Just wish they could come together in DC and work out a deal of compromise. Reagan was praised during his days for compromises. Today the Repubs would not even elect him.

Retiring Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) said that Todd Akin's "legitimate rape" comment turned women off of the Republican Party, during an appearance on CNN's "Starting Point" Thursday.

Comments from candidates like Akin "really tainted the party," Hutchison said, explaining the gender gap that helped Democrats win Tuesday night. "I think it's the feeling that Republicans don't get it."

Romney wasn't the ideal candidate. But in this economy, a proven businessman seemed to most of us a clear no-brainer.
Keep in mind the democrats have no one to blame anymore. It's the democrat party whose fate is really on the line. Not the other way around.
But when your business is doing this to American workers it hard to convince Dems it's what we needed.
.
WASHINGTON -- On Tuesday, officials from Bain Capital-owned Sensata Technologies threatened to shut down its north-central Illinois plant "immediately and indefinitely" if those protesting the offshoring of the facility's jobs entered the plant in an act of civil disobedience again, according to local city officials.
The plant in Freeport, Ill., which is already scheduled to close at the end of the year, has become an embarrassing campaign issue for GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney. The factory's 170 jobs are being relocated to China. Activists and workers have called on Romney to use his influence with Bain to halt the offshoring.
.
.
And then it's hard for us Dems to understand Repub Leaders in DC that do this to American workers.
.
Washington (CNN)-- Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked the No.1 item on the president's congressional "to-do-list," refusing to allow a vote on a bill that would give tax breaks for companies that "insource" jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.

There was also no way Obama voters were as enthusiastic as Romney voters. Just no way. The enthusiasm gap. Everyone bought it. Again, the opposite was true.
Americans were going to be outraged by Benghazi. Chicago made up jobs numbers. Florida was a done deal. Romney had momentum until Sandy. And on and on.
Conservatives say these things with such conviction. I think they believe them to be true. And there's a reason for that. Not so long ago, when conservatives said these things en bloc, they would come true. They'd happen. Back in Clinton's day, say. Or Bush's, before the debacles really hit home.
But then at some point, the majority of Americans stopped buying conservative bullshit. It must have been after Iraq. And Katrina. But now, conservatives can't make surrealities come true just by saying so.

Later he lied about it and tried to blame it on some stupid You Tube clip. After numerous lies and coverups the truth came out so he tried to blame it on Hillary Clinton. In 1974, Richard Nixon resigned due to the Watergate scandal. If not he surely would have been impeached. Watergate was not nearly the scandal this Benghazi thing is. Nobody died at Watergate. Congress has plenty of grounds for impeachment.
By the way, Obama favors a state-controlled economy, i.e. Obamacare. That would make him fascist.
Bush went and hid why attacks happened...

Your post is flat our lies....Obama after the attack was done did tell troops to stand down and not counter attack until we found out who did it.....You dont start shooting until you know who to shoot at....

Jeesh.
Maybe he could address this nonsense, between his TV appearences of course:

Looks as if FEMA is just a fair- weather friend.

Yesterday’s nor’easter proved too much for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s aid location in Tottenville, SI — which hung a sign reading “Closed due to weather” as the wintery storm blew into town.

Ten FEMA centers in the area reportedly suspended operations because of the storm, although the location with the sign at the Mount Loretto Community Center did open at noon."

He could start by getting his FEMA do-nothings off their asses and actually start helping people. A guy just on TV shoveling snow said he hasn't seen FEMA since once during this whole disaster. The FEMA offices in New York (including storm ravaged Staten Island) were CLOSED yesterday due to "bad weather". Where is all this red tape and bureaucracy Obama promised he was going to cut? WHERE ARE THE GENERATORS? WHERE ARE THE TEMPORARY TRAILERS? WHERE THE HELL IS OBAMA? Arrogant, incompetent as-hole!

That's why other republicans distanced themselves from these two obscure republicans who put their foot in their mouths when their zealousy - even when it was good-intentioned - didn't represent the entire party.
I would hate to think two obscure republicans who personally believe life should be preserved at all costs overshadowed a vice-president implying republicans were responsible for slavery and saying "they want to put ya'll back in chains" or a presidential campaign ad accusing Romney of killing a man's wife took precedence in people's ability to reason at the polls.
It was unfortunate the wording these two republicans chose to use in their extreme pro life stances. But they were condemned for it by all republicans and lost their elections because of it.
But you and I both know that if Ryan had said to a roomful of black republicans "they want to put ya'll back in chains" or if a Romney ad had accused Obama of killing a man's wife, their campaigns would have been over in a heartbeat.
We both also know that if two obscure democrats had said something extremely controversial, the media wouldn't have even covered it and the public would have never even known about it.
There are two sets of standards when it comes to liberals and the democrat party. There always has been. A corrupt media is the reason and are responsible for choosing sides.
If the mainstream media were cheerleaders for the republican party, you'd agree. A biased media is very dangerous. Ask Germans who lived in the 1930s. They will be the first ones to tell you.
(Sorry if this posted twice.)
Obscure? They were running for the U.S. Senate!
Did Romney condemn them? No, he endorsed them.
Rape, rape, rape; a word used everyday by one republican or another, the women heard the threats.
You sickos want women to beg and prove that they were raped before getting an abortion! You sickos want to force women to have the rapists baby! You sickos have passed laws in 31 states allowing the rapist to sue for visitation rights!
Go away you mental cases. Thanks to those "obscure" nutcases and their rape threats, the Democrats maintained the majority in the Senate; for that I am greatful.
