Those kind of details get lost in the propaganda shuffle by The Obama Team Cheerleaders.

The percentage of americans who own stock outside of 401k is something like 46%. That includes the "1%". It used to be in the 50%+ range before the recession.

Mourdock attempted to clarify his comments in a press conference Wednesday morning, emphasizing "regret" that his comments were misinterpreted but standing by the essential nature of his remarks:

He simply misspoke. It was unfortunate that he did. But he did.
