.

But cutting Defense for Our Military would not be my first choice.
Nor should it be THIS Administrations.
