You are asking academics, union employees, and government workers to feel sorry for business leaders?
Why is it that you feel like businesses need anyone to feel sorry for them?
The people that make those business grow and make money are the people who put their blood and sweat into those businesses, the academics, union workers, receptionist, mechanics, clerks, laborors, basically - the front line. Why should they feel sorry for their boss who in 95% of businesses are making 6-7 figures a year?
I'm not saying that we make them into bad people, because that they are not. Do they need to pay higher payroll and taxes for their business, no. Should they be individually responsible for the income they earn? YES. Just like everyone else is, down to that receptionist.

Nothing to argue with here so let me just move on. Homer, you can have that donut if you want it.

Romney maintains that he won't make cuts to social security ($778 billion) or defense spending ($902 billion) and will continue to pay the interest on the national debt to avoid default ($225 billion). Just these three line items would cost $1.9 trillion, leaving just $564 billion left over for everything else. Health spending, Medicare and Medicaid, cost $864 billion this year, so Romney's proposed voucher system, which would replace President Obama's health care plan, would need to achieve $300 billion in annual savings for the budget to balance -- three times the amount expected.
But let's assume he solves the healthcare problems and is able to cut spending and maintain care (again a very generous assumption), there would still be nothing left over to pay for anything else. Not only would this entail unrealistic cuts in health care spending it also would require wiping out total federal support for education ($153 billion); all social welfare projects - including unemployment benefits ($452 billion), civil protection - including federal grants for local police & firefighters ($62 billion), all government agencies and regulators ($33.6 billion), transportation like interstate highway maintenance ($102 billion), and every other government program you can think of from stimulus funds to research grants ($199 billion). In this case, much of the $219 billion in saving the Romney campaign identified would ultimately not be necessary here because the government would essentially no longer exist.
President Obama promised to cut the budget deficit in half by the end of his first term in office – he missed his target by about $700 billion. While voters loyal to the President will probably excuse him for not shrinking the budget gap, Romney's core constituency won't be as forgiving. Unless the Romney campaign presents a clear vision of its plans, then many of those fiscally conservative Republicans might not bother showing up at the polls
Again, I may be wrong, but I do not think that any of the above matters. They'll vote for him anyway. Which republicans will stay home? Maybe the Christians who can't seem to bring themselves to vote for a Mormon. But then again, anyone can say anything and vote anyway.

Women voters push Romney into the lead. It would seem that when told to vote with their ladyparts, women get all PMS-y and use their brains instead. It also appears, according to the article, that women are into weird things like budgeting, deficit reduction, and math.

What a surprise treating women like their vaginas only is not a popular concept.

The Built-in Nonsense Detector:
Hardly a day goes by without a news article in the paper containing a reference to someone’s opinion about “Global Warming”. A quick search of the Internet uncovers literally hundreds of items about “Global Warming”. Issues of atmospheric science journals will normally have at least one article on climatic change, usually meaning “Global Warming” or some aspect thereof. Whole generations of graduate students have been trained to believe that we know the main answers about climate change and only have to work out the details.
Why then do I bother you by introducing this section with such a ludicrous title?
I do it because, as one who has spent many decades studying the subject professionally, I find that there are enormous gaps in the understanding of those making the most strident claims about climatic change. In order to read the news rationally, the educated reader needs a few keys to quickly sort the patently absurd from the possibly correct. I propose to supply some of those keys to give the reader at least a rudimentary nonsense detector.

What church do you belong to?
How do you feel about garnering a profit from promoting irresponsible behavior? Bain was instrumental and responsible for the increase of teenage smokers. They did this in Russia too, creating a brand called Vogue, and even threw in a little free bracelet with each pack. Smoking increased considerably because of it; the profits were secreted out of Russia, through Luxembourg and then to the Cayman Islands.
The closing of the Sensata plant in Fremont after forcing its employees to suffer through the indignity of training their Chinese counterparts their jobs, packing up and shipping the plant to China, thereby causing loss of jobs and devastating the town would make anyone angry and rightfully so.

You forgot to answer the post again. You continually run away from the fact that you've been indoctrinated with a fraudulent history invented by the Democrats to hide the fact that they collectively committed treason and joined the enemy during the Cold War.
You are well versed in the system of lies the Democrats invented about Vietnam.
Here's the truth:
Ho Chi Minh didn't become a concern until he asked the Soviet Union to help him in the war he started against the French after he went to Paris and asked them to come back to Veitnam. The Soviet Union used this as an opportunity to expand their influence during the Cold War. He didn't become significant until the Soviet Union was supporting his invasions of South Vietnam. If he never invaded South Vietnam, he'd be about as significant as some other small-pond bullshit dictator with too big of an ego in the world.
Listen carefully to this. This is the key ingredient to understanding the US involvement in Vietnam:
As the Soviet Union increased its involvement in the invasions of South Vietnam, the US increased its involvement in the defense of South Vietnam.
That means the US involvement didn't become significant until after Ho Chi Minh asked the Soviet Union to petition the UN to divide the country.
Let's say that again:
Ho Chi Minh asked the Soviet Union to petition the UN to divide the country.
Immediately after the UN authorized the creation of North Vietnam and South Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh began invading South Vietnam.
This is exactly like how the proxy war in Korea started.
Now, idiot, here's the key:
As the Soviet involvement in the communist invasions of South Vietnam increased, the US involvement in the defense of South Vietnam increased.
US involvement didn't become direct until AFTER the UN divided the country.
The Soviet Union involvement was already at a significant level prior to this. In fact, as I told your ignorant ass previously, the communist used Soviet weapons at the battle of Dien Bien Phu, which was before the Soviet Union petitioned the UN to divide Vietnam into two separate countries.
The Cold War is a global war.
The Soviet Union is engaged in Vietnam.
The communists divide Vietnam into two countries.
The communists begin invading free South Vietnam.
The US assists South Vietnam.
The strategy of the United States during the Cold War was not to abandon our allies and run away.
You seem to be ignorant of all of this.
As for Nixon winning the war, the war was all but over in 1970 when the NVA ran away to avoid destruction when the US forces entered the Parrot's Beak in 1970. They waited until US ground forces left Vietnam in 1971 to launch the largest communist invasion of the war. They were defeated by the South Vietnamese WITHOUT ASSISTANCE FROM US GROUND COMBAT UNITS.
Now, I want you to begin your next post with one of the lies in the system of lies the Democrats invented about Vietnam:
"The South Vietnamese wouldn't fight for themselves."
Then tell us about how the communists defeated the South Vietnamese in 1972 when they mounted the single largest invasion of the war, the Easter Offensive of 1972.
... got a problem, don't you....
It seems the single largest invasion of the war wasn't successful, and there is no history of any US ground combat units fighting against the communists.
Was it aliens from space that beat the communists?
Or, was it the South Vietnamese?
Now, tell us how the Democrat-controlled congress of 1973 helped the ally of the United States after they defeated a massive communist invasion during the Cold War.
Look, you were wrong & I told you where.

I have nothing more to say about it. You can believe what you want about the Vietnam War. It was a dumb waste of human life that could have been avoided if we had only given Mihn a chance. He could have united Vietnam & not have had to seek help from the Communists.

Okay, here we go, Homer. Hold on to your britches.

"Beloved, I pray that you may PROSEPER IN ALL THINGS and be in health, just as your soul prosper."

"The Lord takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servant."

"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good."

"Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

"You have not, because you ask not."

We are to give what has been given to us. The promise in return is a prosperous and spiritually fulfilled life.

That's because you see it from an investors point of view. Investing in a distressed company, inflating it with debt, firing all the employees, eliminating their pensions and then filing bankruptcy is vulture capitalism. Yes the investors make money; but at whose expense? All the creditors of that company get screwed, as do the employees who have lost their jobs and pensions, the town is devastated because it's one of the only employers.
You want this man to be President? He has no ethics, no empathy, is a proven liar whose whole life has been a profiteer.
You have a grossly distorted view of how private equity groups operate. Sounds mostly like liberal talking points. The key premise is to take companies in financial distress (losing money), then restructure to make the company healthy again (profitable) and then sell the business off. If not for intervention these companies are mostly doomed for failure. Bain did much more good than harm, but it is not a painless process.
