Horse doovers!!
The problem is violence in our society. Look at some of the comments here. You've got people calling for more guns to fend off other guns.
Next they'll call for arming children for them to self protect!!
Guns don't kill people.
People with guns kill people.
So long as we have people who believe you need a gun to protect yourself, we'll have mass killings. How better to protect yourself than going on offense and killing those you feel wronged you??
After all, these guns were registered to his mother. How good did they protect her??
That's what these nitwits don't understand. They have no idea how easy it is for someone to get ahold of their guns.
Example: they think they are always in control of their weapons. That's only true for the wheelchair bound shut-ins like Nobraina.
Those who work, or leave the house to go for dinnr, shopping, etc., leave their guns at home, ready to be taken. They may carry one with them, but I doubt any of these types own only one gun.
This insane belief that the ony way to avoid gun violence is to arm the population is the cause for this.
It is the stupidest form of illogical thought I've seen.
It's like the Zimmermn story. A coward who made himself feel brave by becoming an unauthorized block watch idiot. Then he followed Trayvon and got into a fight, he wasn't man enough to take a beating, he had to pull a gun.
That's the natue of these nitwits. Just look at the comments from Fenris the Coward or Romey-Ryan2012 to see how sick the right wingnuts are.
You really ARE a mindless, dcksckg phag. Have you ever heard of a gun safe (especially with a video game addicted, goth retard running around the house)? Kill yourself quickly for the good of humanity.

Well, guess what??

The 'fringe minority' has controlled the conversation for decades.

To the point where no politician is willing to challenge them, in spite of the USA having the highest death rate by guns of any developed nation, and greater than most any nation not involved in a war.

Even after Reagans shooring, when he tried to pass common-sense gun laws, the NRA and the entire Libertarian sector fought him.

Charges upgraded to first degree murder in shooting of Florida teen
A grand jury indicted a Florida man for first degree murder on Thursday in the shooting death of an unarmed, black high school student last month after an argument over loud rap music.
Software developer Michael Dunn, 46, shot high school junior Jordan Davis, 17, through the window of a sport utility vehicle at a Jacksonville convenience store gas station on November 23, before driving away, authorities say.
Dunn, who is white, faces charges of attempted first degree murder for firing at the car which contained three other passengers, all friends of Davis.
Dunn was arrested the day after the shooting for second degree murder and pleaded not guilty. He was being held in Duval County without bond awaiting arraignment.
The state attorney's office later decided to upgrade the charge to first degree murder, which in Florida requires a grand jury decision.
Dunn's arraignment on the new charges is scheduled for December 17.
Davis's father, Ron Davis, has pledged to turn his son's shooting death into a crusade against guns and Florida's controversial Stand Your Ground law which allows people to defend themselves if they "reasonably believe" someone will hurt them.

If convicted of 1st degree murder, he should be sentenced to death (and his sentence carried out).

Now, lets see you match that statement for the ALL of the scumbags (mostly anglo) sitting on death row. No? Pusceee.........:

You don't know that. There have been limited comments about this boy,
autistic and personality disorder being two of them. The guns belonged to his mother who it has been reported was a gun collector. He grew up in an affluent community with caring educated parents. It has been reported that he was highly intelligent, honor roll student but a sort of geek and a loner.
There are many kids just like him out there; this is a horrible nightmare that there are no easy answers for. If she didn't have those guns, would he have been able to accomplish this on his own? Maybe yes; maybe no. Nevertheless an entire town and 28 families are destroyed, just before Christmas. What a horror.
I guarantee he was on some sort of mind altering meds. They always are.

Unless we are ready to be a nation of vegetarians, "reasonable" hunting weapons should not be banned. It is no more ethically defensible to let someone kill an animal for us than killing the animal ourselves. There are legitimate arguments on both sides regarding the humanity in the way in which the animal is killed but that's a debate for another time.
That being said, the weapon may be a bow, guns aren't necessary to hunt.
And, the argument regarding the 2nd Amendment provision to arm a militia to protect us from our government is moot. We might as well use rocks against the weapons that the government arsenal has in it.
I'd be much happier in a world without guns, ban them all.

Who said the word "teacher", dckscker? I said "qualified staff member". We have armed security guards at malls, sporting events, airports, and literally everywhere else. What scares you about schools (other than it will severely inhibit your predatory hunting of young boys)?

Let's wait a bit and then ask the parents if they wish an armed & qualified security person had been at the school. It might not have helped, but then it certainly would have at Virginia Tech. You are just too much of a puscee to even carry on a logical conversation with (but at least you didnt have any rudmentary spelling errors in your last post)...

In a separate but related issue, four people were executed in Los Angeles last week by a convicted felon with a long criminal history who had been released from prison because of overcrowding.

If you wanted my opinion.
You're obviously speaking of the political correctness of the right, which has allowed the NRA to dictate American laws, resulting in the deaths of untold thousands of Americans.

Here's the type of political correctness you support:

"Gun-related death rates in the United States are eight times higher than they are in countries that are economically and politically similar to it. Higher rates can be found in developing countries and those with political instability"

In spite of what morons like Huckabee say, it's gun nuts on the right that have paved the way for these young white men turning into mass killers.

And you're stupid enough to keep beating dead horses, even after you've been proven wrong, time and again.

" The New American magazine reminds us that March 25th marked the 16th anniversary of Kennesaw, Georgia's ordinance requiring heads of households (with certain exceptions) to keep at least one firearm in their homes.

The city's population grew from around 5,000 in 1980 to 13,000 by 1996 (latest available estimate). Yet there have been only three murders: two with knives (1984 and 1987) and one with a firearm (1997). After the law went into effect in 1982, crime against persons plummeted 74 percent compared to 1981, and fell another 45 percent in 1983 compared to 1982.

And it has stayed impressively low. In addition to nearly non-existent homicide (murders have averaged a mere 0.19 per year), the annual number of armed robberies, residential burglaries, commercial burglaries, and rapes have averaged, respectively, 1.69, 31.63, 19.75, and 2.00 through 1998.

With all the attention that has been heaped upon the lawful possession of firearms lately, you would think that a city that requires gun ownership would be the center of a media feeding frenzy. It isn't. The fact is I can't remember a major media outlet even mentioning Kennesaw. Can you?

The reason is obvious. Kennesaw proves that the presence of firearms actually improves safety and security."
