You are way above your head here! Answer two questions: The economy - when were we (the US) ever at an economic recession like the one George Bush faced in his last year of the presidency? What is the measure by which you can judge the recovery?
1. Look at ALL the stats yourself-I don't WORK for free.(unless I LIKE you and am doing a favor)

2. Forget that Bush recession crap--it doesn;'t cut it with thinking fols--because it stinks of lousy oboTIC point and blameDUHMness.

for the most part, yes....but as Homer would realize if he worked in business instead of government, there are other factors that enter into compensation....such as potential for future advancement, need to increase compensation to retain employee, etc.....

truth is that some businesses pay women and minorities more to attract them to meet quotas for government contracts....is that fair???...

Did you notice how by the end of the "debate" that when Mitt referred to his mysterious "5 point plan" he was only holding his thumb up?

not universally true....

in our business, clients often express a preference for one employee to work on their project in preference to another....this will inevitably affect compensation and create inequalities for the same position....

Homer probably thinks all school teachers should be paid the same, regardless of performance.....

Nothing is universal except for death and taxes, well unless you are rich and can afford to hide your money offshore, but I digress...

How are businesses being strangled exactly? They are enjoying tax cuts that I thought were there so they could create jobs. They've not used the tax cuts as they were intended, to reinvest and hire. Isn't that what your party has been screaming about. More tax cuts so that business can reinvest and hire? Why haven't they done it.
You can recite Obamacare all you want, but the fact is, it hasn't costed employers anything and has done nothing but help Americans. Americans can no longer be denied coverage. Maybe that doesn't mean anything to you, but if someone has a child who is gravely ill, it does. If someone changes jobs it does. Americans can now insure their college age children. Maybe that doesn't mean anything to you, but to someone who has college age children it does. Our company and all of it's employees recently recieved a reimbursement check for our insurance companies because we paid more to them then our premiums costed and the Administrative fees were set too high. So now insurance companies can no longer drive up premiums if the money isn't going to actual healthcare. How horrible!
Nice!

Insanity is doing the same things again that you did before and expecting different results. Don't feel bad because both political parties do this.

In regards to recent unemployment numbers dropping and other reports put out by our Government:

"I'm a gun for hire, I'm a saint, I'm a liar
Because there are no facts, there is no truth
Just a data to be manipulated
I can get any result you like
What's it worth to ya?
Because there is no wrong, there is no right
And I sleep very well at night
No shame, no solution
No remorse, no retribution
Just people selling T-shirts
Just opportunity to participate in the pathetic little circus
And winning, winning, winning'"

(From Don Henley - Garden of Allah)

Amazing how the Government does not count those little insignificant things in the inflation numbers like food and energy but the cost of big screen TVs does count.

Unemployment does not count those that quit looking but are not retired or disabled, are underemployed or dropped off the rolls with the recent massive increase in SS disability claims (have to wonder how many of those are really valid with the onetime massive increase) so the numbers are meaningless.

The stock market is up due to the fed printing money as fast as they can and making it available for zero interest to Wall Street Banks and the Federal Government. Has nothing to do with leadership or confidence in the Government (ask the rating agencies like Moody and Standard and Poor’s about that one). Even Bernanke is saying he can only do so much and Government inaction in the correct ways will take us over the cliff.

The printing money (to make things look better that they actually are) is why your dollar is worth 60% of what it was worth in 2007 and why gas is now in that $5 a gallon range vs. the below $2 range in 2007. Supply has increased with demand worldwide but our dollar is weak against other currencies because the supply of dollars has increased due to QE1, QE2 and QE3.

Look at GM. They are starting to drop off again. Right after the bail out GSA replaced most for their fleet with........here it comes..... GM vehicles helping their sales numbers. When does the next bail out occur? We did this twice for Chrysler now. When are the taxpayers off the hook for big business and others not making the right decisions for their company or themsleves?

CEO of Oliver Garden and Red Lobster about to convert the majority of his staff from full time to part time employees so they do not have to provide them health insurance under ACA. Not only will some of them loose the insurance they may have now but they will also loose work hours when they are converted to part time. How does that help working people?

Ben Lauden is dead but terrorism in the middle east (and inside our borders - Fort Hood) is alive a well.

Screw me once shame you you. Screw me twice shame on me. Most voters need to take those words to heart.
