The sad truth is I agree and we have them in all 50 States unfortunately.<quoted text>
The sidewalk to nowhere was painfully funny for me.
Ever since I was a teenager I knew that people here were for the most part backwards. Bethlehem is a dead steel town, just like 10 or 20 others in Pa. Not real far from where I am now. That video nearly perfectly captured the prevailing mentality.
"We don't need another lawyer in the white house! He's a LAWYER!"
Well, so were some of our best. Like Jefferson... Adams... hell, pick one. There is a solid chance they are a lawyer.
It is a tragedy that none of them could articulate their plainly obvious concern.
When you run around screaming "terrorist" and "socialist/communist " and someone asks you "why?" you think that... You should probably not just repeat the last sentence that came out of your mouth. It makes you seem real effing dumb if you don't understand the difference between "Why?" and "Huh?".
But seriously, I can throw a rock from any street corner in PA and hit one of these assholes.
I am ashamed for my state. One thing is certain though. There is not very much youth on the sidewalk to nowhere, and it was NOT like that 20 years ago. I seriously think if we give it another 10 or 15 years most of the people in that video will be gone. McCarthyism didn't die out with Joe. It does seem to be a dying ideal though.
The other truth is the majority in Congress are Lawyers and Millionaires on both sides of the isle.
Even in New York there are plenty of Republicans in power and Centrist Democrats.
Another sad truth is the New York corrupt corporate mainstream media is against what seems to be an authentic liberal/progressive who wants to tax the wealthiest so our kids can have better public schools.
I am speaking of Mayor Bill de Blasio
There is an old expression that states: You Cannot Fight City Hall and win.
