Those who wanted an entitlement president got what they wanted. But at what price?
At this point, Boehner and the GOP MUST - absolutely MUST - let Obama own this cliff - lock, stock and barrel.
They are making Obama look like the hero in this bizarre melodrama we're watching unfold in total disbelief. He is now cutting his vacation short to come back and save the day.
Give the darn cliff to him. He's wants it but wants to blame them. Why don't they just give it to him? Let him own it and wear it like a tattoo on his forehead.
Give Obama the tax hikes, the recession, the exploding deficit - all of it - for friggin' cryin' out loud!

Not likely, but if so his successor will be more conservative and less likely to make a deal with Obama.

It's unimaginable the number of homeless and hungry people roaming around after January 1 because of no jobs and expired unemployment benefits.
Especially when even less jobs are on the horizon.
It's unimaginable that Americans let this happen. Voting for this president not once - but twice.
Since when do you give a rats ass about unemployment benefits? I thought they were all lazy bums who not want to work? Let the charities and churches help them, or they can get a job, the government is not their nanny.

If you think illicit drug trade is nothing but the few street level dealers; then you are clueless. Remember Wells Fargo? Laundering billions in drug money? What happened? A slap on the wrist and a fine. You can probably not even fathom how huge this really is, globally.
I say, tax them. Same with the money laundering churches ; like the Calvary Chapel., a front for organized crime and drug money.
You think the only people who take drugs are those junkies on the street? HA! Wake up. This can only go on with cooperation from everyone. The small guys go to jail, the big guys are sailing the world in custom built yachts and flying their own jets, with enough cash to pay everyone off.

Fine, as soon as unions are taxed on their dues income, which is nothing more than a money laundering operation for the Democrat Party.

Most churches lack sufficient income to pay staff and heat the building.

I think that the vast majority of people who are able to function in society do not use illegal drugs.

The Treasury Department announced Wednesday that the nation would hit the debt limit on Dec. 31, and would then have to take “extraordinary measures” to avoid exhausting the government’s borrowing limit in the New Year.

Obama is a lame duck, particularly after 2014.
Dick Morris' Terrible 2012

In May, O'Reilly Factor host Bill O'Reilly told Fox News political analyst Dick Morris that because he was "so far out on the limb" predicting a Romney win in the presidential election, if Obama were to be re-elected Morris would be "through" and "selling refrigerators in Topeka." Seven months later, following Obama's comfortable re-election, Morris isn't selling appliances in Kansas (that we know of), but he's the laughingstock of the political pundit class and has temporarily been benched at Fox News.

Like most other years of Morris' media career, 2012 was marked by terribly inaccurate election predictions, habitual dishonesty, and questionable ethical conflicts. Unlike most other years, however, Morris appears to actually be facing consequences and backlash for his role as America's Worst Political Pundit.

Talk to the Boy Messiah and his boy Eric Holder about guns getting into the hands of the wrong people. Mexico? Chicago? LA? Detroit?
Can't keep illegals out. Can't keep drugs out. But you and your handlers want us to believe you can keep illegal weapons out, eh?
Your PR skills are not just lacking but MIA.
Neither Obama or Holder are "boys" you racist POS. Those guns were going down to Mexico because Bush and the GOP didn't reinstate the assault weapons ban and states like Arizona allow virtually unlimited purchases of these weapons.

Well, if you ask Joe BiteMe, he'll tell you that for every government job created, that job costs the economy two jobs lost.
You wouldn't be calling Joe Biden fullofshit, would you?
If you compare your so-called "analysis" with the increase in percentage of the economy occupied by the government, you'll discover that Joe BiteMe is correct. And, considering that the government is actually counted as part of the economy instead of treating it as what it is, an expense, the real-world numbers are even worse. I calculate about 1.5 jobs in the real-world economy lost for every government job created.(A job with a government contractor IS a government job, and we know what the definition of "is" is.) Because the government counts the government as an asset to the economy instead of what it actually is, an expense, then Joe BiteMe's assessment of a government job costing the real economy two jobs is reasonable.
In short, your party's Vice President stated that for every government job gotten rid of equates to two jobs created in the real economy.
So, what's the plan to create jobs in the economy? More government jobs?
Do you people ever listen to yourselves?
Do you have any actual facts or data to back up your "calculations"? Of course you don't you're just pulling it out of your anal orifice like you do in all of your posts.

What the frick does it matter if they come to an agreement or not or even if they come up with the best frikkin' plan and agreement known to man?
The Democrat Senate won't take it up for a vote. Even if they did, it wouldn't pass. Even if it did, Obama wouldn't sign it.
The Republicans are being played like a fiddle and are willingly becoming the scapegoats for the real culprits of this mess.
They need to get out of the way once and for all. It doesn't matter what they do - or do not do - at this point. They are only playing into a scheme designed by the democrats.
You explain how it's a scheme when the president ran on everything he's fighting for? The republicans were blinded by all the b/s romney predictions that they really didn't run on anything. Remember romney/ryan plan of empty pages? Basically promising prosperity with no map of how to get there. Now republicans have backed themselves into a corner & they want too much control when they no longer hold an ounce of leverage. They're playing the roll of spoiler for one reason & one reason only. They don't want to prove the president was right all along. If they do, they will prove what money hungry, power coveting, hypocrites they really are. That they're the real reason the economy hadn't recovered yet fully & it by all means implies they're still out of touch & in denial about the changing of americas demographics , so their plan is to continue more of the same. Problem is thats only going to work for but so long before they begin to turn their own constituents against them . Their job is the will of the people meaning (majority). As of right now they are nothing more than obstructionist likes a kid that didnt get picked & now won't get off the court so everyone else can play. SORE LOSERS!
