Barack Obama, our next President

Couldn't locate his original post so I am posting here. I am a woman and there are a multitude of birth control methods available to me. I personally believe using one of these methods rather than abortion for birth control is the best option.

There are over 800,000 abortions in this country per year. With Obamacare, my taxes are going to help pay for something I consider morally wrong! It disgusts me!!!!

Living in your own fantasy world may feel nice and even comforting but math is real and Republican math just doesn't add up. Joe Biden trounced your math genius Paul Ryan, who couldn't be bothered to do the math on his own proposals. Tax cuts don't create revenue, they create deficits, but Republican math isn't designed to add up, it is designed to do the one thing Republicans care about, making rich people richer. David Koch and Rupert Murdoch aren't paying for moderation. The fact is, Republican tax policies create deficits on purpose so Republicans can use those deficits as an excuse to destroy the social programs they have always tried to destroy. Watching Republicans wail about the deficits they created reminds me of that Gilbert Godfried joke about the guy who goes to the bar and then comes home drunk and tells his wife about how some other guy at the bar shit in his pants.
Look, Mouth, instead of wasting perfectly good electrons, why not just write a book? Toilet paper is cheap.

WASHINGTON (AP)— President Barack Obama warned Syria on Monday that the use of chemical weapons would be "totally unacceptable" and that the country's leaders would be held accountable.
Obama said that if Syrian President Bashar Assad made the "tragic mistake" of deploying chemical weapons, there would be consequences. Obama stopped short of detailing those consequences.
Obama's comments came as U.S. officials said intelligence had detected Syrian movement of chemical weapons components in recent days.
The White House said earlier Monday that it was increasingly concerned that the beleaguered regime in Syria might be considering use of chemical weapons against its own people and warned that doing so would "cross a red line."
These must be those WMDs that Saddam moved into Syria and that Bush was looking for. Gee. We finally found them.

So Obama can spend it on vacation, golf and 40,000 picture frames on federal agency?
So GSA can go to Las Vegas with our tax money?
So Obama can spend it on "shovel ready jobs" and Solindra?
So he can travel in one Air Force one while his wife travels on the other one to the same destination four hours apart?
Do you really think that if small companies pay more that the 60% they pay now Obama will spend less?

At least you are somewhat honest. But I will ask again, no response expected, Why should anyone pay a higher or lower tax rate than you do? No answer?
Peace
(thank you.)

"In the last 20 years we've witnessed an expansion and strengthening of many of our civil liberties, but our economic liberties have too often been neglected and even abused. We protect the freedom of expression of the author, as we should, but what of the freedom of expression of the entrepreneur, whose pen and paper are capital and profits, whose book may be a new invention or small business? What of the creators of our economic life, whose contributions may not only delight the mind but improve the condition of man by feeding the poor with new grains, bringing hope to the sick with new cures, vanishing ignorance with wondrous new information technologies?

And what about fairness for families? It's in our families that America's most important work gets done: raising our next generation. But over the last 40 years, as inflation has shrunk the personal exemption, families with children have had to shoulder more and more of the tax burden. With inflation and bracket-creep also eroding incomes, many spouses who would rather stay home with their children have been forced to go looking for jobs. And what of America's promise of hope and opportunity, that with hard work even the poorest among us can gain the security and happiness that is the due of all Americans? You can't put a price tag on the American dream. That dream is the heart and soul of America; it's the promise that keeps our nation forever good and generous, a model and hope to the world.

For all these reasons, this tax bill is less a freedom—or a reform, I should say, than a revolution. Millions of working poor will be dropped from the tax rolls altogether, and families will get a long-overdue break with lower rates and an almost doubled personal exemption. We're going to make it economical to raise children again. Flatter rates will mean more reward for that extra effort, and vanishing loopholes and a minimum tax will mean that everybody and every corporation pay their fair share. And that's why I'm certain that the bill I'm signing today is not only an historic overhaul of our tax code and a sweeping victory for fairness, it's also the best antipoverty bill, the best profamily measure, and the best job-creation program ever to come out of the Congress of the United States."

A 1st Amendment Rights issue, indeed. Being forced to pay for the sins of others tramples all over the rights of those who value Life as a religious or spiritual belief.

Practicing birth control is too difficult for some people, who need abortions to cover their lack of discipline. To assert otherwise is racist.

Pretty sure mediamatters.org left out something that was crucial to the actual truth in this article.

If this source is what you call seeking the truth and thinking for yourself, you missed the mark.

the Right, Republicans, and the So Called Conservatives including G.W. Bush call Socialist Democracy Compassionate Conservatism which I do not even consider Conservatism not even close.

Compassionate Conservatism

Compassionate Conservatism is a political philosophy that stresses using traditionally conservative techniques and concepts in order to improve the general welfare of society.

CNN agreed with Romney. They posted an article with the headline and summary:

"47% will pay no federal income tax...An increasing number of households end up owing nothing in major federal taxes, but the situation may not be sustainable over the long run."
