What the hell are you talking about Carol? Investigations were begun by federal prosecutor John Durham into the treatment of detainees and included the deaths of two detainees ,Gul Rahman and Manadel al Jamadi but no charges were ever filed let alone dropped.
There's no evidence that any useful information was ever obtained by torture and Bin Laden's whereabouts was determined by good old fashion intelligence work using tips to get the name of Bin Laden's courier and ultimately tracking him to the compound.
Obama deserves a lot of credit for making the risky decision to send the SEAL team in. The result was not only the death of the most notorious terrorist of our times but a treasure trove of intelligence found on computer flash drives recovered from the compound.
