The Republicans Have Failed the Nation
....The issue is that the Republican leaders who will be in charge in January are the Republican leaders who were directly complicit in the construction of the fiscal cliff and were directly complicit in getting us already to $16 trillion in national debt. Democrats are not to blame; both parties in Washington are.
Obsequious praise for small government does the Republicans no good when they too are in favor of big government in their actions. And having two leaders as the face of the party who have both been in Washington since 1986 does no good restoring credibility when these multi-decade residents of the swamp wink and smile that they really do think Washington is the problem.
Is it any wonder the American people have come to the conclusion that government isn’t so bad when the party of small government keeps expanding it too? The leaders of the party are the message, not the words. And the message does not resonate because they do not practice what they preach.
Until the Republicans change their message, they will keep losing. Changing the message means changing the men. Will 16 Republicans in the House be brave enough to stand up and say the party needs a new Speaker of the House?
This is not about the compromise. This is not about the fiscal cliff. This is not even about removing Amash, Huelskamp, Schweikert, and Jones. This is about beginning again anew — a process that cannot happen when the faces of the Republican leadership have been in Washington since 1986 expanding government while preaching the need for limiting it.

I seldom reply to your posts. The reason? You pick and choose info from various sources and the information you cherry pick always fits your view. You blame all on republican politicians.
Be honest, admit that the vast majority of those who make our laws be it democrats or republicans their biggest concern is getting re - elected. We need term limits, 12 years maximum time in congress. Lets get back to citizen legislators. They would have to do a better job than what we are currently subjected to.

Well then, like I said, pass it around. You obviously have too much. Obama doesn't think you deserve to keep it all to yourself. You're supposed to think that too.

And I "altered" your post again. Too much ranting at the beginning.

This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power monopoly regulated by the US Department of Energy.
I then took a shower in the clean water provided by the municipal water utility. Then, I brushed my teeth with that water, filtered to standards set by the EPA and my state.
After that, I turned on the TV to one of the FCC regulated channels to see what the National Weather Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration determined the weather was going to be like using satellites designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast of US Department of Agriculture inspected food and taking the drugs which have been determined as safe by the Food and Drug Administration.
At the appropriate time as regulated by the US Congress and kept accurate by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the US Naval Observatory, I get into my National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads built by the local, state, and federal Departments of Transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the Environmental Protection Agency, using legal tender issued by the Federal Reserve Bank and printed by the Federal Bureau of Engraving and Printing. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US Postal Service and drop the kids off at the public school.
I park my car on the street, paved and maintained by the Department of Transportation, and put quarters issued by the United States Mint into the parking meter.
Then, after spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the Department of Labor and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, I drive back to my house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and the fire marshal's inspection, and which has not been plundered of all its valuables thanks to the local police department.
I then log onto the Internet which was developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Administration and post on freerepublic and fox news forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government can't do anything right. Keep government out of my Medicare!

About time someone did.
Republicans are disappointed that a complete incompetent like Susan Rice will not be guiding Obama's foreign policy.

<quoted text>You're wrong. Many people take whatever job they can get which is not much of a choice.
It's the choice to work or not to work. I prefer to work. But if I'm offered a job, it's MY CHOICE whether or not to accept that job, and no-one else's. My choice not to accept the job will have consequences - many of them potentially unpleasant - as will accepting the job. It becomes my peripheral 'job' to decide which to do. No one, no circumstance, will make that choice for me, for you, or for any other citizen.

Bull hockey. If I wasn't being paid, I'd quit, and find work that paid. Show me an example of a job in America where you're not free to walk out the door with your belongings and never look back.

So why are these manufactures fleeing the country to avoid the tax for goods sold here? Both domestic & imported are taxed.

Its a good thing she dropped from being considered. The middle-east is too volitile to be handled by a woman. Besides, the Arab world do not take kindly to a woman being in charge of anything.

Anyone with half a brain knows that the only ones to benefit from right to work laws are Republicans and their wealthy donors. Unions are the major source of funds for the Democratic party, the voice of middle class America. People in Michigan were given a wake up call with this stab in the back from Snyder. Not only will this law be repealed but it will ensure a Democratic governor in 2014. Just another example of Republicans not knowing which fights to pick.
