YA THINK? Economic distress, not abortion, is what drives pro-Romney women.

Many women supporting presidential candidate Mitt Romney are not driven by contraception politics but by struggling household economies, despite Democratic expectations that they will build the gender gap by assailing the Republican as a pro-lifer driven to end abortion.

In interviews with female Romney supporters, most don’t think he will delve into abortion issues other than to limit federal funding if given a chance as president. Some pro-choice women even told Secrets that they are confident he won’t challenge that status quo because he hasn’t made it a centerpiece of his campaign.

<quoted text>the election wll be determined by this:
'...if Romney's message keeps on resonating from now until Election Day, we can expect the combination of national theme and momentum to continue.
If so, he’ll end up winning most or all of the states where the race is tight now, and win not only by a comfortable popular-vote margin but by more than 300 electoral votes (he needs 270).
Obama’s failure to generate national momentum may not matter to him and his team, because his stragegy isn’t national. He is pursuing a state-by-state strategy, aiming to win those 270 votes in the Electoral College.
And you only become president by winning the Electoral College, which is apportioned by state.
Obama’s strategy now is simple: Win Ohio. Period. No Republican has ever been elected without it. If you count electoral votes and swing states, Romney’s so-called “path to 270” becomes immensely more difficult without Ohio.
As a result,Obama abhors a national theme. Thus, when he talks about the virtues of the auto bailout, he’s actually running on something that is unpopular nationally — but he’s betting that it resonates in Ohio, which has a lot of secondary auto business.
His overall campaign goal is to sow doubts about Romney’s fitness. It’s a little bit of this, a little bit of that, throw anything and everything against the wall to see what sticks.
This method of negative campaigning classically seeks to depress a rival’s potential turnout — not by winning new voters of your own, but by convincing those who might have gone with the other guy to stay home.
Thus the Obama campaign’s unprecedented torrent of negative ads in Ohio and other swing states, to the tune of something like $500 million.
Romney and the SuperPACs backing him have spent as much, if not more, in a version of trench warfare that has netted ad makers and TV stations a billion dollars or more — an almost unimaginable effort simply to neutralize the other guy.
All that money may have been injurious to the Romney campaign in a sense: For a long while, it led Romney to believe he, too, should pursue a state-by-state Electoral College strategy.
Indeed, when Romney’s campaign appeared to be floundering, it may have been because he too sought to pivot his entire candidacy around Ohio. His sober, calm convention was explicitly designed not to turn off that state’s swing voters, especially its women voters.
But as it became apparent Romney couldn’t out-Ohio the president, he found his voice as a national candidate. He stopped firing wildly in every direction at the president and found a point of focus: He’s the man with the plan; the president tried and failed.
It’s simple and coherent:
THE PRESIDENT HAS NO MESSAGE. None. For him, the election comes down to mechanics — indeed, down to this: Grinding out a victory by denying Romney a win in Ohio is his only hope.'

The Volt is an OK product. I know people that have them & think they are great.

If we invested in R & D, you'd be running through the streets screaming how we spent money & didn't even produce a single car yet. And you know it.

I know hundreds of companies that have benefited in the green jobs initiatives that would likely be out of business today without it.

That's funny Jane; a Greek friend lamented upon the rights continually equating Greece with our economic problems here!
But, we all know you are almost all just parrots, squawking what some rightwing radio or tv pundit has said to you over and over like a mantra. You do not even have an elementary knowledge or comprehension of what happened in Greece, because if you did, you would not make a fool of yourself everyday.

Here's one little hint: the wealthy in Greece have not paid taxes in years. It is rife with corruption and bribery by the greedy wealthy people who have raped their own country rather than support it. Greece does not make anything, or have any natural resources. So now, use your own brain, if you even have one.

I swear that if you all realized how ridiculous and ignorant you all sound; you'd file a class action suit against Fox News for turning you into the League of Morans.

Conservative media figures are taking a partial quote from President Obama out of context in order to attack him as reacting callously to the deaths of U.S. diplomatic personnel.

In an appearance taped today for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, President Obama was asked if communication between government personnel had failed to provide "the optimal response" to the Benghazi attacks. Obama replied in part: "If four Americans get killed, it's not optimal. We're going to fix it. All of it. And what happens, during the course of a presidency, is that the government is a big operation and any given time something screws up. And you make sure that you find out what's broken and you fix it."

Conservative media figures like Matt Drudge, Monica Crowley, Hugh Hewitt, Mary Katherine Ham,John Podhoretz, Jonah Goldberg, Erick Erickson and outlets like Fox Nation all used early reports of Obama's comments to attack him, with several falsely suggesting that Obama had said the deaths of American personnel in Benghazi, and not the communications effort, was "not optimal."

Dems are the party of bureaucratic geniuses alight with the ambition to control our lives by impractical and/or kumbya policies that often result in unintended consequences.

From the effect of Dodd Frank on credit for small businesses and more fees for consumers to larger social issues like the decimation of the family.

As in did Dems mean for there to be a “War on Children?”

Just a few examples of the unintended consequences of the Dem’s policies on family:

FACT - Since Roe v Wade in 1973 over 54 million babies have been aborted.

FACT - Before the "War on Poverty" the illegitimate birthrate was 7.7%, today it is up to 33% overall. Black Americans have a 70% illegitimacy rate which is three times higher than it was in 1964.

FACT - Children that live in a family abandoned by the father have a much greater chance of living in poverty, juvenile crime, not finishing high school, and a host of other issues. Girls have a much greater incidence of being raped, since that's such an issue to Democrats.

FACT - Children have a much higher chance of death and abuse in a household consisting of just the mother or the mother and a live-in boyfriend.
