Please indulge me. But since it seems we're winding down a bit, I felt compelled to post this for some reason.
To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Being the eternal optimist and all.
I have always enjoyed The Byrds version:

Wiki - Turn! Turn! Turn!: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn !_Turn!_Turn!

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

"A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together" is missing from your version and I find that phrase intriguing.

So...what Season & Time are we to be in right at this moment?

I believe it should be "A time to rend ... and a time to speak"

You are speaking well, carol. We need some rendering, however.

Sure. The majority of voters were wrong. Whatever you say, Moshie.
There is nothing to discuss. The issues were all on the table before the election.
Your stupidity and Rmoney were solidly rejected.
The Electoral Vote was 332-206.
Your views were completely rejected, yet you call the majority wrong.
The majority of Americans rejected Rmoney for his lies, deception, hidden tax shelters, and hatred for poor Americans.
BTW, Cuban Americans are no longer a Republiclown voting block.
Obama got half of their votes!!
Your side is left with thought challenged folks like you, who can't even spell or construct a sentence.
That's why you will continue to lose elections.
You called the secession traitors a 'patriot army'.
That proves you to be an unAmerican bootlicker.
its true you're side won the election and the next few months will show you just what you won.higher taxes for all ,higher prices for all,higher unemployment,higher debt,a weaker dollar,less national security,more people in poverty,more regulation, and lower standard of living .that's what you voted for ,that's what you won. Congrats..

I'd say the people made a wise choice, after all Europe now is officially in recession, 23 countries the labor force is on strike. Which leaves the US and a handfull of other countries in growth including China. I would love for you well informed world affairs Fox news watchers to tell us how the USA could perform better against that tidal wave of negative growth out there and totally rely on business to generate it. I mean do you think that is what happens in China ? So this is where the distorted reality field comes into play. Low taxes = fix but unfortunately this has been the case for the past 20 yrs what happened ? China manages with a lot higher taxes on private enterprise than the US, so how do you figure that is the cure. In otherwords Tea party logic = total destruction rather than rebuild. Thank God for the smart educated East & West coast voters.

@Sister Kathryn Lust:
"Gee, Nuc, I sure wish that were true. I was raised by two different 'dads', one my father, and one my mother's 2nd husband, and their view of unions was radically different. My father saw them as a scourge (he sold steel pipe and tube to various oil companies for a living) and the other saw them as a tool (he was one of only three County Commissioners, of the 77 counties in the State we lived in, NOT to be indicted for malfeasance of public funds in 1981.) Neither harbored any illusions that the Unions were working for the working man, even 30 years ago."
Apparently, your father and stepfather didn't know many Union working men. My husband was a Journeyman electrician for 42 years and I can tell you that without the Union, he wouldn't have received the wages he deserved. He worked in construction, often out in harsh weather or dangerous surroundings and conditions. Thank goodness for OSHA, too. I'm not sure at this point, where Unions are headed, and there may be some that are bad, but not all. Without Unions for some types of jobs, people wouldn't be paid what they're worth - slave labor, and working conditions would be unsafe, just as it once was back in the Great Depression days. I know not everyone will agree with me, but the Union was a Godsend for our family and I'm grateful for it.
"...without the Union, he wouldn't have received the wages he deserved." is the lie and fallacy of unionism. "deserved"?
What does "deserved" mean in your book? He's a nice guy so he deserves to get paid more? If there was only one electrician in America, he/she could demand a million dollars per hour. If there were 20 million electricians, their wages would be set lower by the market. Artificially propping up income or prices is dead wrong because it skews and distorts the natural flow between supply and demand with bad consequences.

If I bake Twinkies for a living should I "deserve" to make $150, 000 per year? A quarter million?$30 grand? Who should decide what is "deserved" and what is not? It used to be that markets made that determination. Now, Congressional Leftists have determined to set wages. Because it buys them votes.

Professional athletes sign multi-million dollar multi-year contracts because the market allows for it. But then they organize into unions to demand even more. As long as the stupid fans are willing to pay for those artificial strong-arm marketplace tactics in their beer prices, parking and ticket prices... then so be it. A Fool and his money....

When corporations corner a market it's called an illegal Monopoly. When they collude to fix prices, it's called illegal price-fixing. When Unions corner markets through closed-shop practices or when they engage in price-fixing through standardized wage levels or other tactics like teachers' precious Tenure, it is NOT called illegal anything.

Inside the construction and manufacturing industries, Skilled Trades Apprenticeships are often handed out through nepotism, cronyism and unwarranted racial quotas, all crooked distortions of labor markets. So when I hear someone speak about how someone in a union gets the wages they "deserve", I smell more burnt Twinkies in the Devil's own kitchen of stupidity.

My parents-in-law, Lord love 'em, were born fiercely into the Dust Bowl. Both were 'accidents' and both were LOVED, and both were transplanted to California as 'Okies' in the 1950's.

Both picked onions, peaches, tomatoes, pecans, almonds, watermelons, and whatever the * else there was to pick. Both ate beans & taters 6 days a week, and twice on Sunday. Both were glad to get it. Both of them collaborated on the existence of my husband and his siblings, both of whom were my best friends.

When I graduated from Daniel Webster High School, I did so with my future sister in law doing the driving, although she never got her GED.

I digress - my point was, Americans share a lot, and disagree on everything.
