I agree that the Executive office should be held by a moderate. Romney has made both moderate and conservative pledges - which way is he going if he is elected? Nobody knows. Don't make promises that aren't yours to keep, carol.
Cutting deductions will result in a net increase in taxation for middle class families, while lowering tax rates will result in lower taxation for the wealthy - SIGNIFICANTLY lower, even including the elimination of deductions. As complex as the tax code is, that math is simple.
He is obviously a moderate conservative. That's good enough for anyone who isn't a far left liberal, isn't it?

Lowering capital gains taxes will increase jobs and spur the economy. More people working means more government revenues.

Closing loopholes also forces corporations to pay more which, in turn, increases government revenues.

Pretty sure that's basic macroeconomics 101.

Former President Bill Clinton told an Orlando, Fla., audience that Mitt Romney’s vague economic plan is part of a scheme to get elected, then steal credit for a President Obama’s coming recovery.
LOL! Obama's "coming" recovery? Thought it was already in high gear?

One of Obama's biggest fears is the next president getting credit for something that started during his watch. Sort of immature, don'tcha think?

Mitt will team up with Newt to put budget balancing policies in effect - similar to Newt and Bubba.

I think military service experience can be beneficial for a commander in chief, but I do not think its mandatory or preferential. In the case of McCain, I felt that he looked at everything militarily and would have made the choice for military action before anything else, he still jumps the gun and salivates at the thought of war.
Not everyone is cut out for it.

I don't think that McCain would have looked at military action as a first option and I think this country would be much better off if McCain would have won the 2000 election. I think his choice of Palin as his running mate in 2008 was a disaster for this country.

His job as President is to ensure safety of the American people; therefore, he is at the White House where he declared a State of Emergency, releasing FEMA assets so resources from across the US of A could be sent to the East Coast to prepare a response to help out the citizens there. Imagine that!

Posted by Jill W Klausen 5pc on October 09, 2012 · Flag
While no one likes paying taxes, and while we all avail ourselves of the reasonable exclusions and write-offs allowed by law to lower our personal tax burdens—which, for average Americans, have been instituted as a means toward providing sufficient income after taxes for a family to survive on—no true patriot goes to the kind of extremes Mitt Romney has gone to, to hide income from the People of the United States of America, and deny us the ability to operate our country safely and securely.

Mitt Romney is telling us he built his fortune by re-organizing failing businesses; that's a lie.

Mitt Romney built his fortune by engaging in complex financial manipulations that no ordinary American citizen has access to, so that he could cheat the People out of tens, or even hundreds, of millions of dollars of revenues that could have:

Educated students.
Repaired failing bridges.
Improved aging and inadequate infrastructure.
Found cures for deadly diseases.
Protected us from terrorist attacks.
Fed hungry children.
Provided medical care for the elderly.
And much, much more.
But Mitt Romney chose self over patriotic responsibility to country. Mitt Romney chose the sneaky and manipulative path over the just and the righteous path.

Mitt Romney deceptively (and possibly illegally) "called" his management fees "delayed profits" so he could get away with paying the capital gains tax rate of 15 percent instead of the ordinary income rate of 35 percent.

He also sat on the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of Marriott International when they claimed fictional losses to avoid paying legally-due taxes, in what were called "Son of Boss" schemes.

Son of Boss and its related shelters represented perhaps the largest tax avoidance scheme in history, costing the U.S. many billions in lost corporate tax revenues. In response, the government initiated legal challenges that resulted in complete disallowance of the losses claimed by Marriott and other corporations....

In his key role as chairman of the Marriott board's audit committee, Romney approved the firm's reporting of fictional tax losses exceeding $70 million generated by its Son of Boss transaction.

His endorsement of this stratagem provides insight into Romney's professional ethics and attitude toward tax compliance obligations."

That makes Romney a CHEAT!

Stand up for America; Stand up for the elimination of the Romney loopholes. Stand with President Obama on November 6th." ...

Three atacks. "Big schedule". None of which were detected beforehand. Compare that to Bush who was repeatedly warned and shrugged off 9-11. That really makes you look "good" doesn't it?

And yes to the terrorists taking flight lessons, which FBI agents reported. Hmmm, so why was nothing done?

If the terror theat was so escalated, as you righties insist, then how come Bush completely ignored it?
But, Bush put the CIA back together sufficiently to arrest one of the 9/11 hijackers before the attack.
Bush didn't put the CIA back together any more than leaving office with a revived U.S. economy.
In fact, we had the 9/11 plans in our possession before the attack, Zacariah Moussaoui. But, liberal judges wouldn't let the FBI look into Moussaoui's hard drive.
Proof, please. Wasn't Moussaoui arrested after 9-11?
For some reason, these liberal judges didn't have any constitutional objection to this on 9/12.
Proof, please. On everything you state here.
Get an education. That indoctrination you allowed yourself to be consumed with makes you look like an idiot.
Yeah, tell me about it, you goose-stepping, knows Mein Kampf by heart, stormtrooper.

You blew it on 9-11 even after being warned. Live with it.

Former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice broke with the majority of her party last night on Fox News, as she tried to hit the brakes on the right wing’s politicization of the recent attack in Libya.

Host Greta Van Susteren asked Rice directly and repeatedly about a set of emails uncovered by Reuters. In what has been dubbed “Benghazi-Gate,” the conservative media has jumped on the emails as definitive proof that the Obama administration has been lying about what it knew and when in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attack on a diplomatic mission in Benghazi. Rice’s response was likely not what Van Susteren expected:

RICE: But when things are unfolding very, very quickly, it’s not always easy to know what is really going on on the ground. And to my mind, the really important questions here are about how information was collected. Did the various agencies really coordinate and share intelligence in the way that we had hoped, with the reforms that were made after 9/11?

So there’s a big picture to be examined here. But we don’t have all of the pieces, and I think it’s easy to try and jump to conclusions about what might have happened here. It’s probably better to let the relevant bodies do their work.

Fox News' Lies Keep Them Out of Canada

By Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Reader Supported News
01 March 11

As America's middle class battles for its survival on the Wisconsin barricades - against various Koch Oil surrogates and the corporate toadies at Fox News - fans of enlightenment, democracy and justice can take comfort from a significant victory north of the Wisconsin border. Fox News will not be moving into Canada after all! The reason: Canadian regulators announced last week they would reject efforts by Canada's right-wing Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, to repeal a law that forbids lying on broadcast news.

Canada's Radio Act requires that "a licenser may not broadcast ... any false or misleading news." The provision has kept Fox News and right-wing talk radio out of Canada and helped make Canada a model for liberal democracy and freedom.
