Okay so in a Republican world with all things being equal, why are women paid less?
There is no equal. It is an eternal quest for white male power, everyone else be damned.
The whining white male loves to whine that he cannot get a job because of minorities or women; bristles to work under a woman or minority. It's that entitlement attitude.

Yep, anybody ready for the Federal Reserve to print more money? How about another 5 or 10 trillion added to the National Debt? The dollar is going to end up being devalued by all these desperate acts to create a false illusion of prosperity. I'm surprised Obama hasn't promised an increase in the minimum wage amount. Oh wait, he doesn't want Americans to work. He wants the 98%ers to be on welfare so he can turn around and mandate we hand it back to the government to pay for the mandatory health insurance. Sounds like Orwell's English Socialism to me. Money will be pointless.
Wow, lets all vote for the Party who, when last held the White House, took us from a balanced budget on the road to paying down the debt to the worse recession in 80 years, a near financial meltdown, housing collapse, & two quagmire wars that created the debt these right whiners now blame on Obama.

If you really cared about the debt, you would never ever vote in another Republican in the White House or in Congress.

Boehner. McConnell, Cantor are all still there!!! The ones that voted for this economic mess. Just waiting for a Republican in the white House.

And really,. Paul Ryan??? The man who voted yes yes yes yes to all that debt under Bush. That Paul Ryan?? You idiots would reward that action with a promotion???

A heavy equipment operator can make a 100K a year. The rate in hos bracket is likely 25%.
Romney can make $100K on an investment through capital gains &would pat 15%.
What about that is fair?
The local hardware invests in inventory & pays 35% on their profits. Romney invests & pays 15%. What s fair about that?
The wealthy have rigged the system & dummies like you are too stupid to know it.
Romney/ryan's plan........what is his plan? Knock 7 points off the top rate while knocking 3 off most middle class.
Investment should be encouraged not penalized.

They offer bonuses based on how well the profits are. They hire people when they need them because they know that we can generate more income from them. They offer jobs to both men and women even if they have children as well as offering benefits to all fulltime employees. I'm in a position in my company where I hear about their values on a high level and they really feel like it is their duty to do right by their employees. That it is the right thing to do. It's a family business so it's not all about profits.
When Republicans here talk about owners and Business leaders that should be able to do whatever they want with their money, I agree, but that doesn't mean I think it's the right thing to do nor the right thing for our country and it's people.
I support the President who will support the same values that I see in the company I work for. Not a company that wants to take business to another country and not a company that looks more at the bottom line then the people they employ.

You forgot to put the number of people available for work in your diatribe. I will guarantee you the available workforce of people looking for a job increased a hell of a lot more than 2,200 people across the country.
The economy is stagnant today. The population is growing. That's a net negative for Obama and the Democrats.
If you want to know what will happen if this continues, look up the meaning of "Malthusian Effect".
That is our future with four more years of Democrat rule, aside from our Constitution being put into the archives and totalitarian federalism ensues.
You forgot the post to which I replied said fewer people were working.

They lied.

Romney claims he reached across the aisle in Mass; but he forgets to mention that 85% of the legislation was Democratic.
He used his veto pen 800 or so times and was overridden. He passed healthcare because he had a Democratic legislature, could he have done with a Republican one?

Amazing to me that last night was mostly about Mitt Romney and his policies under the spot light. It was almost like we've had a President Romney for the past 4 years and not a President Obama. Surely we would have heard all about Obama's proud record, if he had one? No instead, aided by loaded questions and a liberal leaning moderator he chose to once again attack his oponent. Why? Because it's all he's got. Some would have bought this approach as no doubt he delivered his words well. However this is not what a leader does, a leader unifies and reassures, he doesn't divide and scaremonger. Pretty pitiful really.

Nope.
The history of capitalism is diametrically opposed to your statement. Capitalism lifted the entire world out of what it was prior to World War II when if you had change in your pocket you were among the wealthiest 10 percent of the population in the world.
Capitalism is good. Just look at the results displayed around the world today with everyone walking around with a cell phone and playing on the internet, aside from living in housing that wasn't even dreamed of prior to the United States becoming the most significant influence in the world.
Putting a Marxist communist in charge of the most significant capitalist economy in the world will give us what we have today - stagnation.
If you want to know more about how capitalism works with the average living standard of the average person, read Malthus. In particular, the debates-in-text between Malthus and Ricardo.
Obama is about no such thing.

Obama's solutions involve capitalism - if you weren't so f*cking stupid, you would know that.

Market solutions in his healthcare, market solutions in his stimulus.

Shove your "ist" labeling. Is that all you got?

He was asked if he was in favor of equal pay for women. Yes or no.
BTW, he had 11 women in his cabinet; but no women partners at Bain.
Everything Mitt does is a phony show, a fantasy created for his ultimate goal to run for President.
He was not even qualified to be Governor; he did not meet the residency requirements. He claims Mass is "his" state; no, it's not "his" state. He's a liar and a pretender.

There's nothing stopping small business from achieving their goals. Quit filling in a bunch of excuses for them. They live better when the middle class lives better. Guarantee you our customers are all middle class. When our middle class is strong again, we will see record profits. It takes small business stepping up to the plate and doing the right things to grow.

Wanted to address the issue of Arlen Specter:

Whenever I think of Arlen Specter, I remember this:

Arlen Specter, a pugnacious and prominent former Moderate in the U.S. Senate trying to make a place for himself at the table, and carve out a defining moment to mark his career.
His Legacy: He developed the **single-bullet theory in President John F. Kennedy's Assassination which came to be known as The "Majic-Bullet" Theory and was the essence of The Government's whole case against Lee Harvey Oswald being the lone nut assassin.
And then had the gall to sell this insult to The American People. A traitor indeed!
He sold his honor and integrity when he concocted the Majic-Bullet LIE,**a theory of ONE single bullet "behaving" in a manner that violated and defied all Laws of Physics.

THAT, and the contemptuous way in which he treated Michelle Bachmann. Total disrespect. Cantankerous old curmudgeon. May he R.I.P.

Hope you bet on it!

China is poised to lose its place as the U.S.’s biggest creditor for the first time since the height of the financial crisis, blunting one of Mitt Romney’s favored attacks in the presidential campaign.

Chinese holdings of Treasuries rose 0.1 percent this year through August to $1.15 trillion, Treasury Department data on international capital flows released today show. Japan, a stronger ally of the U.S., raised its stake by 6 percent to $1.12 trillion, on pace to top the list of foreign creditors by January.

While Romney promises to label China a currency manipulator if he wins the election and says President Barack Obama has been too lenient in trade disputes, foreign demand is a reason Treasury yields remain close to record lows, reducing the cost of credit for the government, companies and individuals. Whoever wins Nov. 6 will depend on both nations to finance a budget deficit that surpassed $1 trillion for a fourth year in fiscal 2012. The candidates hold their second debate today
