The Department of Defense and the Department of Justice together have more than enough prison space within the United States to safely and securely house the remaining 166 prisoners currently held in Guantanamo Bay, according to a new report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The report (PDF), commissioned by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), details a clear road map to accomplishing President Barack Obama’s longtime goal of shuttering the controversial military facility. “This report demonstrates that if the political will exists, we could finally close Guantanamo without imperiling our national security,” Feinstein explained in prepared text.“The GAO report makes clear that numerous prisons exist inside the United States—operated by both the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice—capable of holding the 166 detainees who remain at Guantanamo in an environment that meets the security requirements.” Raw Story (http://s.tt/1vh4R ) |

Judged: 1 1 1 The Revenue Act of 1932 (June 6, 1932, ch. 209, 47 Stat. 169) raised United States tax rates across the board, with the rate on top incomes rising from 25 percent to 63 percent. The estate tax was doubled and corporate taxes were raised by almost 15 percent. The provisions of the act applied to the taxable year of 1932 and all subsequent taxable years. It was signed into law by President Herbert Hoover. to get an Idea of the Republicans Tax Rate conbined with the Sur Tax in 1932 from the Table provided by the link and this was during the begining of the Great Depression, example take $4,000 in 1932 then multiply it by 16.8844525 which would be equivalent to $67,538 in 2012 under the Republicans Revenue Act of 1932 if it was implemented today and the highest combined tax rate was 63%. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenue_Act_of_1... |

Give the Tea Party some time. Republican Senate was not destroyed in a day. Tea Party Republican Party pushed out moderate Sen. Richard Lugar in Indiana and then ran Tea Party candidate Richard Mourdock on the rape issue. Tea Party candidate Todd Akins, of Missouri, Tea Party another rape fan! |

No, you don't understand. You are talking about tax rates. I'm talking about people who live off of capital gains and dividends getting hurt because the government is taking more of their money. Which is why they are returning to work and not taking the gains and let the dividends reinvest till the rates come back down or eliminated altogether. Get it now? |

Judged: 2 So, the courts voted in favor of requiring banks to issue bad loans. Bad home loans are of two kinds. The first is where the borrower lacks the financial resources to repay the loan. The second is where the property is worth less than the loan and/or is likely to decline in value, such as in depressed neighborhoods. Once again, politics trumps sanity. |
