Prosperity wasn't a sin during Jesus' day and it's not a sin now. Greed, envy and hoarding, however, was and still is.
Greed is good: Gordon (Mitt) Gecko
Hoarding is good: Offshore accounts in Luxumbourg, Switzerland and the Cayman Islands
Envy: "But, but, but, it's our tuuurrrrnnnn" whined Ann Romney

He was being paid. Right?
I think Stevens had a reasonable expectation that his government would provide security for him and others in a hostile environment!! Obama failed it’s that simple, it highlights this presidents ineptness and like of Leadership!! Failure not an Option!!

Thing is, most business leaders DO serve the good of society by providing jobs and a service.
Where am I wrong?
Not wrong at all Carol. I meant that the primary objective in business is to make a profit, they are not nannies for the public good. I hear people whine when they cut jobs or cease hiring, like it is their civic duty to operate at a loss rather than cut jobs. It's the polyanna thinking on the left that amuses me.

The CBO just said you are an idiot.
Where is that list of legislation the Democrats passed in the first 9 months of 2007 that created this mess.
I keep asking. You keep running.
Bush had budgets. He doubled the debt, created the worst recession in 80 years, a near financial meltdown, a housing collapse & two quagmire wars.
To listen you your constant whining about budgets, I would think the Bush Budgets would have had some sort of super power & prevented it.
Ok. I'll go over this one more time... just for you.
That "list of legislation" had already been passed when the Democrats took over all oversight of the financial institutions that collapsed our economy 2 years after the Democrats assumed oversight of them.
Let's go over the negotiations again. Here is a link that gives you the Democrats negotiating with the Republicans for no effective oversight of their idiotic subprime housing loan program.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1222905743912...

After the Republicans gave the Democrats everything they wanted in exchange for the Democrats not doing what they did throughout the Cold War, that being sabotage of the United States during a time of war, the Democrats supported the Iraq operation. That is why the Democrats were for it before they were against it.

Lessons learned:
Never negotiate with terrorists or Marxists. Any concession you give to them will come back to do you great harm.
Case in point is the concessions the Republicans gave to the Democrats to get their (temporary) support for the Iraq operation, then the concessions the Republicans gave to them collapsed our economy.

Something you pathetic racist friends seem to have trouble with on Topix.
So how would you categorize racial slurs against black Republicans, i.e. "Uncle Tom" and "Oreo cookie"?

And these were just some of the nicer ones.

I am saying that the vast majority of climatologists agree that global warming is real, caused by man, and will cause changes in our climate that will likely cause severe problems in our future.
We need to act now.
If these people are right, we could prevent these problems.
If they are wrong, we will have a cleaner atmosphere.
If you are wrong, our grandchildren will suffer.
So your solution is to put future generations at risk to save what?
I say vast numbers of climatologists disagree with your assumption. See how that works. One thing I know about liberals-their main purpose is to change culture. If you tell the same lie enough-it becomes the truth. That is how culture is changed. William Ayers once said to me he is not concerned with electoral politics-he is about changing culture. Getting rid of those people that think outside the collective, of course he is a communist.

Father of Climatology Calls Manmade Global Warming Absurd
The Built-in Nonsense Detector:
Hardly a day goes by without a news article in the paper containing a reference to someone’s opinion about “Global Warming”. A quick search of the Internet uncovers literally hundreds of items about “Global Warming”. Issues of atmospheric science journals will normally have at least one article on climatic change, usually meaning “Global Warming” or some aspect thereof. Whole generations of graduate students have been trained to believe that we know the main answers about climate change and only have to work out the details.
Why then do I bother you by introducing this section with such a ludicrous title?
I do it because, as one who has spent many decades studying the subject professionally, I find that there are enormous gaps in the understanding of those making the most strident claims about climatic change. In order to read the news rationally, the educated reader needs a few keys to quickly sort the patently absurd from the possibly correct. I propose to supply some of those keys to give the reader at least a rudimentary nonsense detector.
