Lindsay Lohan Endorses Romney, And It's Actually A Really Big Deal
Saturday, October 13, 2012
Business Insider ^| Oct. 12, 2012, 9:44 | Walter Hickey

Lindsay Lohan came out in support of Mitt Romney yesterday. While most would, at first glance, write this off as gossip, it's the latest instance of an evolving trend that jeopardizes President Obama's chance at winning the White House. Lohan, by all accounts, is a typical low-information voter. And low information voters, like it or not, will decide this election.

But that only applies to Mitt.
Kind of like whining about the MSM saying Biden won his debate, whilst dancing on the MSM grave of the last Obama debate performance.
Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto is one of many who agree with Krauthammer. He wrote a devastating take-down of the rise of the news media’s so-called “fact checkers.”

"The usual conservative complaint about all this ‘fact checking’ is the same as the conservative complaint about the MSM’s product in general: that it is overwhelmingly biased toward the left.”

He concluded,“The form amplifies the bias. It gives journalists much freer rein to express their opinions by allowing them to pretend to be rendering authoritative judgments about the facts.”

http://www.mrc.org/node/41174

CNN has also discredited fact checkers as showing bias against conservatives, specifically Paul Ryan.

Sure Carol but what's the GOP's answer? Cut taxes and regulations which didn't do anything the last time it was tried. Let's take a look at the Romney way of doing business.
Sensata Technologies in Illinois made sensors for the automobile industry and made record profits with the resurgence of the auto industry. That wasn't enough for its owners Bain Capital who figured they could line their own pockets even more by shipping the jobs and equipment to China. While Romney is no longer with Bain it's his business strategy that they're going by and as a major stockholder he still makes money from their deals. The workers of Sensata went to Iowa and to the GOP convention in Tampa to plead their case directly with Romney who as the founder and a major stockholder in Bain still has considerable influence. Their pleas fell on deaf ears.
Bain in addition to padding their profits by paying Chinese workers a fraction of what the American workers were making got a tax deduction for shipping those jobs and equipment to China. Democrats have introduced legislation to end this deduction but have been consistently blocked by the Republicans.

So gov't does create jobs? Spending on education creates more than twice as many jobs as spending on the military.
What you state doesn't speak to Romney's hypocrisy regarding his military budget. Romney wants to add $2 trillion to the defense budget. With what, pixie dust?? We could cut "defense" and still ensure our safety from foreign threats.
The US spends more on its military than the next 19 biggest spending nations combined. If the point of spending is to create jobs, then the military is the last place that we would want to put our dollars. The military contractors are screwing this country. 300 dollar hammers...600 dollar toilet seats...1200 dollar coffee makers....think there might be a little price gouging? And who makes the money? Can you say Defense Contractors? Talk about waste.

The U.S. Employment Effects of Military and Domestic Spending Priorities: 2011 Update
Robert Pollin | Heidi Garrett-Peltier | 11/28/2011
This study focuses on the employment effects of military spending versus alternative domestic spending priorities, in particular investments in clean energy, health care and education. We first present some simple alternative spending scenarios, namely devoting $1 billion to the military versus the same amount of money spent on clean energy, health care, and education, as well as for tax cuts which produce increased levels of personal consumption.
Our conclusion in assessing such relative employment impacts is straightforward:$1 billion spent on each of the domestic spending priorities will create substantially more jobs within the U.S. economy than would the same $1 billion spent on the military. We then examine the pay level of jobs created through these alternative spending priorities and assess the overall welfare impacts of the alternative employment outcomes. We show that investments in clean energy, health care and education create a much larger number of jobs across all pay ranges, including mid-range jobs (paying between $32,000 and $64,000) and high-paying jobs (paying over $64,000). Channeling funds into clean energy, health care and education in an effective way will therefore create significantly greater opportunities for decent employment throughout the U.S. economy than spending the same amount of funds with the military.
$530 million to Solydra for green jobs is waste. Then $17 million more to retrain 1,100 green workers for new green jobs is overkill!

Google it.
Or ignore it. Suit yourself.
Googled it. Came up with Fox, Fox, Hot Air and Darden, first page.

The director of Restaurant Opportunities Centers (ROC) United, Sarah Jayaraman, told Resnikoff she believed Darden “was using the Affordable Care Act as a mere pretext to cut back on labor costs.‘Maybe they want to portray that that’s the cause of the issue, but it really isn’t.” Indeed, as Resnikoff notes, a number of reports have detailed Darden’s history of labor abuses.

Restaurant Workers Target Unsavory Labor Practices at Darden

While restaurant owners scarf up profits, workers with the Restaurant Opportunities Center are biting back with a multi-city campaign against a company that represents the one-percent of the food service industry. They have launched protests as well as legal action against Darden, which runs Capital Grille, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and other prominent eateries.
According to the lawsuit, Capital Grille workers in Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago were subjected to grueling work schedules and underpayment of wages, and sometimes were forced to work “off the clock” and denied overtime. Some tipped workers allegedly had their wages siphoned off to supplement the pay of non-tipped employees. There are also allegations of systematic racial discrimination—complaints that black workers were pushed out of the job and told they “didn’t meet Capital Grille standards.” In recent months, workers from other cities have also come forward with complaints about mistreatment.

Sounds like, healthcare aside, a shithole organization to work for.

If Biden's statements are in fact true and the Obama administration did not know about the requests for increased security in Libya or the reduction in security in response to the requests for increased security then there is something seriously wrong within the Obama administration. This is a great reason to replace it with a Republican administration.
If Biden's statements are in fact true and the Obama administration was being told by intelligence sources that the events occuringin Libya were in response to a you tube video, and all of the public announcements were made to that effect without vetting the information first the Obama administration is incompetant and needs to be replaced by Republicans.
If on the other hand Biden and the administration knew exactly what happened then the Obama administration is trying to cover up what really happened there.(They did have a live feed from the security cameras in Libya) Intelligence officers were monitoring those camera feeds. The Obama administration is guilty of telling lies to the American people and to the world. Heck they even spent 70k to advertise this lie in Pakistan. There would be two motivations to do this. One is to tell the arab world "it isn't our fault a filmaker did it." The other is to perpetuate the lie that terrorism is dead because Obama killed it.
In the latter case of the Obama administration is just as guilty as Nixon was at Watergate. A major election is/was at stake in both instances. The facts were obscurred to gain a political advantage over the opponent in both cases.
I think we need to investigate the facts and initiate impeachement proceedings against Obama for his crimes against the country and our constitution.
What is the difference between Watergate, and Benghazi-Gate?

More good news for the easily fooled:

Richard Foster, chief actuary for Medicare, warned Congress that seniors will have difficulty finding doctors and institutions to accept Medicare. Doctors who do accept Medicare will not want to spend time doing procedures such as hip replacements when the pay is so low. Yet the law bars them from providing the care you want for an extra fee. You’re trapped.

Foster also warned that within a decade, 40 percent of health-care institutions could be forced to operate at a loss. New York hospitals are bracing for the hit.

When hospitals run in the red, they can employ fewer nurses and buy less diagnostic equipment.
