I don't think that McCain would have looked at military action as a first option and I think this country would be much better off if McCain would have won the 2000 election. I think his choice of Palin as his running mate in 2008 was a disaster for this country.
More liberal cliches from Cher...

The Kenyan called Sarah Palin a pig signaling the start of full scale Soros paid propaganda campaign of personal destruction and misogyny.

Sarah Palin is a woman of accomplishments and traditional values. It is not Palin's fault that McCain lost.

America is no longer fooled by the Soros paid Kenyan smear machine.

Fox News' Lies Keep Them Out of Canada
By Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Reader Supported News
01 March 11
As America's middle class battles for its survival on the Wisconsin barricades - against various Koch Oil surrogates and the corporate toadies at Fox News - fans of enlightenment, democracy and justice can take comfort from a significant victory north of the Wisconsin border. Fox News will not be moving into Canada after all! The reason: Canadian regulators announced last week they would reject efforts by Canada's right-wing Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, to repeal a law that forbids lying on broadcast news.
Canada's Radio Act requires that "a licenser may not broadcast ... any false or misleading news." The provision has kept Fox News and right-wing talk radio out of Canada and helped make Canada a model for liberal democracy and freedom.
Canada nails Fox for the liars they are.

Nate Silver looks at the polling average in Ohio -- made up of roughly a dozen polling firms who have surveyed the state over the past 10 days -- and notes it shows President Obama with a 2.4 percentage point lead over Mitt Romney.

"There are no precedents in the database for a candidate losing with a two- or three-point lead in a state when the polling volume was that rich... It is misinformed to refer to Ohio as a toss-up. Mr. Obama is the favorite there, and because of Ohio's central position in the Electoral College, he is therefore the overall favorite in the election."

Ohio is not a Toss up.

Posted by Jill W Klausen 5pc on October 09, 2012 · Flag
While no one likes paying taxes, and while we all avail ourselves of the reasonable exclusions and write-offs allowed by law to lower our personal tax burdens—which, for average Americans, have been instituted as a means toward providing sufficient income after taxes for a family to survive on—no true patriot goes to the kind of extremes Mitt Romney has gone to, to hide income from the People of the United States of America, and deny us the ability to operate our country safely and securely.
Mitt Romney is telling us he built his fortune by re-organizing failing businesses; that's a lie.
Mitt Romney built his fortune by engaging in complex financial manipulations that no ordinary American citizen has access to, so that he could cheat the People out of tens, or even hundreds, of millions of dollars of revenues that could have:
Educated students.
Repaired failing bridges.
Improved aging and inadequate infrastructure.
Found cures for deadly diseases.
Protected us from terrorist attacks.
Fed hungry children.
Provided medical care for the elderly.
And much, much more.
But Mitt Romney chose self over patriotic responsibility to country. Mitt Romney chose the sneaky and manipulative path over the just and the righteous path.
Mitt Romney deceptively (and possibly illegally) "called" his management fees "delayed profits" so he could get away with paying the capital gains tax rate of 15 percent instead of the ordinary income rate of 35 percent.
He also sat on the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of Marriott International when they claimed fictional losses to avoid paying legally-due taxes, in what were called "Son of Boss" schemes.
Son of Boss and its related shelters represented perhaps the largest tax avoidance scheme in history, costing the U.S. many billions in lost corporate tax revenues. In response, the government initiated legal challenges that resulted in complete disallowance of the losses claimed by Marriott and other corporations....
In his key role as chairman of the Marriott board's audit committee, Romney approved the firm's reporting of fictional tax losses exceeding $70 million generated by its Son of Boss transaction.
His endorsement of this stratagem provides insight into Romney's professional ethics and attitude toward tax compliance obligations."
That makes Romney a CHEAT!
Stand up for America; Stand up for the elimination of the Romney loopholes. Stand with President Obama on November 6th."

It's incredible to the rapepublicans, but very credible to me, Mitt
is a crafty swindler, it's in his blood, that's all he thinks of every single minute, how to make money.
Did I just hear him say on the news "Of course I wouldn't shut down FEMA?" LOL! Oh my word, he's such a liar! He salivates at getting ahold of federal money to divert into his and his friends pockets.

I think military service experience can be beneficial for a commander in chief, but I do not think its mandatory or preferential. In the case of McCain, I felt that he looked at everything militarily and would have made the choice for military action before anything else, he still jumps the gun and salivates at the thought of war.
Not everyone is cut out for it.
lily,

You say military experience can be beneficial but NOT preferential.
Do you realize how stupid what you just said is?

You then proceed yo say that someone who was a POW salivates at the thought of a war?

McCain experienced episodes of torture, and refused an out-of-sequence early repatriation offer. His war wounds left him with lifelong physical limitations.

You are the Poster Child for stupidity, lily, and an example of voters responsible for why we have an idiot for president, who just left people to die in Libya, then lied about it.

Obama has no experience in anything except for politics. Based on the results of Obama and his OJT experience, his four years have not helped him, or us.

Has anyone ever told you you lack common sense?

Lowering capital gains taxes will increase jobs and spur the economy. More people working means more government revenues.
Closing loopholes also forces corporations to pay more which, in turn, increases government revenues.
Pretty sure that's basic macroeconomics 101.

Mitt Romney can't do what you just said.

He can't just close loopholes to increase revenues.

He & Ryan signed the Norquist pledge. Closing loopholes would be a tax icrease & that's a no no.
