I been a cubs fan since 1998 when I suddenly flipped the channel to wgn 9 and saw kerry wood make 20 strike outs against the houston astros! It's been 10 years for me that I wish the cubs would have won a world series, not 100 years! before 1998 I don't care what happened!

Happy 10th birthday Jim.

You're a real veteran. The average fan of Wrigley has been one "all the way back since 2006".

By the way, a lot of things happened before 1998, but you will probably learn some of those things when you get into 5th grade.

I wonder what the odds were that the Cubs would not win a world series in 100 years?

Probably 5-1.

Yeah and I bet your team is in this world series, huh?
No, we as fans are knowledgeable enough to know that the Cubs are not currently in the world series but we were all very happy that the Cubbies won the First Half World Series of 2008 which is far more prestigious!

What a surprise, there are more Sox fans on this board than Cubs fans.

I guess their team isn't worthy of commenting on so they have to come over here and discuss Chicago's real team.

Guess you don't know how betting odds work. The more stupid fans make a bet the lower the odds go. The odds doesn't make it any more probable the Cubs will win.

This article has some really stupid comments/scenarios in it. "Will Dunn take a 1 year deal to see if he can hit 60 HR in Wrigley"- Yeah, because Cincinati is such a unfriendly hitters park right?
Padres taking on a bloated Fukudome contract and sending their ace pitcher over when they are trying to shed payroll? Nice. Good research Sully.

Yep, it's always easier to get on the "Cubs boards" with the "Sox boards" alway overrun by cubbie fans. This must be your first time.

Paul, you should refocus your writing career to that of a fairy tale. Getting rid of Fukodome, aquiring Roberts and possibly Jake Peavey and Brian Fuentes would be a fairy tale come true.

I just looked at the Sox board and found 1 comment out of 18 that was written by a Cubs fan. Nice try though. You lose.

As a Cubs fan, why were you on the "Sox board"?

I win. Again. As usual.

It's like shooting fish in a barrel. Or like the Cubs choking in a playoff series.

I was looking at the Sox board to see if your statement was true. See, intelligent people will actually checks facts and know what they are talking about before posting, whereas Sox fans like yourself just spout out whatever mindless dribble they can come up with. Thanks for playing. Try again.

Yep, as sure as the sun comes out and as sure as the Cubs fail year after year after year after year, not only can I find you on the "Sox Board", but you will find me on "your cubbie board" enjoying the occasional peek at your attempt to talk about baseball. This is of course easy, but your secret discussions of sci-fi events or male models and where to meet them shall remain the guarded secret of all male Cub fans as no one else has these interests.
Pehaps your gay dog, Manimal will come to your defense once he gets your but butter to disolve in his mouth.

The funny thing is, you will never find me posting on the Sox board. Funnier still, I have never seen you post on the Sox board either.
See, I can respect Sox fans that understand baseball, so I have no problem admitting I spend time on their boards as well. But you, on the other hand, do not even talk about the Sox. You are not a Sox fan, or even a baseball fan, you are simply a Cub-hater. How is that working out for you? Sitting at the computer, trying to get a rise out of people by spewing whatever adolescent insults come to mind. That is quite a life you've carved out for yourself. Bravo.

I don't expect to get a rise out of you since I'm not an afore mentioned gay male, Mr. Cub. Be patient though sir as I am sure there is a man for you somewhere. Try the next Cub Convention where attendees use words like "bravo".
