Please send one piece at a time. We have no set maximum length or minimum length for prose submissions. Most of our submissions are between 3,000-6,000 words.

New Voices
Granta’s online New Voices features writers who have not previously published any book-length works. The maximum length for New Voices submissions is 4,000 words.

Art and Photography
Granta includes at least one photo essay or art spread in each issue, as well as individual images to accompany the written pieces. We welcome all types of image submissions. We also consider film and video stills. Please include a short note about the idea behind the images. Captions are helpful where appropriate. Please include no more than six low-res jpegs.

Please do not submit book manuscripts.
