I don't want big brother dictating what anyone can and cannot do. Apparently, you don't mind but it seems like the progressive liberal thing to do. |

Jim Daly Aims To Broaden Focus On The Family Beyond Anti-Gay Marriage, Anti-Abortion Record
Focus on the Family, the former evangelical powerhouse of the Religious Right that was known for its vitriolic campaigns against gay rights, same-sex marriage and abortion -- its founder James Dobson once compared gay-marriage advocates to Hitler -- is taking a sharp turn away from culture war-style politics and widening its goals to include everything from immigration reform to decreasing poverty and increasing adoptions and foster care opportunities, its top leader said in an interview with The Huffington Post. "It's fair to say we have concentrated on some things that have distracted from the main thing, which is the Gospel of Christ," said Jim Daly, the president and CEO of the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based organization and host of its "Focus on the Family" radio program, which reaches about 2 million people weekly across 1,000 stations. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/16/jim-... |

Judged: 1 1 1 Jacqueline Kennedy was a smoker - big time. So was Walt Disney. President Obama was and probably still is a smoker. None of the above are part of the Tea Party. |

i saw her at the bar at 1;45am.
my radar arose from his slumber. the perfect spatchula shift victim. the kind of half drunk women you may need to peel off the bar stool with a spatchula but breathing none the less. always a better choice than new yawks rotting corpse. but i digress. our eyes meet just for a second but the chase is on. i choose not to jump the gun but to wait. i pay my tab and leave. while warming my car she emerges from the bar, shivering and just drunk enough. i make my move. "hey honey its freezing out there need a ride"? dem knows she doesnt need a ride, at least not in a car. the fortyish looking woman, slim, dark haired says her car is right over there, pointing at a jalopy that says divorced all over it. thinking quickly even after ten beers and a half dozen shots of Patron, dem says "lets have a night cap at my house" the hook is set! the woman, nervous and rightly so says,'lets go to the 5am bar'. capital idea my scorned lovely. the bar being only a mere half mile away, i put the car on auto pilot and arrive. very crowded but i spot her immediately. dem done drinking, wants to be prepared with more than a limp dk, buys the sexy lady a couple beers and a shot. hook, line, and condom she agrees to return to dems web. to be continued! |

Carol, I'm in the medical field and I use to smoke. Our hospital campus went smoke free several years ago. We, the employees, were not allowed to smoke anywhere near the campus. If we were witnessed smoking while on duty, we were subject to termination. If a coworker suspected someone of smoking, they were encouraged to turn the offender in. We were given plenty of advance notice that this change was coming and there were solutions provided to quit smoking. However, patients and their family members could continue to smoke wherever they wanted to on hospital grounds. We, the employees, were not suppose to speak with them about smoking. Security officers could approach them and advise them of the campus no smoking policy; however, if they decided to continue to smoke the subject was to be dropped. I did not understand the reasoning behind this at all. I have kind of quit smoking; I now use an electronic cigarette and have cut down on the nicotine to almost nil. I miss the act of smoking, but not the side effects like the smell, shortness of breath, cost. I'm finally back to running for enjoyment again. It is a free country and if you can afford the habit, go for it. Pollution - noise, trash, second hand smoke - affects everyone. I sense you are respectful in that regard. |

have you ever read the US Constitution talk about big brother dictating besides all the other amendments added by big brother example the 19th amendment(giving women the right to vote). |
nightchalker is 'champing at the bit' to see the fate of dems conquest, arent you little man?
So your argument is big government/big brother is better than no government? What exactly is your point? |
always the smooth talker, darling. |
You're confusing recognizing one's rights with taking away one's rights. Abortion took away the rights of the unborn. Now they're going after smokers. Nevermind narcotic and alcohol abusers or the consequences of both. |
carol only likes big government if it applies to her and her woes. |
