Morning Lily,
Tea Party may become a wing of the Democratic Senate Election Committee :-)
You may have a point. Cucinelli in VA plans to run for Gov, he's as far right as they come. I guess he didn't get the memo.
Didn't he also say he didn't want his child to have a SS #?

Syria is Iran's most important ally, without Syria Iran's regional voice diminishes measurably.
Speaking of Iran, pollution is again temporarily closing schools and government offices throughout Tehran Province. Pollution in Iran's population centers is created mostly by Iranian built vehicles which burn cheaply produced fuels.
What a massacre in Syria! How many killed now? 40,000? Assad won't go down till the end.

If he was in the Korean war that would be true__but the US still continues to have a sizable military presence in S Korea.

South Korea has grown to become a real player on the world stage ranking among the top economic powers.

There are unconfirmed reports that the spokesman of the Syrian Foreign Ministry has defected.

Sources say Jihad Makdissi has left Syria for London, with Reuters news agency quoting an unnamed regional diplomatic source as saying that "he is out of Syria".

Going over the "fiscal cliff" is the only hope for bringing some sanity to the federal budget. Time to take the bitter medicine.
No matter how it happens, Obama won't be going over the cliff...

According to senior administration officials, Obama is not eager to go over the cliff, but he is willing. If no deal is reached by the end of the month, all the Bush tax cuts—for the rich and not-rich—will evaporate. Obama would then demand in early January that the new Congress immediately pass legislation to reinstate the lower tax rates for the bottom 98 percent. Boehner and the Republicans presumably will find it difficult to say no and insist they will only vote for such tax relief if it includes breaks for the wealthy or cuts in Medicare and other government spending. As a Democratic strategist close to the White House says, "For years we've tried to make the case that the Republicans are willing to hold up tax cuts for 98 percent to help the guys at the top. This is the cleanest shot we've gotten at this."

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/12/j...

but the republicans will be going all the way to the bottom.

They are so screwed.
