What a load of crap. Pretty much every night club ive been to in the last 10 years, has a no baggy pants rule. They make you wear your hat straight, no steel toe boots. This is nothing new. Just some college kids looking to make a quick buck.

I have seen those clubs. But the thing is. Those same clubs allow some Vanilla Ice wannabee to waltz right in.

So it is based on racism.

That is a lie, our best friend worked at this club for years-the only color they see is green, this club has been many things but racist it is not. If we quit profiling in this city we will never get the gang problem under control-that is why it is out of control now. The blacks in Chicago scream racism is you look at them wrong.

Most clubs will not let white sneakers baggy pants in no matter who is wearing them. Why don't you try this? Wear pants down to your ankles, baseball hat, and some sneakers with no shoe laces. Try to get in in any respectable place.

If anything they are discriminating by class. And if you would wear then you have none.

The main problem is the fact that bars feel they have to have these policies to stay alive, and the secondary problem is consistently enforcing them.

If you look like a gang-banger in Chicago, there is 99.9% chance you are. Believe me.

It's not racism. It's dumb ass black kids dressed like thugs not getting into a popular bar. I've been there and it's not an all white bar.

Has anyone really seen how these baggies are worn? These males look so stupid. How could they even think of this as a style. They walk like they have a load up their arse. People, you really need to take a second look at this rediculous "so called style", it is too funny.

There's a difference between baggy pants and sagging your pants. Baggy pants are pants that are not tight (loose fitting). Slim pants are tight pants. Sagging is when you are obviously sagging your pants off of your rear. They're not talking about sagging. The guy was wearing baggy pants. The pants were on his waist line. They were not sagging. His pants were just baggy. So for you to even comment on sagging when that has nothing to do with this topic is stupid.

Ok let's talk about their ball caps. They were wearing them the same way Gang-bangers do and the pants were sagging. It is privately owned property-they should be able to serve who they want. Do you have any clue how hard it is to keep a bunch of idiots calm for the entire night? If someone looks like trouble then they should not be allowed to enter-for all you know the way the entrance is set up you can see idiots coming down the street. They could have been acting like idiots before they even got there in their too baggay of a pants.

There's a middle ground here...like it or not, there are many people who aren't comfortable in a club who's clientele is dressed gangsta. I've been to black clubs where the dress code is the same. You can't even wear tennis shoes.

And, let's face it, there's a vast number of people who classify "good" black people and "bad" black people by their appearance. Many white people would feel just fine in a club where there were "Obama" blacks, not so much with "DMX" blacks. Clearly, that's a generalization--but probably one that exists due to people's personal experiences. We're a pretty socially seperated country when it comes to race in many instances, it's hard not to make assumptions based on negative, isolated personal experiences and the information we're being fed by the media.

evidentally you missed the part of Chicago having more gang-bangers per capita than any place else in the Country-we now are ahead of LA-we should be proud of our haven status on top of it.

How could anyone glorify the prison-based gangsta fashion, whether worn by blacks, whites, Mexicans or whomever?

It sucks. It represents dysfunction and lawlessness. Anyone who then identifies this with "black" people and thinks it's discrimination to forbid it, really is insulting black people.

When I think of black people, I do not think of some jackass gangsta thug, but then I'm not a racist.

Apparently the style of the clothing were not the issue. When one of the young black males switched pants with his white male friend the white male friend entered the club with the same clothing they would not allow the black male to enter wearing. They still did not allow the black male entry even when he was wearing different attire.

Right now the club is negotiating a settlement with all offended parties.

If anybody thinks that color is the reason people don't get into nighclubs, they are out of their minds. You know what gets you by the "ropes" at a nightclub? MONEY and BEAUTY. Usually money for the men. Beauty for the women. No one gives a f uc k what color you are.

Now a days in night clubs, in places like Miami or New York, you have what they call "bottle service" in some of the "cooler" clubs. If you can buy a FOUR HUNDRED DOLLAR bottle of some bs vodka, guess what? You get in. If your white, asian, or BLACK. PERIOD. Yeah it sucks but that's the way it is.

The days of waiting in some long line and paying twenty bucks to get into clubs are over. At least here in places like the meat packing district.

There are plenty of people of ALL colors there. And the common denominator is MONEY. Nobody gives a F U CK about color.... if you've got the color green in your pockets.

Yes, plenty. Its a busy bar in the busy part of town. You dress up to the par, and they will let a martian in as long as he is going to spend $$.
