The Amber Alert has been going on for 17 days?

Why doesn't the Trib and other on-line papers run this info daily to keep drawing attention to it? Just a thought.

"Police believe Connolly kidnapped the boys and issued a statewide Amber Alert."

I wonder why that guy would issue an amber alert on his own crime?

Is it a pt cruiser, a viper, neon, ram, stratus, sebring?

Grey dodge is kinda vague

This man isn't going to hurt the kids. Why do they issue Amber Alerts for parents like this??

The woman has already been proven a liar. Her relatives say the guy loves the kids, and would never harm a hair on their heads. Why is she saying he's explosive?

This a domestic situation, and while feeling badly for the mother, it doesn't require the resources of the National Guard.

Let's be real. The guy may be a jerk, or maybe he's not. But let's not forget there are TWO sides to these things, and this woman is likely no saint in this separation or divorce battle.

Because the father has broken the law by ignoring a court ordered custody agreement and taking the kids without the knowledge of the custodial parent.

The aunt does not live in the home so she has NO idea what kind of dynamic exists. My grandfather was seen by all of his relatives to be kind and gentle, yet he regular beat the crap out of my grandmother, mother and her siblings.

This is NOT a domestic situation. Those children were kidnapped. Regardless of the divorce or whether he is a jerk the father ignored a court order to return the children on a certain date. That is breaking the law.

I think the Amber Alert system is being abused in custody cases like this one. Amber Alerts should only be issued for children who are kidnapped by someone other than their family members.

The paper says it was his Aunt that said he was a loving father not her family. Why an amber alert? How many stories like this have a happy ending.

Give me a break! Like we see dozens of alerts on a daily basis? Please! There's one current amber alert in the Chicagoland area and it hasn't been enough. We need MORE coverage so these children can be found... alive... and while they're still children and while they still have a shot at recovering from this ordeal.

But the highway signs don't say Dynasty. The highway signs need to specify that the car is a Dynasty. It's critical. How many Dynastys do you see on teh roads these days. I think if the highway signs flashed this information 17 days ago the kids might have been found already.

Actually it is a reference to the 1988 movie A Cry In the Dark where Meryl Streep uttered the famous line later repeated by many including Seinfeld.

How is it 'proven' that the mother is lying? Because a relative of the kidnapper says he's a nice guy?

Are you really this stupid, his relatives say he would never harm them, I have heard this before and then the kids have been found dead. Sounds like this guy might be a little unstable. These kids could be in danger. Better safe than sorry.

What a bizarre combination of places that he hangs out. Libraries, homeless shelters, and gambling establishments!
He is a well read poor gambler?
