Umm, chicago is much better now than it was in the 90's . By the way, I have lived in Logan Square in the 92-93, then north side through out most of the mid 90's to early 2000's. I live on the south side now.
Chicago still does have few pockets of very bad areas, but it is not nearly as bad as it was in the 90's.

It is you who make everyone laugh, Mr. Park Forest. LMAO.

<quoted text>I have worked for one of the biggest club owners in Chicago and then his son, it got so bad that a person could not come in with a "logo" on anything-I don't care if it said Nike or had an alligator-they weren't getting in-and no leather, these guys would not have been allowed-when you are the establishment-patrons go by your rules, not the other way around-they pulled this crap on the North side also-it went no where-the guy has been in business for over 30 years-and once again looking for some easy money.
I agree with you, on this. Club has rules, so please follow if you want to get in.

Ps. You are still off with your gang to baggy pants estimation.:-p

Personally, I wouldnt want to go to a club with a bunch of white people anyway so if they are banning black men, I don't want to be there. I remember I pulled up infront this club and saw a line full of whites and asians. I made u turn to different club because we came on the wrong night, white night. I do like more of the grown man look though so a club i would go to requires everyone to wear shoes. I dont hardly go but if I do.
And I bet the crime rate dropped 90 % that night.

I haven't heard anything of just a apology and financial settlement being taken off the table.
that is what our chicago local news said when I had posted it, two days ago.

No precious I live in W Rodgers Park-isp changes because of AT&T-the city is bad-We have more gangs per capita than anyother place in the country-do you not watch the news. The Attorney general was sent because it is so bad. When the Reinvestment act was signed the gangs spread out and aquired new territory-I suggest you pull up a map of Chicago and look at all the crime-

Did it state that the financial settlement was off the table? They can offer apologies, sensitivity training and all that jazz but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are not "also" going to pay up.

I also do not think that the offended students are going to be satisfied with just a "apology" and "sensitivity" training for the bouncer/doorman.

Where does it state that finances were taken off the table? Do you have a link stating such?

Ok found it. Very good. That they have to do fundraisers for the charity of the students choice plus speak out against racial discrimination, etc. I think its a very very good deal that was made.

Smart students. Conscientious students.

Funny how blacks resort to the word racism everytime they cannot get their way. Teaching a race to be crybabies is just what blacks did not need!

Did you just call me "precious" ? LOL. Ok, your ISP jumps from rogers park to Park Forest? Right... And I am a Queen of England.

I know very well the situation in Roger's Park, however you being in Park Forest, which is 50 miles away does not give you any cred when it comes to a Chicago neighborhood.

I'm sorry I just had to jump hin here because your ignorance is simply astounding. First of all, the ISP under a name does not necessarily indicate the location of a poster. Over time I had been assigned ISPs from various states around the country without every having changed my actual location.

Second, this poster you were responding to is correct about Chicago having some of the worst neighborhoods in the country with some of the highest crime rates. Please do your homework before making comments and look it up.(I'm not going to do it for you).

the cloths a person wears doesnt make them a gang banger there gang bangers who dress appropriatly to sell drugs in the suburbs and the city (like wearing dockers and a polo shirt)

Whatever guy,
1. I am fully aware that ISP change routinely in a small community. It is extremely rare that your ISP will jump if you do reside in a large city. He says he lives in Chicago, there are plenty of access points in the city, and there is no need for him to use one 50 miles away.

2. the argument not whether there is crime in Chicago and how much of it is there, but whether baggy jeans and anckle high belt is a litmus test for a gang member. Mr. Park Forest has no idea what he is talking about and is broadly generalizing based on his bias. And you are making an assumption regarding our conversation.

those college students did act appropiatly and documented what happened its still not enough evidence for you that the club was wrong even after the white student and black student changed cloths and they let the white student in?

I am not in Rodgers Park-there is a difference between Rodgers Park and West Rodgers Park.
