CRA reline area loans are statistically more solvent than voluntary loans. No one is 100% responsible, but the private sector banking practices bear way more than 50%.

Gov. Christie: Obama Deserves ‘Great Credit’ For Storm Response

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said that President Obama deserves "great credit" for his response to Hurricane Sandy, during an appearance on "CBS This Morning" Tuesday. He said he had spoken to the president three times, including when Obama called him at midnight.

"I can't thank the president enough for that," Christie said, referring to the major disaster declaration Obama signed for New Jersey, expediting federal aid to the state. "Cooperation from the president of the United States has been outstanding. He deserves great credit."

BENGHAZI — NO MERE ‘OCTOBER SURPRISE,’ Jonah Goldberg writes in the L.A. Times*:

This isn’t an “October surprise” foisted on the media by opposition research; it’s news.

This story raises precisely the sort of “big issues” the media routinely claim elections should be about. For instance, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said last week that the “basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on, without having some real-time information about what’s taking place.” If real-time video of the attack and communications with Americans on the ground begging for assistance doesn’t constitute “real-time information,” what does?

This is not to say that Fox News is alone in covering the story. But it is alone in treating it like it’s a big deal.

One of Mitt Romney’s biggest supporters, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, had nothing but praise for President Barack Obama today, as his state prepares to rebuild from the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

“I have to say, the administration, the president, himself and FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate have been outstanding with us so far,” Christie said on Good Morning America.“We have a great partnership with them.”

The president who seems not to care
Washington Post ^| 10/30/12 | Richard Cohen

History was draped over Obama like a cape. His bona fides in that sense were as unimpeachable as Bobby Kennedy’s. The crowd adored Obama, although not as much as I think he adored himself. Liberals were intolerant of anyone who had doubts. Obama was not a man, but a totem. A single critical column from me during the campaign triggered a fusillade of invective. The famous and esteemed told me off. I was the tool of right-wing haters, a dope of a dupe.

Yesterday, Mitt Romney's campaign floated the idea of doing a photo-op with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to survey damage from Hurricane Sandy, but this morning Christie shot down the idea, saying he was not in the "least bit" interested in playing "presidential politics."

Combine that with Christie's praise for President Obama's hurricane response, and Mitt Romney's relevance just took a one-two punch from none other than his handpicked Republican convention keynote speaker.

Hate and division through lies, distortions and slanderous opinions (touted as "facts") really took off in 1984 with the creation a Sacramento (KFBK) radio program and its national syndication in 1988. The economic success of these tactics did not go unnoticed, and on October 7, 1996 a cable channel designed to appeal to the political bias of a "low information" demographic went on air.

Yeah, he’s a gem alright. I do agree with him about one thing. He knows a lot about making money, at least for himself. But I don’t see a shred of soul or honor, just pure unmitigated (no pun intended), self-serving greed. Sadly, he wants to be President, but doesn’t understand why.
