Time to bring home the bacon:

DETROIT (WJBK)-- The city of Detroit faces a major financial crisis and one member of city council thinks President Barack Obama should step in and help.

City Council member JoAnn Watson said Tuesday the citizens support of Obama in last month's election was enough reason for the president to bailout the struggling the city.

"Our people in an overwhelming way supported the re-election of this president and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that," said Watson. "Of course, not just that, but why not?"

Nearly 75 percent of Wayne County voters pulled the lever for Obama in November.

"After the election of Jimmy Carter, the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington, D.C. and came home with some bacon," said Watson. "That's what you do."

No I didn't see that, he's another one I just find absolutely repulsive; he'll drive himself into a tree one day like that other freak in Texas. Eventually they self destruct.

Hillary in 2016? Popular Idea

Carried by a new high in personal popularity and broad approval of her work as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton closes out her diplomatic career with majority support as a candidate for president in 2016.

Fifty-seven percent in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll say they'd back a run by Clinton to succeed Barack Obama, vs. 37 percent opposed. That includes a broad gender gap - 66 percent support for Clinton among women, dropping to 49 percent among men.

I could vote for Hillary.

Exactly the point. Nobody has a clue. But the history of all such programs (Social Security, Medicare) is that the costs are much, much higher than original estimates.

Fiend watched his victim die: Homeless man arrested in Times Square subway murder:
A homeless drifter last night confessed to tossing a Queens father onto a Times Square subway track, where he was fatally crushed by a Q train, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Naeem Davis, 30 was being grilled in the grisly death of Ki Suk Han, 58, who was struck in front of horrified onlookers Monday after trying desperately to scramble back to the platform.

Davis told police that he “stayed and watched” as the train hit Han, a law-enforcement source said.

“He said he heard his torso snap and he knew he was dead.”

Davis showed no remorse for causing Han’s death, another source said.

Homeless man shoeless again despite cop's gift of boots - wants 'piece of the pie'

Officer Larry DePrimo gives Jeffrey Hillman boots and socks.

The New York City homeless man — whose gift of boots from an NYPD police officer became an online sensation — is back on the streets with no shoes.

The man, Jeffrey Hillman, formerly of South Plainfield, NJ was found Sunday night wandering barefoot in Manhattan, The New York Times reported.

Asked about the $100 all-weather boots Officer Larry DePrimo gave him on Nov. 14, Hillman says he's hidden them because "they are worth a lot of money."

He says he's grateful for the gift, but he wants "a piece of the pie" because the photo was posted online "without permission."

An Arizona tourist snapped the photo of the officer presenting new boots to Hillman. It went viral after it was posted on the NYPD's Facebook page.
