There is a difference between spending money that the government no longer confiscates and money planned for future living expenses. By paying out two years in advance stockholders get more money up front but those that use it for living on must now find a way to shelter it against future taxes.

You'd have to work at least 24 hours a day in order to afford a normal existence.$7.50 per hour? Man that would suck.

They already get some of my money. We gotta pay for those wars. We've dug such a deep hole that merely cutting spending will not get us out. I say rescind the tax cuts for the the weathly, call it their patriotic duty, cut military spending, close some overseas bases, cancel the war on drugs and go with some states have already done and legalize and tax marijuana, declare victory on the war on terror and break up the Dept. of Homeland security, wash and wax my car and cancel Christmas.

If I were the Dems I would let them expire then after January 1st/Inauguration/whenever the Dems could re-introduce legislation for tax cuts for those making under 250,000, let's see the Republicans try and stop that one. I heard that somewhere else so not taking credit.

Shelter it.

Really.

Dividends will be treated as ordinary income.

So, if your taxable income is under $70,700, then the tax on your dividends would be less.

So, yes those very poor people making around $100K (70K taxable) will need to switch to cat food & living in cardboard boxes to survive.

Why do you listen to that lush?

"N ow let's consider the extreme case where you get $12,000 a year, but you get no paid vacation. In the previous case, we assumed 2 weeks of vacation, but if you worked the entire year without any breaks, that would be 52 weeks. Assuming 40 hours a week, that equals 2,080 hours in a year. Your annual salary of $12,000 would end up being about $5.77 per hour."

Ok, so we let them expire. We still spend 1.2 trillion more than we take on. From 1.3 to 1.2 trillion. Wow, that's one hell of a start
It doesn't fix a damn thing though. You're brain washed, homer.

Military spending should have cut itself considerably due our leaving Iraq, and then further as we finally make the escape from Afghanistan.

If we can stay out of large scale military conflicts for one or two Presidential terms perhaps we can settle on what size our military really needs to be.

Additionally, beyond military (Pentagon) spending, conflict creates additional spending in other government agencies, the State Department, NSA. CIA, VA of course and too many others to mention.

Hah, I love that Da Bammy has laid Syria off on Russia, Turkey and Lebanon and that those nations haven't a fkn clue about what to do.

Haha. What an idiot.

" House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said President Barack Obama’s budget for 2013, which got zero votes in Congress, Democrat or Republican, was “an excellent proposal” for talks dealing with the so-called fiscal cliff."
