I see that you STILL haven't done any of your own research into the mortgage crisis.
What's funny is that you can read all the blogs you want and you are still unaware of your lack of knowledge.
this wasn't a blog, it was written by two liberal NY Times reporters.

The authors, Gretchen Morgenson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning business reporter and columnist at The New York Times, and Joshua Rosner, an expert on housing finance, deftly trace the beginnings of the collapse to the mid-1990s, when the Clinton administration called for a partnership between the private sector and Fannie and Freddie to encourage home buying.

The mortgage agencies’ government backing was, in effect, a valuable subsidy, which was used by Fannie’s C.E.O., James A. Johnson, to increase home ownership while enriching himself and other executives. A 1996 study by the Congressional Budget Office found that Fannie pocketed about a third of the subsidy rather than passing it on to homeowners. Over his nine years heading Fannie, Johnson personally took home roughly $100 million. His successor, Franklin D. Raines, was treated no less lavishly.

To entrench Fannie’s privileged position, Morgenson and Rosner write, Johnson and Raines channeled some of the profits to members of Congress — contributing to campaigns and handing out patronage positions to relatives and former staff members. Fannie paid academics to do research showing the benefits of its activities and playing down the risks, and shrewdly organized bankers, real estate brokers and housing advocacy groups to lobby on its behalf. Essentially, taxpayers were unknowingly handing Fannie billions of dollars a year to finance a campaign of self-promotion and self-protection. Morgenson and Rosner offer telling details, as when they describe how Lawrence Summers, then a deputy Treasury secretary, buried a department report recommending that Fannie and Freddie be privatized...

Maybe you should think about how people react to right wing visuals that go for a visceral reaction.
Abortion is not always right. Abortion is not always wrong. It is legal you know. And right wing nuts trying to put images in our heads of killing a 'baby' will not change that. Seems to me at this point we can see it's not helping one little bit.
A more mature and reasoned argument should now be the path of those who would try to use any means to make their point. Just ask BillO about Tiller.
you mean a baby being stabbed in the neck by obama as it leaves the birth canal isn't reasonable and mature?

Jobs were sent overseas for one reason and one reason only... GREED! There was a time when the cost of a thing was not so important, but the quality of its manufacture was. The U.S. cannot become isolationists. That has never worked for any lengthy period. But in the same vein, we need to push our elected officials for reciprocal tariffs on imported goods. When our cars go to japan, it takes days for each one to be inspected to make sure it can be used there. If we were to do the same, you would be able to drive across the Pacific in a matter of weeks for the ships backed up to Asia. NAFTA is all well and good, in principal. The reality of it is that the Central and South American countries are benefiting and the U.S. is being glutted with shoddy work and cheap labor. I will be writing to our President again, today, and to my elected state officials to ask that they address these issues. I would urge each person to do the same, whatever your issues are. Change the people in office until they get done what needs to be done!

The Romney "Landslide" That Wasn't
Every election cycle brings with it a host of pundits who get the results wrong; who misread the campaign and perhaps view events through hopeful, partisan eyes. And there's nothing unusual or especially egregious about that. What was different this time was the spectacle of a whole slate of Obama-hating conservatives who claimed that despite very clear polling evidence to the contrary, that Mitt Romney would win the election in a "landslide." Not only would the Republican defeat Obama, but he'd also do it sweeping, historic fashion.
It was fascinating to watch because these claims were supported by nothing but blind faith, as well as the far-right's signature hatred of the president and a conspiratorial view of the media. And this was the fantastic, implausible scenario conservatives fed their grateful readers, viewers and listeners right up until last night.
Indeed, it was that blinding contempt for President Obama that led so many pundits astray in the final weeks of the campaign. Unable to even comprehend how Obama would win re-election, not after he'd been denounced as a socialist, Marxist, and racist who sympathized with terrorists who was "the second coming of Jimmy Cater," his fervent media critics relied on their gut.(Truthiness?) And their gut told them this election was a no-brainer.
The Romney Landslide nicely captured the flight of fancy -the collective allergic reaction to reality-- that has defined the conservative media since the day Obama was inaugurated. Faced with the prospect of a second term by a president they had endlessly condemned as an enemy of the state (and much, much worse), the right-wing media embraced pure campaign denial and announced that Doomsday awaited Obama on November 6:....
I think we can let Mitt's lies go on by, but we need to remind the FOXbots everyday for the next 4 that FOX lies had no effect upon the election.
George Will looked like he was going to puke when it was announced that Mitt's motorcade was whisking him to make farewell speech. Weird that after most people concluded that Obama had won, some of the high priced pundits could not let go.

Romney didn't fare well as a politician__one for four and as Mass governor his performance was only so so.

I wonder what he'll do with his grand plans to create 12 million jobs__maybe they'll become op ed pieces.

You helped reelect a president who has no reservations about killing a baby coming out of the birth canal with a pair of scissors stuck in the back of its neck.

Unless, of course, you, too, have no reservations. If so, you and this president are guilty of holding the scissors.

Bill Clinton carried Obama down the field. how sad that so many were influenced to vote style over subtance, by a serial liar. and so many--whether from gulping the liberal Kool-Aid, approving his class war rhetoric, or being more interested in Honey-Boo-Boo than the well-being of their country-- ignored Obama's abysmal record, his continuous "it was Bush's fault" blame game and in spite of benghazi and just because he appeared looking presidential for a 5 minute photo op after the hurricane, they voted for him.

so now, without his non-stop campaigning, maybe Obama will actually DO the job he was supposed to do four years ago. i.e. instead of merely spending our money with an open check book, meet with the economic commission that he himself set up in order to create REAL jobs; or actually attend security briefings and hopefully not be "flexible" with Russia where he is decimating our military for empty promises.

but my guess is Obama will no longer pretend to be anything but far left and will use the next four years to weaken the military and probably push amnesty for illegals through. and I can picture Michelle already packing away for her next fabulous vacation since she had to forego one just for this one summer.

it will be interesting to note the reaction if without doctoring the unemployment numbers, they keep going up as predicted and without controlling the stock market, it slides back, while family expenses continue to rise and income continues to fall. and then the full negative consequences of ObamaCare will hit—too late.

so we--meaning my family--will now make choices for the future based on our current Cadillac health plan being forcibly ditched for a very mediocre plan and like friends in Scotland--having enough cash to pay for quality care when we don't want to wait months and sometimes years for treatments Americans now take for granted as routine.

i also won't waste any more time preaching to or trying to educate the tone-deaf choir here. LOL--like the looney lefties will anyway now go back to volunteering their time for the greater good—maybe even Lily should get a nobel peace prize. the dumbing down of America is no more obvious than here.

i hope Obama gets taxes raised on the wealthy, including the Hollywierd hypocrites like SJP--and still sees revenues fall. as a citizen with wealth considered to be in upper middle income bracket, I can't just leave the country as many uber rich will do (like Denise Rich). but we WILL be looking to reduce investments, assets, etc--in other words, we will join "the takers," whenever and wherever possible. This will be the new normal, mediocre input with government guaranteed outcome.

if you thought Velma Hart was exhausted defending Obama in 2010, you're all about to become comatose.
