Earl Warren emphasising individual rights? Give me a goddam break. Among other fascist things, Warren was responsible for the Japanese internment camps and stealing everything they owned after they were interned.... not to mention the Warren Commission which a 6th grader can take apart.
Can you tell us why Congress overwhelmingly rejected the Warren Commission report when it was submitted? And, can you tell us why that very same report was unanimously accepted without by the same institution 20 years later without any changes? Obviously, something changed, and it wasn't the report.
All of our social problems: more murders than the number killed in a full scale war, and drugs in every school in the country, stagnant welfare states in every city, urban blight, exploding crime rates, etc., etc., etc. are all the result of your so-called "progressive" influence.

Most Americans will get very angry if you start coming after their government checks.

Today there are more than 44 million Americans on food stamps. Many that go on food stamps stay on them forever. In fact, the truth is that most Americans will stay on social welfare programs as long as they can.

Not that many of these programs aren’t necessary. We have an economy that does not produce enough jobs for everyone and that is pushing more American families below the poverty line every single day. The average American family is being absolutely shredded by this economy.

But when you organize a society in such a way that a majority can vote for the wealth of the minority to be transferred into their pockets you are asking for trouble.

If you raise taxes on the rich and give more handouts to the poor is that going to provide them with jobs? No.

If you raise taxes on the rich and give more handouts to the poor is that going to give them dignity? No.

If you raise taxes on the rich and give more handouts to the poor is that going to create more businesses and spur more economic activity? No.

Yes, we always need to help the poor and those that cannot help themselves. However, what we have created is an “entitlement society” where the majority of Americans now receive direct payments of money from the government.

As millions more Americans climb aboard the “safety net” each year, it is eventually going to get to the point where all of this government welfare is going to destroy this nation financially.

But our politicians love the current tax system. Why?

It gives them the ability to exert tremendous social control over the rest of us.

Conservative Confusion

Only a major intellectual or moral flaw in American conservatism could have made so many susceptible to the neo-Jacobin bug. Many who caught it were myopically preoccupied with practical politics and Republican partisanship. They lacked historical perspective and philosophical discernment. Others dimly recognized what was happening but went along to reap financial rewards and advance careers. They concealed almost from themselves that they had become hired guns advocating the positions expected of them. Both groups made alliances that will prove compromising. Historians will wonder how so many could have been so easily swayed and manipulated.

Today the utopianism, recklessness, cynicism and sheer incompetence of the neo-Jacobins are becoming obvious. Many of their fellow-travelers are trying to save what remains of their reputations by jumping ship. Intellectually challenged supernationalists just raise their voices and call critics unpatriotic. As for the neo-Jacobins themselves, they are blameless. It is those who implemented their policies who should be blamed. They didn’t do it right.

The neo-Jacobin virus should have been flushed out long ago.

Wrong! The Constitution is a living, breathing document that was designed to be updated according to the conditions of the times. The right to keep and bear arms was appropriate before we had a standing army and law enforcement, when most Americans were a member of a well regulated militia. The amendment is obsolete now and hopefully will be repealed during President Obama's second term.

and it begins.....

Two Democratic senators with top National Rifle Association ratings on Monday started what must be a groundswell for lifesaving gun controls.

Change must echo through the halls of Congress. Not next week, not next month. Now.
As Newtowns families begin the nightmarish task of burying their sons and daughters, give credit to gun-rights stalwarts Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Mark Warner of Virginia for finally entertaining the possibility of limiting virtually unfettered access to assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.

And heap shame upon the dozens of others who remain under the spell of the firearms lobby, which time and again has shrugged off mass murder as someone elses business.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the right to bear arms is protected by the Constitution, but what type of weapon and where and how it can (and can't) be used and owned can be regulated. Where do we start? We get the assault weapon ban that sunsetted during the Bush era reinstated. We stop permitting the sale of extended magazines that permit these monsters to fire hundreds of rounds of death just as fast as they can pull a trigger. We unify background checks throughout the nation, and we close the gun-show loophole that permits unlicensed sellers to peddle their wares without so much as showing a driver's license in some states. All of these are just common sense. None of these laws impedes the right of a safe and legal gun owner.

The NRA and the gun lobby are at the core of most of this bloodshed. Not the rank and file. I've spoken to many, many NRA members who share my views on safe and sensible gun laws. It's the gun lobby hierarchy that crafts and distorts the message and conversation to make it all about America, the Constitution and whatever other drivel they can make up to keep their coffers and political influence fat and their paranoid and fear-driven propaganda flying. They are insidiously evil entities that make the tobacco lobby look like the Make-A-Wish campaign by contrast.

The National Rifle Association tells elected officials that if they support any kind of restriction on guns, they are doomed to defeat at the polls, and many of them believe it. The truth, however, is that not only does the N.R.A. have virtually no effect on elections, the public is quite open to any number of sensible restrictions on guns.

This year, the N.R.A. spent over $13 million in a failed attempt to defeat President Obama. In the Senate, the group spent over $100,000 in eight races trying to elect their favored candidates. Seven of the eight lost, most by comfortable margins. That pattern is repeated in election after election.

A fair question to ask gun-control advocates:Why do you not have a sign in front of your home that says "This is a gun free zone"?
These type signs are placarded on school grounds, churches and auditoriums and movie theaters and even some bars in Michigan as in many other right -to-carry states.
I see the White House is saying the gun debate is complex... it sure is. Let's use the brains God gave us and do the right things.
The mental health debate is complex but needs to get ramped up.
The slide into the gutter transforming our society backwards is less complex but is having a huge impact on the quality of American life.

Obama Supplies Assault Weapons to Violent Drug Cartel

Washington High-powered assault weapons illegally purchased under the ATFs Fast and Furious program in Phoenix ended up in a home belonging to the purported top Sinaloa cartel enforcer in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, whose organization was terrorizing that city with the worst violence in the Mexican drug wars.

In all, 100 assault weapons acquired under Fast and Furious were transported 350 miles from Phoenix to El Paso, making that West Texas city a central hub for gun traffickers. Forty of the weapons made it across the border and into the arsenal of Jose Antonio Torres Marrufo, a feared cartel leader in Ciudad Juarez, according to federal court records and trace documents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The smugglers tactics quickly moving the weapons far from ATF agents in southern Arizona, where it had been assumed they would circulate vividly demonstrate that what had been viewed as a local problem was much larger. Six other Fast and Furious guns destined for El Paso were recovered in Columbus, N.M.

These Fast and Furious guns were going to Sinaloans, and they are killing everyone down there, said one knowledgeable U.S. government source, who asked for anonymity because of the ongoing investigations. But thats only how many we know came through Texas. Hundreds more had to get through.

Torres Marrufo, also known as the Jaguar, has been identified by U.S. authorities as the enforcer for Sinaloa cartel chieftain Joaquin Chapo Guzman. The Fast and Furious weapons were found at one of Torres Marrufos homes April 30 when Mexican police inspected the property. It was unoccupied but showed signs of recent activity, they said.

It's easy to spot liberal crap. Anytime they spew about gun control, they tend to bring up the term "assault weapon".

What the hell is an "assault weapon"? I know a good deal about guns, but "assault weapon" means nothing. To a liberal, it means "a scary looking gun". Which is why the "assault weapon" ban that expired years ago is not around-- it couldn't be enforced because there is no definition for "assault weapon".

But that's the Liberal Way. Pass laws that make people feel better and less afraid, even if they are pointless. Like having every airline passenger take off his shoes at the airport.

Bought some Sudafed over the weekend, my wife has a cold. Since liberal kids are cooking so much meth these days, a customer can't buy Sudafed without going to the pharmacy and having their driver's license scanned. The last thing you have to do before they give you the decongestant is sign a statement that says "I promise ONLY to use this product to stop my sniffles".

Like if I WAS going to cook meth with it I wouldn't sign that form.

Ah, liberal influence is everywhere.

You might think that President Obamas comfortable reelection last month would put an end to the Republican birther conspiracy. But if you do, you dont know Arizona Republicans.

The latest battle for the movement that believes Barack Obama is ineligible to be President was fought Monday at the states Electoral College vote, where a trio of Republican electors including state GOP chair Tom Morrissey once again raised concerns that Obamas birth certificate is a fake during the electoral college vote.

They were rebuffed by other Republicans in the room, including Gov. Jan Brewer. National Republicans have also distanced themselves from the birther movement. But in Arizona, the birthers arent going quietly, even if they do recognize that they are going.
