Isn't ironic--since the " Right to Work" bills have already essentially PROVED, in FACT, that hihger EMPLOYMENT rates abound in such states, actually coincides (rather than deters) from the "share the wealth" the RIGHT way --for a change!!
MORE JOBS for EVERYONE!!!! Which state will be next?
Way to GO AMERICAN working class!!!!! MORE ability to EARN via JOBS for EVERYONE (for those who don't mind actually EARNING via working anyway) again!!
Not being able (ignorant?) to identify HOW easy it is to be successful in this country is beyond me...

<quoted text> I'll be completely honest and say I'm very weary when it comes to hireing a black guy.over the last years I employed several. One was fired on his first day for stealing from the customer . One went missing with one of my trucks only to be found in jersey city 4 days later at a crack house, I got the truck back but lost over 3k in equipment. One was stealing from the other employes and one stole from my home.I have hired others but mostly as labor that has constant supervision. I never once had that kind of problems with whites I have employed. You may call it unfair or even racist , I call it once bitten twice shy.
Maybe you should hire one to teach you grammar and spell check.
The only thing you've ever hired is a hooker.

The point is that there should not be any such thing as a union shop.
Twenty-four states now prohibit union shops. That's what "right-to-work" is all about.
Except for those like you who oppose individual choice.
If you think anyone, any entity, or any government is 'forcing' you to choose an occupation in this country, good sir, you are basically saying YOU oppose individual choice.

You're hilarious.

By law, union membership is NEVER required. Agency shop requires nonmembers to pay fees to cover the costs of the union's collective bargaining activities. Agency shop fee payers may request a refund of "any part of their agency shop fee which represents the employee's share of expenditures in aid of activities or causes of a political or ideological nature only incidentally related to terms and conditions of employment."
What does "By law" mean to you, Mr. Foreskin?

If a union goes on strike demanding that the company should never hire non-union labor and, if the company concedes to that demand, it is incorporated into a contract - a legally binding contract. Contracts are recognized by the courts.

This recognized and fulfilled demand is then commonly referred to as "Closed Shop", i.e., a workplace closed to non-union labor.

Along comes you to announce that, "by law", union membership is never required. Never required? It damned well IS required if you want to work there! It becomes a stipulated work requiremnt.

Non-union workers are called "scabs" by unionized workers - scabs are what forms over wounds - and if a scab crosses a picket line they are most often brutalized and vandalized badly by union members(thugs).

When was the last time you read of union brutality being brought to justice? Good luck finding an instance.

Jimmy Hoffa and his shadow mafioso, anyone? Broken kneecaps? Cement Shoes? Skimming of union dues?

I understand well the need for labor to organize. Corporations are loaded with jerks in power positions. Problem is, so are unions. Therein lies the rub. The common man/woman is caught between abusive capitalism and Socialist Organized Crime.

RTW tries to level the power balance between two evils so that the individual can still exercise their legal rights without getting screwed or killed by either one. The typical union member has no means of affecting the political power of the either corporation or the corrupt Socialist Union leadership. Unions are all Socialist and corporations are either Conservative or neutrally corrupt playing either side to their benefit. Look at what Google, Microsoft and Hollywood have done. The Socialist/Democratic Party funds a large percentage of the DNC and The Socialist Party of America. Where does the *thinking* worker fit into all of this? They are flotsam on the surface a whitewater river.

RTW is an attempt to assert the *thinking* worker's rights into this sociopolitical mayhem.

Incorrect.
Agency shop and union shop (or closed shop) are two different arrangements.
Furthermore, many construction jobs require union membership before being hired, and the construction unions have closed membership rolls.
Incorrect.

"Under the NLRA, you cannot be required to be a member of a union or pay it any monies as a condition of employment unless the collective bargaining agreement between your employer and your union contains a provision requiring all employees to either join the union or pay union fees.Even if there is such a provision in the agreement, the most that can be required of you is to pay the union fees (generally called an "agency fee.")"
