Four years ago in America, not for the first time, the tactic of changing the issue to something useless was used. With two large-scale land wars the standing party tried to change the topic and ignore the real issues affecting people. Issues like abortion were used to deflect from what was hurting America at the time; a financial crisis caused by over reliance on the self-governance of wealthy banks. The banks got help under both the incumbent president and his successor. Soon Americans will go to the polls again but with rising inflation for nearly 8 years in gas and food prices the race is being hijacked by issues that don't matter. Whether gays marry or not, Americans are looking at higher heating bills, higher bills to go to and from work, and higher bills for food. Yet the parties are happy trying to make these issues critical because they know they have no intention of stopping the wars, reeling in the banks, or addressing the growing cost of living for average Americans.

New Romney lie: Scare Ohioans by falsely claiming Chrysler may move all Jeep production to China

I saw a story today that one of the great manufacturers in this state Jeep — now owned by the Italians — is thinking of moving all production to China," Romney said at a rally in Defiance, Ohio, home to a General Motors powertrain plant. "I will fight for every good job in America. I'm going to fight to make sure trade is fair, and if it's fair America will win."

Romney was apparently responding to reports Thursday on right-leaning blogs that misinterpreted a recent Bloomberg News story earlier this week that said Chrysler, owned by Italian automaker Fiat SpA, is thinking of building Jeeps in China for sale in the Chinese market.

But Romney didn't simply get his facts wrong. As Jonathan Cohn points out, Chrysler is actually expanding Jeep production right here in the United States.

About 1,100 new Chrysler employees will begin working next week on a third crew at Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit as sales of Jeep Grand Cherokees continue to rise.

So how will that turn out? Ain't no shock and awe that will shock and awe that crew.
Will we need to hide the cost so the Romney deficit will only reflect his top up agenda?
And what if Iran has no nukes? Some story about 500 tons of non-weapons grade yellowcake that was shipped to Canada?
And how many troops will we leave behind? In more ways than one.

And yet, as Matthew Continetti writes in the Washington Free Beacon, in “A Brief History of Obama,” the entire focus of the left, from November 8th, 2000, until Barack Obama took office on January 20th, 2009, involved an utter obsession with every decision made by President Bush.“Half of Washington was organized around the principle of opposing one man,” Continetti writes.“Bush was that despised by the left.”

<quoted text>What a moran! The entire article can be found under "Bad Science" "Women who drink alcohol, wear short skirts and are outgoing are more likely to be raped?“We found no evidence that that women who are more outgoing are more likely to be raped, this is completely inaccurate, we found no difference whatsoever. The alcohol thing is also completely wrong: if anything, we found that men reported they were willing to go further with women who are completely sober.”
And what about the Telegraph’s next claim, or rather, the Telegraph’s reassuringly distant and objective assertion that it is scientists who are now claiming that women who dress provocatively are more likely to be raped?
“We have found at the minute that people will go slightly further with women who are provocatively dressed, but this result is not statistically significant. Basically you can’t say that’s an effect, it could easily be the play of chance. I told the journalist it isn’t one of our main findings, you can’t say that. It’s not significant, which is why we’re not reporting it in our main analysis.”
So if the Telegraph are throwing blame around with rape, who do we blame for this story, and what do we do about it? On the one hand, we’re not naturally impressed with the newspaper.“When I saw the article my heart completely sank, and it made me really angry, given how sensitive this subject is. To be making claims like the Telegraph did, in my name, places all the blame on women, which is not what we were doing at all. I just felt really angry about how wrong they’d got this study.” Since I started sniffing around, and Sophia complained, the Telegraph have quietly changed the online copy of the article, although there has been no formal correction, and in any case, it remains inaccurate."
Where do you get your info? You are opinionated and ignorant to boot. Of course no woman "deserves " to be raped, but you only care about trying to debunk somebodies opinion, no matter what. If a scientist or your average joe has an opinion. they are entitled to it, but it doesnt make it right. Just as your opinion, no matter how may insults and foul remarks you attach to it. Try growing up and debating an issue without the juvenile editorializing..... just grow up.

Wow, Proof again that he is a Rush Limbaugh believer. No wonder his posts are full of lies.
Too funny,
Figures a commie punk like you would laugh at such a matter.

There were all kinds of resources and even lasers honed in on the terrorist mortor positions, yet the slime (Obama for sure) at the White House said stand down.

His chain of command broke down and his orders were ignored by people on the ground who went in to help anyways, regardless of Obama's order.

People died because of the punk Obama's incompetence before and during this 7 hour attack. Now the Teleprompter Stooge is lying, claiming ignorance. Bull$hit.

You're calling the POTUS's dead mother a "drug addled hippie slut"? For you and Rush death began at conception and your hatred of women indicates that without prostitution, rape and bullying you'd never get to use you "borrowed" Viagra.

What does a guy have to do to lose an endorsement these days? When Richard Mourdock said he believed that pregnancies resulting from rape were what God intended, there were precious few people on his side, not even conservatives.

But not being on someone's side and not not being on their side are two different things, apparently. Mourdock's comments may be enough to lose him the election, but they weren't enough to lose him Romney's endorsement.

Both Stephen Colbert and Tina Fey took shots at the GOP's sad legacy of unwanted rape dialogue this week, and Jon Stewart put in his two cents on Thursday's "Daily Show." Here's a hint: if you have to explain that your god doesn't love rape, maybe you've gone wrong somewhere.
