The Revenue Act of 1932 (June 6, 1932, ch. 209, 47 Stat. 169) raised United States tax rates across the board, with the rate on top incomes rising from 25 percent to 63 percent. The estate tax was doubled and corporate taxes were raised by almost 15 percent.

The provisions of the act applied to the taxable year of 1932 and all subsequent taxable years.

It was signed into law by President Herbert Hoover.

to get an Idea of the Republicans Tax Rate conbined with the Sur Tax in 1932 from the Table provided by the link and this was during the begining of the Great Depression, example take $4,000 in 1932 then multiply it by 16.8844525 which would be equivalent to $67,538 in 2012 under the Republicans Revenue Act of 1932 if it was implemented today and the highest combined tax rate was 63%.

No, you don't understand. You are talking about tax rates. I'm talking about people who live off of capital gains and dividends getting hurt because the government is taking more of their money. Which is why they are returning to work and not taking the gains and let the dividends reinvest till the rates come back down or eliminated altogether. Get it now?

So, the courts voted in favor of requiring banks to issue bad loans.

Bad home loans are of two kinds. The first is where the borrower lacks the financial resources to repay the loan. The second is where the property is worth less than the loan and/or is likely to decline in value, such as in depressed neighborhoods.
