But its easier to complain. All that other stuff is so hard. Can you do it for me?

Young boys for many reasons go after older females -- be it experience, them feeling older, not worried about making babies, etc.
You really like to complicate things. they go after older women for the same reason they go fter girls their own age. They wana get some.

L2: I think some couples should be willing to consider giving each other a "one veto" power thing. You get to veto one superficial "relationship." (Dude, if you had real reason to worry, there'd be more than one text a day.)
L3: You're giving WAY too much power to the words in that obit. They are cookie cutter. And people who knew him knew he was a dkhead alcoholic and they probably couldn't stand him either.
Three for three.

L2: Let's say for sake of argument that this is a friendship and there is nothing to worry about. Let's also assume that LW is a normally reasonable man and not a control freak who clenches up every time his wife has a friendly conversation with a man. One problem remains. It *bothers* LW. It bothers him enough to write to an advice columnist for an outside opinion. That is the reason she needs to stop texting the young man. She isn't honoring LW's feelings about the matter.

And it actually causes a slight increase in energy consumption in certain areas. The overall savings it DOES create, are so miniscule (0.03%) that it's hardly worth it. I would support doing away with the whole thing.

As I recall, they tried in the early 70s. I was just a little kid so I don't remember details or anything other than having to walk to school in the dark. I do remember parents (including mine) being all up in arms over that. Didn't last.

Good point. I went back and reread the letter. I read n"on a daily basis" to mean once a day. I have no idea why I would think that. My bad.
