One for Homer--

(Who ever told you Hostess didn't make Devil Dogs H--was either lying- or as usual-utterly IGNORANT.)

Latest on Hostess-
The ailing company, which also makes Wonder Bread and Drake's cakes, sought permission from bankruptcy court on Monday to liquidate its business, claiming that its operations were crippled by the bakers' strike and that winding down was the best way to preserve its dwindling cash.

Sounds like we Hostess chocolate lovers are outa luck for awhile Homer!

Thanks for being civil, unusual concept here. I don't pretend to know what Obama has planned, I was more worried about what Romney SAID he was going to do.
Be careful sharing anything personal here, these vultures are waiting to pick anything you say about yourself apart. I started out like you, just interested in bouncing thoughts off others and trying to understand where the other side was coming from. But on here if you turn the other cheek, you get hit with the other hand.
Some pretty nasty ones around (talk about wilted tossed saladuh in the headuh!) huh.

Heya's hoping Hostess reorginizes!!

Good on ya - both! Think I told the story about a local old fart who I've taken care of as a patient. Sits at the Romney table at the local restaurant for coffee. Never speaks to me when he's there with the fellas. Stopped me uptown one day and asked how I was doing. Said he still "liked me as a person," but would never be able to talk to me when he was with Rusty (ring leader at their table). We saw him at lunch today (sitting by himself) and had a really nice political conversation with him, discussing issues and what we would like to see happen in the US of A in the next four years. He sure hates Obama, but loves this country like the rest of us.

Why is civility a surprise?

What do you find rhetorical???
The consulate was a cover for a CIA base__is there some part of that that your dumb azz doesn't understand?
1.Why were special ops security pulled out just weeks before the Septemeber terrorist attack (not the JUNE terrorist attack, the September 11 attack.)

2.Why were repeated request for enhanced security based on the obvious apparent terrorist activitiesand black flags waving, disregarded and/or ignored?

3. Why was such blatant DISinformation publisized nationally, to US citizens, rather than the truth, of WTH had been going on in Libya?

Foreign Policy FAILURE.

How about George Will and William F. Buckley? Those names new to you too?

I offer you my apologies for my sharp tone, and agree that the pharmacist I referred to in that post would be the owner of the Pharmacy.

I guess it was the perceived slur against taxi drivers with peccadilloes against alcohol breath and dogs which got to me. Sorry for the 'drunk ass' comment.

The demonazis in the US senate strive to remove more of our privacy:

A Senate proposal touted as protecting Americans' e-mail privacy has been quietly rewritten, giving government agencies more surveillance power than they possess under current law.

CNET has learned that Patrick Leahy, the influential Democratic chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, has dramatically reshaped his legislation in response to law enforcement concerns. A vote on his bill, which now authorizes warrantless access to Americans' e-mail, is scheduled for next week.

Leahy's rewritten bill would allow more than 22 agencies -- including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Communications Commission -- to access Americans' e-mail, Google Docs files, Facebook wall posts, and Twitter direct messages without a search warrant. It also would give the FBI and Homeland Security more authority, in some circumstances, to gain full access to Internet accounts without notifying either the owner or a judge.(CNET obtained the revised draft from a source involved in the negotiations with Leahy.)

Revised bill highlights

Grants warrantless access to Americans' electronic correspondence to over 22 federal agencies. Only a subpoena is required, not a search warrant signed by a judge based on probable cause.
Permits state and local law enforcement to warrantlessly access Americans' correspondence stored on systems not offered "to the public," including university networks.
Authorizes any law enforcement agency to access accounts without a warrant -- or subsequent court review -- if they claim "emergency" situations exist.
Says providers "shall notify" law enforcement in advance of any plans to tell their customers that they've been the target of a warrant, order, or subpoena.
Delays notification of customers whose accounts have been accessed from 3 days to "10 business days." This notification can be postponed by up to 360 days.
