The fact that Obama didn't ask the "crazy old uncle" to retire and get some rest and then choose another running mate adds just one more big fat question to Obama's decision making skills.
He couldn't admit he made a mistake the first time - for the benefit of the easily fooled. Besides, it's the "crazy old uncle" caricature that Obama likes so much. Makes him look like a pretty darn good president in comparison.

It's part of the "make Obama look good at any cost" strategy.

Well, you see the difference.
President Obama has committed several felonies in the past months. Four counts of contributory negligence and accessory to murder for the deaths of the Libyan Ambassador and his colleagues. He should also be charged with dereliction of duty for letting the tragedy and deaths in N.Y. and N.J. go on for so long while he parties in Vegas.

You can't make any kind of valid point stick by name calling.

And this point isn't even valid. It wasn't that long ago, two week long early voting is relatively new.

How can that be when people are still dying in N.Y. and N.J. due to his administration's incompetence? The death toll is now up to 113. More Washington Post liberal spin.

Well, anyway, let's just hope the majority of Americans have come to their senses or haven't lost their minds completely.

We'll know if America has irreversibly turned the corner for good on Tuesday.

Even the die-hard liberals on here and everywhere will realize too late what we've been trying to tell them.

According to a PPP poll, Romney’s favorable ratings dropped by a net 7 points in the aftermath of Sandy, while Obama’s rose 6 points. While there’s no way of knowing if that drop is related specifically to the storm, perhaps instead of having a “relief” campaign rally staged with props as Sandy ravaged New Jersey, Romney could have acted presidential, even from the sidelines. Obama did it in 2008 when the financial crisis hit. Then candidate Obama proved himself worthy of leading by rolling up his sleeves and putting the country first.

Sandy wasn’t destiny for Romney. He could have asked the Red Cross what they needed and set about really trying to make that happen instead of posing with canned goods the Red Cross said they didn’t want. He could have praised Christie and Obama and demonstrated his alleged bipartisanship. He could have taken the high road, but then, this is Mitt Romney.

There were options open to Romney that he chose to ignore. No, it wasn’t ideal for him as the challenger, but he could have made it work. Instead, he chose to make cheap shots from the sidelines while complaining about Chris Christie not being his bestie anymore. Maybe if Romney had treated Christie with a modicum of courtesy after he knew he was picking Ryan as his VP, Christie would have felt his loyalty had been returned. But no. Romney left Christie hanging. Another bad decision from Romney, but more than that, an indication that he doesn’t know how to build consensus and loyalty.

HAS ENDORSED MITT ROMNEY.
This newspaper is as far left as they get. I'm in total shock.
Editorial: Elect Mitt Romney president of the United States
Had Barack Obama done the job of president with the same passion and vision he displayed in seeking it, he would likely deserve another term.
He did not.
Against this we must weigh Mitt Romney, an imperfect candidate but one who has a special track record too. From his creation of a vast personal fortune to his successful stewardship of the threatened Salt Lake City Olympics to his governing of Massachusetts, Romney's life is a tale of success after success, many of them achieved in difficult circumstances.
Romney's potential to put America back to work earns him our endorsement.
Obama's failure to accelerate the improvement of the economy is the dominant reason Romney is the right choice, but it's not the only one. There are also the broken promises. On the campaign trail in 2008, Obama promised to halve the annual budget deficit of the United States. Instead, the shortfall has remained over $1 trillion per year, and the national debt has increased about 45 percent.
Obama said he would pass comprehensive immigration reform, but he never made a significant attempt to address it.
He said future generations would look back on his election as the time we began to slow the rise of the oceans and hasten the healing of the planet, yet he never introduced meaningful legislation aimed at achieving those goals.
Obama promised a transparent administration but instead ran a secretive White House. And Obama promised a newfound respect for civil liberties, and yet, in an expansive reading of congressional authority to use military force, he has authorized the unilateral assassination of American citizens abroad.
Obama promised to drive the unemployment rate below 6 percent in four years. It sits at 7.9 percent, just above the level when he was inaugurated.
History may well laud Obama for passing the first comprehensive health care plan to cover millions of uninsured, guarantee coverage for those with pre-existing conditions and for preventive care, and keep young adults on their parents' policies until age 26. But the law may not control costs, fails to address malpractice litigation and the expense it imposes on the system, and is based on iffy funding. Worse, Obama didn't sell the public on his plan, allowing his opponents to hijack it.
Most important, Obama promised to end the partisan divide in Washington but didn't do so. To be fair, he had no help from Republicans, but that is the case, by definition, with partisan divides. Obama should have looked to the track record of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and brought his case to the people.
continued...
Not very convincing endorsement, Jane. Piss poor in fact. There are more excuses here than an school teacher hears to explain why junior didn't have his homework. Talk about a lukewarm endorsement of a "flawed" candidate. Sounds more like an Obama endorsement. It is no surprise Newsday, one of the worst papers on the planet would endorse Rmoney. The "Dolans/Cablevision" are a bunch of corporate whores. If one didn't know better you could misinterpret this endorsment as satire. This is why Newsday is third rate paper.

Yes, all the fact checking sites agree.
Though usually in an article comparing the lies of both.
One poll says one thing, another poll says another thing.

One article says one thing, another article says another thing.

We've all made up our minds and argue about why. None of us will probably change our minds either...most have probably already voted.

Those who cannot speak in an adult manner think they win arguments by calling names when they can't think of anything to say. I think that only may work SOMETIMES in kindergarten.

I too will be glad when this is over. Of course, it'll be all over except the "bitchin" by one side or the other.
