If that is your position, then we can easily blame Reagan and Bush.

After all they armed Bin Laden to fight the Russians as a proxy for America.

It was all love between Bin Laden and America and then a disagreement happened which triggered 911.

Romney is going to get his clock cleaned twice.

First the 47 % and now his big money backers.

His big money backers want their millions of dollars back and Romney will not be able to return the money back using taxpayer money because he is not president.

Romney is advoiding the issue because he does not want to pay out of his pocket.

This will be interesting.

Agree

I would not be surprised IF...

IRS took a 'special' <wink> interest in Bain, Mitts missing returns, and his cohorts in the Boca video.

The GOP resorted to lies and personal attacks...
They lost considerably more than most of their supporters understand.

The millionaires and billionaires who gave nearly $500 million to independent groups in the race to elect Mitt Romney and other Republicans not only bet on the wrong party, they bet on the wrong tactic. They believed that an endless drumbeat of television advertisements would be enough to drive voters away from President
It did not work....

There is something supremely cynical about the notion among Republican conservatives that they could use their ability to make unlimited contributions to “super PACs” and shadowy social-welfare groups to buy an election. It views voters as a flock of sheep, easily hypnotized by misleading ads, willing to believe whatever wealthy industrialists tell them about taxes, jobs and health care.

They used bogus polls from Fox leading up to the election indicating Romney was going to win the election by a landslide.

It's amazing because Fox and their supporters claim they are so smart but end up looking like big dopes.

No. Not a good guy at all: A LOSER!
<quoted text>
Oh please. Die in the street? People who aren't even US Citizens fly in here from all over the world and have a "sudden illness" requiring hospital care. They leave with an IOU to US taxpayers but only a fraction actually pay us back... And whether you have private insurance, are on Medicaid, or just snuck across the Mexican border, in New York you have access to the best hospitals and doctors. When my brother-inlaw was hospitalized for serious surgery, he had the same expensive physician as two roommates who were on Medicaid. The poor also have their transportation to doctor visits provided or subsidized.

And just hold onto your seat about job cuts when the defense cuts come.

Otherwise, the Romneys have generously donated time and money to help many people. Way more in proportion to income than Obama or Biden ever have. Obama Biden are only generous with taxpayer money. And unlike Obama's two fictional, distorted, warped biographies that few bothered to read or question, Romney's life story is an open book and a good book.

But hey, Obama is great. Right before the election Bill Clinton said so and spoke about Romney in terms of getting your hand caught in a cookie jar and against liars. Bill Clinton. LOL.

I am grinning like a cheshire cat as I type this, speaking of which wouldn't it be something if Biden ever had to step in?

The Losing Habit

How long will the GOP stay in denial?

To break the losing habit, Republicans must resist the temptation to make excuses. We should dismiss the following thoughts from our minds: it was Hurricane Sandy’s fault; it was Chris Christie’s fault; the mainstream media gave Obama a pass on Benghazi; a Mormon can never be president; a private-equity guy can never be president; the Tea Party went too far; the Dems’ ground game was better in Ohio.

Forget all that. These are just ways of denying the deeper causes of Mitt Romney’s defeat. Until we face up to these, we will keep on losing. Indeed, I predict now that we will lose in 2016, even when faced with a less ruthlessly effective campaigner than President Obama.

I sympathize with people who supported Romney for good, principled reasons, because they were being lied to throughout the year. First, Romney lied to them that they could trust him, and then Romney’s boosters in conservative media lied to them by painting them a rosy portrait of the political landscape that they had to know was almost certainly wrong.

But the problem wasn’t just that conservative media gave Romney supporters bad information. The people in conservative media also seem to have been fully taken in by the idea that Romney would win and would do so in decisive fashion, and the campaign came to believe its own propaganda, too. As York notes, Romney didn’t have a prepared concession speech. It apparently never occurred to his campaign that he would lose. That’s not so remarkable by itself, but it is just one part of the overall pattern of the Romney campaign and the conservative movement’s reaction to Obama. Romney spent years running against a fantasy record and campaigning on a series of gross distortions and falsehoods, and so it shouldn’t be too surprising that his campaign and his conservative media boosters didn’t have the firmest grip on political reality.

Because they’re in psychological denial, a masterpiece of banal self-delusion, completely untethered from reality.

It will come as little surprise to intellectually honest Americans who appreciate good journalism that a study published December 10th by the University of Maryland, found that people who turn to Fox News on a regular basis are the most ill-informed of all voters who read newspapers, news magazines or tune into radio-TV news outlets.

The study entitled, "Misinformation and the 2010 Election," found that the majority of American voters didn’t have their facts straight when it came to very topical events and issues.

Most voters did recognize that prior to the November elections, they were being bombarded with misinformation.

The challenge for most consumers then, was determining which news sources were the most trustworthy and reliable.

Regular viewers of Fox News may be among the most loyal, but the study showed that they are the most ill-informed.

The study surveyed 616 voters; the margin of error in the study’s conclusions is 3.9%. Participants were asked straightforward questions about the following topics:

The state of the economy
The unemployment rate
The healthcare reform act passed by Congress
The size of the budget deficit
The package of Congressional legislation designed to stimulate the economy, also known as the stimulus bill
The amount of federal income taxes you pay
The government bailout of banks and financial institutions, also known as TARP
The war in Afghanistan
The proposed cap and trade bill designed to address climate change
The bailout program for Chrysler and General Motors
The possibility that large amounts of foreign money were being used by the US Chamber of Commerce to influence the election

Fox viewers were the most likely participants in the survey to respond with inaccurate facts and misinformation, e.g.:

Frank Luntz: Fox Viewers "Ought To Be Outraged Because, Day In And Day Out, They Were Told" Romney Would Win
http://mediamatters.org/video/2012/11/10/fran...

After Election Losses, Media Agree That Fox News Has Damaged The GOP

The American Prospect's Paul Waldman wrote that Fox and other conservative media are effective at "whipping up stories out of nothing and forcing the mainstream media to pay attention, capable of keeping their troops in line and bucking up their morale, capable of quickly disseminating messages far and wide, creating new stars and enforcing discipline." But, he added, the success of this misinformation resulted in the "single most damaging moment for Mitt Romney in this election, the 47 percent tape." Waldman further wrote that Fox and other conservative media may be "the right's Achilles' Heel."

Salon's Alex Pareene suggested that Fox "knows it's constantly lying to its audience" and that it discovered "constant lying isn't [a] consistently effective electoral strategy." Conor Friedersdorf of The Atlantic likewise argued that misinformation from Fox and conservative media cost Romney the election and wrote that "right-leaning outlets like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh's show are far more intellectually closed than CNN or public radio. If you're a rank-and-file conservative, you're probably ready to acknowledge that ideologically friendly media didn't accurately inform you about Election 2012."

And The Telegraph's Dan Hodes, in a column headlined "Fox News is killing the Republican party," even posited that "Fox News, widely perceived to be one of the Republican party's greatest assets, has actually become a liability to it....

As they should. Dictators or simply those who have ignored and will continue to ignore the constitution, usually go after those who oppose them.

Maybe Romney and all the rich contributors should not only be audited <wink> but be exiled. Or maybe, now hear me out because this would create a lot of jobs: resurrect those internment camps used to corral Japanese Americans during WWII. Like another Democrat in history, Obama could have millions of known traitors be sent to them for the next four years. Or to be more futuristic, we could establish districts like in the Hungar Games. Only Democrats get to live in the Capital District.

I totally agree. Fox (or Faux News) is still beating the drum about the Benghazi killings being mishandled by the Obama administration and the American people lied to by Obama. Give it up!

Honestly? If Nixon had been a Democrat and Fox News broke the Watergate story, Nixon would not have had to resign.
