Chicago, arguably the most corrupt city in the country, has passed a $25 per purchase "Violence Tax" on firearms purchased in Cook County. Of course this tax will not apply to illegal firearms purchased by criminals, only to law-abiding citizens wishing to protect themselves from them. County Commissioner Toni Preckwinkle (I'm not making that up) who introduced the legislation said she is confident that this measure will reduce violent crime in her city. Mayor Rahm Emanuel (who Judicial Watch ranks as the second most corrupt politician in the country only surpassed by Barbara Boxer), gave this measure his full support. Just more delusional democrats that believe raising taxes will solve all their problems.

.... the truth is, Romney was an unpalatable candidate. And shocking as it may seem, his strategists weren’t blowing smoke when they said they were going to win; they were just clueless.
Until now, Republicans and Fox News have excelled at conjuring alternate realities. But this time, they made the mistake of believing their fake world actually existed. As Fox’s Megyn Kelly said to Karl Rove on election night, when he argued against calling Ohio for Obama:“Is this just math that you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better?”
Romney and Tea Party loonies dismissed half the country as chattel and moochers who did not belong in their “traditional” America. But the more they insulted the president with birther cracks, the more they tried to force chastity belts on women, and the more they made Hispanics, blacks and gays feel like the help, the more these groups burned to prove that, knitted together, they could give the dead-enders of white male domination the boot.

I agree. Some voted for Obama because he's a Democrat and they're Democrats, some because he is of the left and they are too.

And some were saying we know the economy got worse these past four years and we don't like ObamaCare and we know his spending policies are damaging and he said he can't fix Washington from inside and the majority of us think the country is on the wrong path.

And they didnt' care about what Obama said to the Russians about flexibility when he thought the mike was off.

They bought and had a mantra for the last 10 years about that whole unsubstantiated "Bush lied" about Iraq and WMD scandal, but they don't want to bother about Obama and the lies about Libya.

Basically, they liked Obama better than Romney.

And no one cares to question now why the White House knew about Iran shooting a drone down on November 1, but didn't announce it until after the election.

I just told the wife, we don't need to know so just stop watching Fox and go shop the Veterans Day sales.

Why Romney Lost: Conservative Commentary Roundup

....at the Review, Michael Tanner writes that it was not the Romney campaign that lost the election, but the Republican Party, which has failed to expand its demographic reach beyond white men. Republicans also failed to persuade young voters and Republicans’ hard-line stance on immigration failed miserably with Hispanics, who helped Obama carry Nevada and Colorado. On social issues, Tanner says the Republicans have struck the wrong tone, sounding “intolerant and self-righteous” as they have opposed abortion rights and gay marriage.“The Republican brand was too easily associated with the words of Todd Akin,” he writes. The Republicans also made a mistake when they indulged the “birther” proponents, and ultimately failed to offer an agenda for the future that was positive and hopeful enough to persuade swing voters.

If you visit New York and are unaware of the firearms law and naively volunteer your weapon at a checkpoint, you will be arrested. But if you live in a bad neighborhood and bring weapons to any police precint, you can get paid a couple hundred per weapon you surrender.

This is not a bi-partisan issue. This is a serious flaw in the decision making process of Our Government. It shows ineptitude and inadequacy.
And then to lie about it only adds insult to injury.
Our Government failed those Four Americans, plain and simple.
The question is WHY?

An Iranian aircraft fired on an unarmed US Predator drone that was conducting routine surveillance in international waters, the Pentagon says.

The drone was not hit and it returned safely to its base.....

No one but Fox News really cares about any of this.

And it isn't like this is mainstream either:

Buried October Surprise? Iran Shot at U.S. Drone

The news comes days after Valerie Jarrett was said to be involved in Iran negotiations

Some pretty alarming news broke this afternoon about an American surveillance drone, which was fired upon by Iranian planes. The drone was over international waters in the Persian Gulf when it was targeted, but was not hit.

The shooting, which the Pentagon said occurred Nov. 1 — five days before the American presidential election — was the first known instance of Iranian warplanes firing on an American surveillance drone. George Little, the top Pentagon spokesman, attributed the weeklong official silence on the episode to restrictions on discussing classified surveillance missions.

But the episode — and the official silence about it until Thursday — raised questions about whether the delay had been meant to forestall a controversy before the election.

This comes as well-known tensions remain high between the United States and Iran over the latter’s nuclear program, currently the target of broad international sanctions led by the United States. The incident also comes weeks after an Iranian drone launched by Hezbollah was shot down by Israeli forces after reportedly taking pictures of Israeli bases. Most notably though, this news comes just days after it had been announced that the Shiraz-born Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett had been assisting the United States in its negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program. How this incident avoided daylight, despite taking place in range of the Strait of Hormuz–the choke point nearly a fifth of the world’s oil avoided daylight, is pretty stunning. Meanwhile, rumors that Iran and United States were set to engage direct talks made headlines last week.

What else don’t we know about the American strategy vis-à-vis Iran?

As if that smoke and mirrors witch hunting (is for losers) into peoples personal lives, no-brainer tabloid level junk is sooo lame anyway, as if that mattered as to anything to do with WTH is/was going on in Libya.

It wasn't the damn CIA's job to make sure that there were enough assets to cover the assets we had their to start with anyway.

OMG...OMG...what time does the General drink his morning cup of coffee? Do you think his toilet paper rolls from the top out, or the bottom out? What kind of toothpaste do ya think he uses? Wonder which sock he puts on first? Boxers or briefs? Reckon he prefers Snickers or Muskateers?
Doesn't it just make ya tingle all over thinking about those serious world event questions?

'Moronification' from social networking is real as well. It proves that the ability to directly communicate, in and of itself, isn't always beneficial. As the amount of information increases, the aptitude required to glean fact from fiction obviously decreases. It's as if social networking is the feeding tube through which "Cool" aid is pumped. The reelection of Obama is proof.
