Just wait to see how Christie deals with non union utility workers coming in to NJ to volunteer their time and assistance being turned away because they are non union.
in Christie's defense, the local power companies probably have union contracts that prohibit the use of non-union labor....and the local unions want to soak up all the overtime possible, the public be damned....

The Kenyan? Missing in action.

Thank goodness they have it under control with this president. Not like with Katrina, where we didn't seem them doing anything much.

I suppose you could say his administration had Benghazi under control too, as they pretty much "monitored" that also.

But Bloomberg thinks he should be running two giant generaters to run a marathon while NY'ers dumbster dive for food, sleep in their cars waiting to get gas only to find there is none, have no where to sleep at night and if they do there is no electric, no heat, and no hope. Yeah, let's listen to anything that moron would agree with. In the mean time....don't be drinking 32oz sodas...we're trying to save the world here, from business' killing the ozone and fat people!

I read the article you referenced abpve. Loved the last paragraph. How do two politicians flying around in a helicopter getting their pictures taken help people? Where IS FEMA and all that "gubment" help? Some places look just as bad as Katrina did. People waiting to be rescued from high water...now HOW many days after the storm hit? People complaining of no food and the lines for a little bit of gasoline...Exactly what is FEMA's response? Where are their food trucks distributing food and clean water? And Bloomberg...that liberal-minded government control freak...using huge generators to power up tents for a damn marathon when gas stations can't pump gas to people who need it because of no electric.
Sorry...you guys are not looking that great yet either.
Can you answer any of those questions?

The federal government shipped 1 million meals Thursday to New York, where National Guard troops were distributing them to people in need, Cuomo told reporters.
http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/01/us/tropical-wea...

Meanwhile, FEMA and the city were trucking badly needed food, water and hundreds of generators -- donated by the Caterpillar Corp.-- to the hardest hit parts of the island. Free food distribution centers were hastily prepared at two drop off points: Mill Road and New Dorp Lane, and at an empty lot at Yetman Ave. and Hylan Blvd. Food will be handed out again Friday.

So maybe he should have followed Mitt's lead and kept on with the campaigning/fake can drive.
And then it would have been: why hasn't Obama gone to NJ??
Mitt did exactly what was right for a candidate, money, effort and time. We would have heard ya'll screaming for days had he done anything else. So just what would you have HAD him do? Go ride around in a helicopter before returning to campaigning?

An environmentalist briefly interrupted Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney during a campaign rally Thursday in Virginia.

The protester shouted “what about climate change, that’s what caused this monster storm” before being drown out by boos from Romney supporters. The unidentified heckler held up a banner that read “End Climate Silence.” He was quickly escorted out of the audience.

As governor of Massachusetts, Romney had worked to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which scientists have pinpointed as a major cause of climate change.
