Democrats are idiots.

The church is suing over Obamacare.

The White House knew it was terrorism within 24 hours after the messacre at Bengali.

There werre at least 10 Biden fibs - how pathetic !!!

Blaming the Media for Romney’s Unforced Error

RedState’s Erick Erickson is out this morning with a tired-sounding midnight-oil rant about media bias. He peppers it with this incantation:“But the media wanted to focus on Mitt Romney.”

A few points.

The media focused on Mitt Romney yesterday because Mitt Romney asked them to.

If he had merely issued a formal statement expressing outrage at the mobs in Cairo and Benghazi, the media would have focused on the aspects of this ongoing story that Erickson finds so interesting — effectively, as Daniel Larison observed via Twitter, it would have done Romney’s work for him.

I suspect we will be learning a lot more in the coming days about how much the Obama administration knew about security threats to our embassies, and whether they should have acted more quickly to fortify them. If it turns out the administration was derelict in this duty, it will deserve all the subsequent grief it gets from the Romney campaign.

But that wasn’t the point of Romney’s attack, was it?

The point of Romney’s attack was to invidiously link Obama with the Egyptian and Libyan protesters — to imply that he doesn’t love America enough to stand up for values such as free speech. On that score, Daniel McCarthy already has dismantled the argument from free speech.

Here is Erickson on the subject:“Yesterday, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a man who swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America, called an American civilian to ask him to stop exercising his first amendment rights.”

This is rich.

As Jeffrey Goldberg put it in the Atlantic, someone working in a besieged embassy sent out a tweet in fear — understandable, if not excusable.

I love the picture of Erick Erickson facing the same situation, making like an ACLU lawyer in the desert.

Indeed, behold the bravery of condemning the U.S. media for exercising its first amendment rights at the apparent expense of the hapless Mitt Romney.

Hey "moonbat"

As you like to say.

He gave the bulk of that to the Mormon church!

Problem is: they do hardly no charity!

They did recently build and own a $5 billion dollar mall in Slc Utah.

Hey Mitt! You bought a couple bricks for this thing! A for profit Mormon church owned business.

Add Mitt's crumbs to the Mormon church .....$100 Billion business portfolio? WTF!

You are in idiot, Lily.
"Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was far more generous to charities than President Barack Obama or Vice President Joe Biden last year, both in dollar terms and as a percentage of income, tax return data Romney’s campaign released Friday indicate.
Romney and his wife, Ann, gave 29.4 percent of their income to charity in 2011, donating $4,020,772 out of the $13,696,951 they took in."

The liberal men and women is wakeing up, you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all the people all the time, bommie did a good job fooling most of the people in 2008, the tide has turned. Because it shows just how incompetent your Community Organizer-in-Chief is. How he's more concerned with his own fundraising for re-election than the safety of our diplomats serving in the Arab Spring Hellholes he helped create. It also showed us that the village idiot he picked for his vice president thinks the murder of 4 Americans by al-Qaeda is something to giggle about. And once again, he blames others for his incompetence.
The Administration was not even aware that Ambassador Stevens and his entourage were in Benghazi. They traveled there from Tripoli, where the Embassy is, to a consulate in Benghazi without notifying anybody at the State Department. If he had he probably would have been advised not to leave Tripoli, especially on or around Sept. 11.

Interesting - here's text from the last link:
"In the war in Iraq, our military forces expended approximately 70 million rounds per year. In March DHS ordered 750 million rounds of hollow point ammunition. It then turned around and ordered an additional 750 million rounds of miscellaneous bullets including some that are capable of penetrating walls. This is enough ammunition to empty five rounds into the body of every living American citizen."
A month ago, some liberal moron named Old Raider was on here blaming "right-wingers" for ammo shortages. There is no longer a shortage - he didn't get the memo.
As usual, a dumb liberal blaming others for what his Democrats have done.

The GOP’s Secularism Problem
There’s been much angst on the right over the Republican Party’s growing demographic problems, most memorably by GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham, who said the party was running out of “angry white guys.” But conservatives may be facing another demographic threat as well: declining religiosity, especially among the young. The latest sign came in a Pew study released last week that found that one in five American adults now claims no religion, and that 34 percent of those younger than 30 consider themselves irreligious.
The GOP’s own base may be partly to blame. The data echoes a landmark 2010 study, American Grace, by political scientists Robert Putnam and David Campbell, which linked the new chilliness toward organized religion to the rise of the religious right. Other recent studies bear out their hypothesis: in March, Pew found that a majority of the electorate, including nearly half of Republicans, is uncomfortable with the amount of religious talk in political campaigns.(As recently as 2006, the majority tipped the other direction.) Mitt Romney has avoided talking about his Mormonism, and voters like it that way: in July, eight in 10 Americans who knew about Romney’s Mormonism said they didn’t care, and only 16 percent of the entire electorate was interested in hearing more about Romney’s faith.
The shift away from religion is especially pronounced among those younger than 30, who began abandoning churches in greater numbers at exactly the moment conservative Christians made gay marriage their signature issue. As the religious right reached its zenith during the Bush administration, even young evangelicals rebelled against the politics of their parents. That reaction came to a head in the 2008 election, when 32 percent of white evangelicals under 30 voted Democratic for the first time to support Barack Obama, twice as much support from them as John Kerry had in 2004.
Some evangelicals are openly worried about the trend.“We made a big mistake in the ’80s by politicizing the gospel,” the late Chuck Colson, a religious-right leader, said before his death.“Now people are realizing it was kind of a mistake.” A few evangelical organizations, like Focus on the Family, have undergone hasty non-partisan rebrandings. Books, magazines, and sermons on how to slow the defection of young believers have become an industry of their own, and attacking the old culture-war paradigm launched the careers of young post-partisan pundits like Gabe Lyons and Jonathan Merritt.
But a hard core of white evangelical adults continues to insist that religion drive political rhetoric. If the current trend continues, they will find themselves even more at odds with the American public—and, it’s not difficult to imagine, with the party they’ve called home.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/10...
Focus on the Family along with the Mormons, and the Catholic Church engaged in covert political activism against gay marriage in California.
Tax the churches and use those funds to actually help people rather to spread hate and intolerance of others.
The Mormons alone spent over $20 mililion on this. Is that charity?
