Mitt Romney said "shut down FEMA", four more years, thanks mitt
Romney wants to ensure states, who are the first responders and are in the best position to aid impacted individuals and communities, to have the resources and assistance they need to cope with natural disasters.

It's about shrinking an oversized federal government who can't mangage or afford FEMA and restoring states' rights to manage their own affairs with resources and assistance in disasters.

You have to start readjusting your thinking or you'll never get it.

FEMA is in big financial trouble because the federal government can't manage it either.

<quoted text>Reaan???Ronald reagan was the worst president this country ever had Reagan was worse than Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan was one of the worst Presidents this country has seen. He was a total phony who would read from a script to hide his worsening dementia. He cared not an iota for the common man, but was a typical republican, only interested in enriching his big business buddies, and laying waste to the third world.
Least we forget, it was Reagan's policies that brought
1) Change to the federal tax system, giving massive tax breaks to the wealthy and big business, and shifting a horrendous tax burden to the middle class;
2) Change to environmental laws, wrecking havoc on natural resources, endangered species, and the health and welfare of all Americans;
3) Change to labor laws, wrestling hard-earned workers' rights from unions, and causing at least one industry, air traffic control, into paralysis, affecting the safety of air traffic for more than a year;
4) Change to American foreign policy, by selling arms to Iran, and forwarding the profits to right-wing Central American dictators to help fund their death squads;
5) Change to monetary policies resulting in his leaving office with the largest federal deficit yet seen in US history;
6) Change to education - when he could not disband the US Department of Education, as he campaigned to do - he succeeded in reducing Federal education spending by 50%, and ravaged local education control by diverting funding to the state leve.
Reagn is NOT potus.

duh..."80s calleDUH...duh cold war was over 20 years ago...is that yew Mr Reagan?????"

Twenty years ago? Would that be the Berlin Airdrop or China, Japana, Vietnam....orrrSoviet Invasion of Aghanistan...the Cuban Missile threat of the 60s (let's see what's 2000-40 years-DUHMocrapTic rethemerTic in action) orrrrrrrrr the Berlin Wall and LIBYA?(countint back 20 years CORRECTLY anyway)

The Obama State Department withdrew a 16 member special forces team from Benghazi one month before the deadly attacks on 9-11. Lt. Col. Andy Wood was the leader of the 16 member special forces team whose job it was to protect US personnel in Libya. His team’s mission ended in August a month before the deadly Al-Qaeda attack on 9-11. A six member mobile security team was also withdrawn around the same time. This was despite the fact that there were over a dozen attacks in the country this year. Lt. Col. Wood was subpoenaed to appear at a House committee hearing this coming week. Wood told CBS News it was unbelievable to him that the State Department withdrew security when they did because of the 13 security incidents before 9-11.

REALLY?

Please explain-NO one is above Questioning in this great nation!!!

Expecting Fiscal Responsibility from a Republican Administration: The Triumph of Hope Over Experience

The idea that we can trust a Romney administration to be better fiscal stewards than most of their Republican predecessors is to ignore everything we know about how Republicans typically act once in power.

Compare the Republican Party’s current positions with those of its hero, Ronald Reagan. Myths of Reagan’s rigid conservatism abound now, but in the end, what made him a success was precisely that he was not wedded to a hawkish view of the Cold War and how to wage it.
After the Iran-Contra scandal nearly wrecked his administration, Reagan dismissed the neoconservatives involved, embraced reforming Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev and forged an agreement on arms control that hastened the Cold War’s conclusion.
Domestically, yes, Reagan cut tax rates, especially for the wealthy — but he did not hesitate to raise taxes when he felt it was necessary, which he did on 11 occasions.
Reagan ran government at 22% of gross domestic product — at a time before the Baby Boomers were retiring.(Romney says he wants to get it down to 20%, precisely when those retirement costs are soaring.)

It appears to me the intent of Al Qaeda was not to kill the ambassador, but to kidnap him. They had ample explosives and RPGs at their disposal, yet when they got to the door to the room the ambassador was in, they used diesel fuel to light a fire and smoke him out. Stevens died of smoke inhalation, not wounds. If Al Qaeda’s intent was to kill Stevens, then they would have just blown the door off its hinges with their RPGs, then if he were still alive just lit him up with their AKs… or make a video of a bunch of Arab terrorists cutting his head off.
They were well rehearsed for the assault. This was a complicated battle plan involving heavy weapons, diversionary fire, and an ambush force to prevent the rescue forces from reaching the consulate compound coming from the CIA facility. We know where the facility in eastern Libya is where Al Qaeda trained for this mission. We have video of the attack. The FBI has the recordings of the battle inside the consulate that they don’t want anyone to know what these recordings have on them. I’ve got two questions:
Why haven’t we bombed the facility in eastern Libya where Al Qaeda trained to kidnap the American ambassador to smithereens?
And, WHO told Susan Rice what to say all across the television networks and at the UN? She made us look like a country of imbeciles.
It would be one of the October “surprises” is Al Qaeda succeeded in their attempt to kidnap Stevens, and Obama got a chance to look “presidential” while he let the terrorist that bombed the WTC and attempted to kill 30,000 (that’s THIRTY THOUSAND) Americans who worked there in exchange for an American ambassador. Looks like that’s just another October “surprise” that blew up in the Democrats’ face. How many October “surprises” is it now that have blown up in the Democrats’ face? I count three.
Then, as if it isn’t bad enough our Ambassador to the United Nations, and Obama, is making us look like idiots, Hillary Clinton tells the father of one of the Americans killed in Benghazi that the maker of a video that didn’t even exist when Al Qaeda planned the attack and had nothing to do with the events in Benghazi would be arrested and prosecuted. For f**k*ng what?
People don’t realize the danger this administration presents to our country and way of life. It’s blatantly obvious that the First Amendment, the very first right the founding fathers wanted to secure for the population, is nothing of importance to the Democrats.
The most important question today is:
WHO told Susan Rice what to say on television and at the UN?
It obviously wasn’t Obama. We’re in a situation where the sitting president is inconsequential in our government. A more dangerous situation for the population cannot exist.
WHO told Susan Rice what to say?
Bush, Dick, Scooter Libby and 4000 dead looking for WMDs that were never there. I compare this to all your "Danger" to our country. You Repubs are such hypocrites.

Now that would be helping and showing he cares about American's. And don't concern yourself with Donald donating anyway to help because it's pretty clear from tax returns we've seen of both Dems and Republican's....Republican's ALWAYS donate more to charities and send more money when and where it's needed.
Release the records if there is nothing to hide and donate to the Red Cross Obama....it's the right thing to do for Americans! Take the chance to prove how much you really care about American's....he's obviously blown all the other chances to prove it that he's had.

Very very similar.
Here is Romney's version of a stimulus back in 2008 - in great detail - straight from the horse's mouth.

Couldn't have been any more NOT similar to Obama's.

Where are you getting your information?

http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/226567...

He started out saying, "So this is surely the time for economic stimulus. But — and this is the crucial point — the government can’t just make itself bigger and more oppressive in the guise of stimulating the economy."

Right off the bat his version was NOT similar to Obama's. It becomes more and more NOT similar as you keep on reading.

I might as well head over to MoveOn to find a reply to that fringe right wing nutjob, but.....

At the present time, it does appear that the “Innocence of Muslims” video did play a role in the attack and the contention that it was a fully-orchestrated al-Qaeda event seems unlikely.

Five Ways Mitt Romney Has Moved To The Center Since The Republican Primary

“We’re going to cut taxes on everyone across the country by 20 percent, including the top 1 percent,” Romney said during a GOP primary debate in February.

But in the general election, painted by President Obama as a candidate mainly interested in serving the wealthy, he introduced a new component: the rich won’t actually get a tax cut because he’d close deductions and loopholes for high incomes.

“I will not reduce the taxes paid by high-income Americans,” Romney said during the first debate with Obama, in Denver. In a subsequent debate, he said,“I’m not looking to cut taxes for wealthy people. I am looking to cut taxes for middle-income people.”
