Yep, Sen. Tom Harken from Iowa is retiring at the end of this year. Will a Republican replace him?

Obama seems to be having problems retaining SS agents. I wonder why? Maybe the agents are looks for reasons to get relieved so they can get reassigned!!! After five years of Obama, many agents will do almost anything to escape from the White House detail!

Oh, and Nixon, Reagan, GHB, GWB spent within the budget? Is that what she is referring to? Could that pig she shows us be representative of the grand ole party? Why didn't she quote Clinton as someone who balanced the budget, the only one in decades?

Only 1 correction. North pole ice is rapidly declining. They can say that both poles gain ice because they do at certain times of the year. However, if you are losing 25 kilos for every 10 that the cap grows... is that an "increase"?
Once people accept that we live on a planet that was not designed with us in mind. Things will become clearer. 99.99% of species that have ever appeared on the Earth are dead, extinct... gone the way of the dodo.
Wanna talk odds?
Who is to say it is a less than noble destiny?
But I am kind of biased, being human and all... If we know all you have explained, then why not prepare ourselves? Although I can't objectively rationalize it, it is coded into my whole species to survive. I would like to see the human race last as long as possible.
It is even more incentive to study our Earth. If we can't figure out that less pollution equals a brighter future... we simply don't deserve to survive by Darwinian standards.
I don't think anyone would challenge that an ice age would be unfortunate for humanity.
Nor, would I imagine that rising temperatures would treat us any better.
What we know 100% for sure... both scenarios are in our future.
Humans NEED the ability to control our climate in order to survive in the long term game.
Eventually this new science will lead to terraforming. Which is the penultimate goal. To ensure our survival by spreading out locally.
Turning Mars into a place that humans could walk around is not science fiction. But we need to completely understand what we are doing. What better time than now?
As you said, we cannot control mother nature.. it doesn't stop us from asking her how to do it.
Thank you Scrutiny. I am honored to have such a compliment coming from you, and I agree with the you that it is necessary to develop as much understanding about the earth and its natural functions as we can. I would never oppose sound, objective science but would also never allow myself to be suckered into the arrogance that the pseudo science prognosticators suggest is reality. There is danger in believing the propaganda coming from those that don't know what they don't know, but think they know it all. I'm not saying these people are stupid, as that is most definitely not the case, but overeducated ignorance is the bubble that they live in. Surrounding yourself with like minded thinkers and answering to those that want to hear only what they want to hear is the problem.

In my opinion, the most important scientific breakthrough that mankind could develop in the future would be the ability to convert sea water into fresh water on a massive and rapid scale. Of course we have the ability to do it now, but not enough to meet the demand of say a California or Texas. This would be far more of a benefit then thinking that wind or solar power will ever replace fossil fuel to generate and meet our power demands.

What exactly would HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebilius need to do to get fired? Obviously gross incompetence and pathological lying is not sufficient to a democrat president for that to happen. Just two weeks ago, when asked by a congressional panel if the individual mandate would be delayed, she emphatically responded NO. Yesterday they did exactly that. This administration is a total farce and major house cleaning is required to instill any level of confidence from the American people they govern.

Instead of a third party how about just putting "no confidence" on the ballot.
Instead of voting for the lesser of two evils (which still leaves you with evil) you can vote "no confidence".
If someone doesn't get what they need to win... you have a new election.
If "no confidence" wins... you have a new election with new candidates.
The two existing parties will have to produce candidates who are strong and smart and then they would be forced to maintain integrity to ever hope to get elected again.
The parties are not the producers of people's fate...Unless you do have some in Offices that have such a desire to be that a GUIDE for a people...

Sense has it that sense will place conscience to matter...

I would think that what matters has been elected? Matter of fact that is what I am thinking..

They ? Would they be the Republicans?
What about pathological living...

For what exactly to happen to not fall into lies? Would he be one that needs the convincing?
Isn't it somewhat like Bush and his Word to give the ok for WAR?
What did he do, he let the people decide...
As it is written so in the COnstitutional LAW>>> ????
ISN"T IT?

I mean am I wrong in who they Govern instill that Confidence into them? To you have to consider in demand to vote is to taste a balance to availability and affordable...to sufficient enough...

As long as she is loyal to Obama, she will not be fired! To Libtards it has nothing to do with performance but rather that you CARE and that you MEAN WELL!!!
That is why Libtards like Hollywood type people. They look pretty and talk well on stage. It does not matter if they do not make sense off stage, just on stage.

Oh, we can do that and have been doing that at GITMO for s forty-odd years now. Now, the trick is to make it economical!!!

Or maybe its because we weren't alive 100 or 200 or 500 or 1000 years ago to have them to compare too. The reality is Linktv, history doesn't begin the day we were born, or become aware of our surroundings and environment. Everything you listed above has been happening for millions of years, along with volcanic eruptions, mudslides, flooding, and ice ages. Science shows the planet has even flipped its polarity more then once in the earths conform to what they demand, which is control and power over you. The reality is that they are only making predictions, and these are based on flawed computer models using data that they feed into programs that they wrote. They cannot factor in water vapor, changing ocean currents, solar flares and other astronomical effects on the planet. For crying out loud, they want us to label carbon dioxide a pollutant. Thats as insane as labeling oxygen a pollutant, or methane a pollutant. Those gases, and so many others are naturally produced by the planet and its inhabitants, and have been FOREVER. Remember the ozone hole that we were all supposed to be freaked out about? It happens every seasonal cycle and always has. Do yourself a favor and be a skeptic, not a sucker. Arctic ice is on the increase at both poles. There are more polar bears today when we first started counting them. There are actually fewer hurricanes now then twenty or thirty years ago because it runs in cycles. Volcanic activity for the moment is at a low, but there will continue to eruptions, and tornadoes, and earthquakes, and lots of people will die from them. It's called mother nature and we cannot control it, and anyone that says we can is a liar. Thats just the truth, and we should all have enough common sense to accept that.
I am the number one cynic and skeptic on the planet when it comes to politics.

I know the corporate centrists Democrats like Obama and Clinton sold me out years ago.

You should take your own advice Skeptic and look in the mirror.

The people you refer to as socialist do not exists in Washington DC.

Obama reneged on just about everything and continued over 90% of all corporate rightwing Bush / Cheney failed and illegal policies.

I am certainly not a scientist and neither are you.

Scientist and Doctors are way above my pay grade and if somebody gets sick and needs an operation it is good to get a second and even a third opinion.

Most all Scientists agree about climate change so why should I put my trust in Exxon/Mobil or Rush Limbaugh to tell me what is really going on in this world?

I have a question for you Skeptic my friend: Because of the energy crisis in the 1970s President Carter put Solar Panels on the White House roof and Reagan had them removed.

Now if most Americans put solar panels on our roofs wouldn't that save us all money for gas/oil?

Scientists Gather to Finalize Dire Warning for Planet's Climate Future
World's scientists meet in Japan to complete summary of report that paints bleak future if climate inaction continues / March 25, 2014 / http://tinyurl.com/kyuh879
The world's leading climate scientists gathered in Japan on Tuesday to begin hashing out the final details of a "grim" climate report, which both leaked drafts and those familiar with its contents say will call on policy makers to take immediate action or face a climate future that will otherwise be marked by widespread ecological and human catastrophe.
Of those harsh challenges, the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report—according to a draft version of the leaked earlier this year— will show that the four degrees Celsius rise that we are currently careening towards will undoubtedly cause increasing natural disasters, including: more violent storms, forest fires, devastating droughts, flooding, widespread hunger, disease, and a rise in ocean levels by up to a meter.

God is more concern about the health of our soul than our bodies. How long is eternity as compared to our time on Earth? It is not important how long you live but how well you live.
How often do you do random acts of kindness? To me, charity is more personal like stopping to mount someone's spare tire or take them to a hospital.
On my 60th birthday I was having breakfast at a .Cracker Barrel when an elderly woman fainted and cracked her head on the floor. I had been dating my nurse girl friend only about two months at the time and impressed her very much.
At the end, I road with the other elderly woman in her car to the hospital as her friend took te ambulance ride and my girlfriend drove my car. I stayed with them until noon and the woman was checked out and her cut stitched and they were able to get back on the road. Sooooo I had my birthday breakfast out of a vending machine! No big deal. I hope someone would do that for my mother if the situation occurred.
